  1. Hello mate, welcome to TC, go to ACU Western centre website and find details of the club that seems closest to you possibly Wye Valley Auto Club. You will get all contact details you need to get started there. I am from Hereford as are a few on here and we are all happy to help. If you can't find what you need send me a PM, click my user name and do it that way and I will sort the info you need. Cheers PS With all that farm land around you I am sure you have a potential venue on your doorstep, and clubs always need new venues.

    Seeley.

I am going to MOT the Seeley, The speedo that was supplied with it when new was never fitted to the bike. I noticed in The Four Stroke Finale book the Seeley in there had a speedo fitted low down on the right hand fork. The speedo drive on my bike is on the left and the cable is long enough to bolt the speedo on the top yoke. It is one of the last bikes produced, has anyone else got the same set up ? Also does anyone know what is the closest match for the red used on the frame. Thanks in advance.
  3. I have one, I am around 14.5 stone and 43 yrs old and have come across others and they all say you cant fault them. Very low maintenance etc, soft power delivery etc. Is it one of the ones advertised on here recently, what year/ price??
  4. Malc, re the Hondas. One is selling(only up the road from you ) most of the others are started at high prices on an auction site used as a showroom. On one sale there was a pic of a stack of TLR or RTL motors, why??? Look at what I have got etc etc. Like me putting my Scorpa on there and parking a mint Seeley I just happen to have in the background, oh that old thing, and a copy of Tommy Sandhams Honda book on the floor by it. The TLR that is selling in Tenbury looks nice and a genuine sale, (think I spoke to the owner at Clyro), but the rest are just using the site as a showroom. NO BIDS
  5. Cheers Scotty, It had been puzzling me that something was not right about it. I have retracted my bid and noticed someone has done the same. I know where there is a Godden framed one that I will try to buy. PS You have made a nice job of yours in the mag. Thanks again
  6. No unless some one else has made a copy. They were only a short production run. One sold on eblag recently for 400 pounds.
  7. Early Yam framed one not a Godden. Same as the one in Classic Dirtbike mag this month.
  8. A early Yamaha framed Majesty 250 went on ebay tonight for
  9. I doubt they have got the WWW up there yet, its the back of beyond up there, we had a bad day and it got worse. Bent another chain tensioner in the rocks. Early doors. They are relying on snail mail still Stu.
  10. Oh no a disc on a TY 175, that will fetch em out of the woodwork. ScrumpyJack you must have been on the to bring that up on here. Wait for it!!!
  11. You need to use a different email address.
  12. He was too busy eyeing up the bird in the bikini and boots. Put him off his stroke If you know what I mean.
  13. How do you get the picture up ? Do you have to register with the site ?
  14. Yes I agree 100% but again should this job be carried out by the bodies who take a percentage of yours and my entry fee when we enter a trial. Also I think the mini moto thing is possibly on a downturn. What do people expect in a motorized bike for
  15. Slightly off subject, I thought NZ was the place to go, where they were crying out for tradesmen etc. Many can't get from here fast enough??? On the TLR subject I think some people get on with them and some do not. They fetch strong money here now. I think pistons were running out but a batch has been made recently and there are a couple of dealers are helping to keep them going supplying tank/seat units etc and other bits. Generally a good bike if you can get on with it. If not get the gas ouy change steering head, lower pegs and fit extra base gaskets to soften power.
  16. Hey Pitley, as you know I will help you with your trial, observing or what ever. Am I missing something here. As you know living in this neck of the woods you may see one or two Cotswolds. Where do they fit in, as post 85 but a manufactured bike and not a "special". Just a thought. Cheers.
  17. Catherine Zeta Jones could not make it here. Wooden actress. Gets away with it over there though. And I am sure she really wants to be with a husband old enough to be her father (not).
  18. Scorpa SY/TY 175. There is one in the classifieds here, (not mine). I have a 125 I am 5' 11" and around 14.5 stone and it will take me where the 250s go in a trial no problem. I think there are a couple going to be in the SSDT this year, so dont be put off by the size of the motor, which is aircooled Yamaha, so no messing with coolant, rads and fans. End of the day wash it off put it away until the next time. Cheers There you go, a straight forward answer, so what you waiting for, get it spent.
  19. There was a frame kit on display at Malvern show, RS200 replica I think. Looked like a nice job, no idea of the price or if a RTL is the donor. The same frame appeared late last year on ebay, they also do an alloy swingarm. It is being sold by someone down south Hants or there abouts. Perhaps someone on here knows a contact number. There are a couple of Seeleys about with shot motors, maybe another option?
  20. When you start the build don't forget to add it to your blog. If its like the Cub and Sprite I am sure you will make a great job of it. Almost a pity to paint a frame that well built. Looks great. Good luck with it.
  21. Re Paioli post. The Fantic has been relisted, new no is 290093332468. On a buy it now price. I think we have seen this Fantic on here before.
  22. I saw at Malvern some of the twinshock scramblers were fitted with reed conversions, where they did not have them back in the day. May be your best route. PS Malc I have lusted afer some things in my time, but never a reed block.
  23. I see one of Magicals old shirts is on ebay now. Same seller as the helmet.
  24. Nice and simple to fill in. I know my local MP is about to step down so get it in quickly. PS good to see the influx of Chinese c**p is slowing down. They should stick to what they know, Egg foo yung and chicken flied lice.

    Practice

I am from Hereford, ( there are a few of us on here) We have a good venue at Clyro, for trials (NOT PRACTICE) also you have 2 localish clubs, WVAC seems more mono friendly assuming you are riding your mono. I can not speak for Powys area, it seems to be a case that you need to know one or two farmers as there does not seem to be anywhere our side of the border I know for just practice. Things may be different your side ? Most important is get permission obviously if you find some where. Both clubs are always looking for new venues to hold trials around Herefordshire and its borders.
