I plan to use mine this year, not trialled it yet. Its still on standard tyres, levers and cables even Doherty grips Amal throttle etc. As it left the factory except for a Wes pipe. I also have a genuine Seeley tank cover/ seat unit that was supplied with the bike when new still in wrapper.
-
Not sure about lever coming into the bars, may want a fluid change/ blead. The pinky has a floating front disc which appears to be loose on the hub, and some of these are a few years old with a lot of off road work covered and some parts wear and the symptom may look worse than it really is.

I want to sell a registration number off a trials bike and when enquiring about insurance to be able to tax the bike I came across ebike insurance pay as you go. As I only want to insure the bike to tax it to be able to transfer the number this seems a good/ cheap way to get around it. Any one know about this as I have not heard about it before. Not had a road bike for a long while, things have changed. Thanks in advance.

Nice one. Look at the related videos on the right and watch the D cup ball trick vid. I struggled to watch the trick. You will need to scroll down a bit..

Stumbled across a pilgrimage video on Youtube, sorry I cant do a link maybe some one here can, type in ssdt on youtube and you will see it. Good little video Andy.
Sorry I just noticed it on newsfeed on front page. DOH

May pop down as its on the door step and see how its supposed to be done. Probably raining, usually is down there. Remember a drizzle down there is a heavy dew to the locals.

I agree with billycraig, I am riding the novice route and one of the best investments is a water back pack like a little ruck sack filled with water. Hydropack I think they are called ?= Brilliant from Halfords, also get some bananas in you before and part way through, I find they help for energy. You will discover muscles etc you never knew you had. PS keep the Saturday night ale to a minimum, or if you are strong none at all. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
-
Just watched it, they should bring it back, classic tv. Better than the s**t that they churn out now. Peter Purves at Easton Neston Hesketh estate. I see you had some ranting at Abber today Malc. We went to South Shropshire and also got soaked, good trial up that way.
-
No, but if you do a search on here you should be able to find some info and pics etc. Maybe somebody can put a link on, sorry I dont know how to do it. If no joy pm me and I will mail you some pics and contact details.

The 4 stroke bike started life as a Jialing Chinese Honda copy and the TY engined bike I have seen in the flesh, it seems to be one of his latest Cotswold creations to keep in the twinshock "spirit".
-
In 20 yrs of twinshock trials book there is a pic on page 58 of Steve Monk in the Isle of Man on a Majesty with the exact same exhaust, could it be the same bike ?
-
Besides the obvious disc brake, graphics and I think rear spokes is there much differenc between the TY mono with red frame and plastic tank and a Pinky. Not fussed on the TY with a steel tank. Thanks in advance

I bought a 270 Pinky off ebay, (big mistake) it was too sharp, almost like an old scrambler. Pinking and not running well at all. Sold it, but I will have another, unmolested one this time. Someone messed up a proven bike. Dont waste your money on a 270 conversion. Maybe Birketts can do something with the 250 porting, but I dont know about that. Yamaha knew what they were doing when they produced that one. I beleive the inlet mod improves response as long as its done properly ..

From what Pitley told me about the Majesty frame numbers, the 82 is the year as Woody said and I think 09 is the month being September and the rest is the number of the frame in production.I noticed the numbers are quite small also, and in the centre of headstock as opposed to modified Yam frames which kept the Yam number which is to one side as always. PM Pitley to confirm.
And of course assuming what you have there resembles a TY250 of course

Try pulling in the back brake and then kick it over.

None sounds like a five minute job, no matter how good you are with a welder. One that looked like a home modded one sold recently on ebay. See other post re Majesty before this in Yamaha postings. The shocks were laid down but the bike did not look right somehow, and the seller said the toolbox mod had been carried out, but it looked wrong. Looks like some folk guessed in the past how the mods were done, also the swing arm looked short ???
-
**** me I'd have wanted wheels, tyres a full tank of juice and more for that price. PS do they do a diesel yet ?
-
For all you Majesty fans out there the website is back on. Frames, tanks seats etc. Pitley informed me earlier. Cheers

The 3K barrier has been broken. A nice TLR 250 sold on ebay today for

That proved me wrong then I was always under the impression it was a load of bull. Wrong again.

Thanks billy, the Sciatica should calm down now the weather changes, it kicked in again last year when the temperature dropped but now unless I am doing it no favours at work it should be okay.(If its in the leg its okay, I can live with it) I need to keep an eye on the new hip problem which came on all of a sudden after a trial a few weeks ago and plays up first thing in the morning and is okay later on in the day. Age maybe ??? Thanks again.
-
I went through the motions of taking Glucosamine and cod liver capsules last year with an elbow problem, it cleared up about 90%, still get a pain now and then brought on by my job (bricklayer) but recently especially Monday after a trial I now have a very sore hip joint so I may try them again. I struggle to move around for a few minutes and it is sore for a while, but as the day goes on it disappears only to return next morning.. What with Sciatica in my left leg I think I am falling apart at 43.

Thanks all, I realise now it is not a requirement to have a speedo for the MOT but it is required to ride on the road (odd law that one). I have the Honda hub with the rubber in, so the speedo can go back in the box. Thanks again.
-
You need a speedo, the tester needs to know the mileage evey year and you need to know how fast you are travelling at on the road.
