  1. I'LL ALSO GET ME COAT. ( BRICKLAYER) Now I'm sure I've lowered the tone so lets see some other proper jobs posted (joke)
  2. Trials was always a cheap one to get in to, and its still possible, (just) it is also possible to get into spending a LARGE amount to get the bike you want or need to compete etc. When it gets to the size of the wallet, and not the skill of the rider and his chosen machine it is all going down the same road as the rest of it, MONEY. A sad road. But what do I know, I have seen it in many hobbies, mainly motorised. Keeping up with and hopefully beating the Jones's. What does it matter if Joe wants to put 2 shocks on his pinky, he is going back in time, thats his choice. Get the people out there having a ride and a good time etc surely thats what it is all about. I am AMCA by the way. P.S. Stop bitching......
  3. Hi, I am toying with the idea of buying a Fantic 200 twinshock, subject to actually having a ride on 1 first, as many rave that its THE twinshock to buy. I was wondering if there are any problems obtaining any parts etc. Also are they as good as everybody says. I am a novice rider by the way. Thanks in advance.
  4. Heres another, I used to be a motorcycle mechanic. Around 80- 83 Bloke brings in a Kawasaki Z250 with misfire. I went through everything, taking it around the big block for roadtest as you only experienced it when out on road. I must of taken it out a dozen times. Anyway last time I took it out, brilliant its sorted, went really well, I am on way back to the workshop chuffed as I finally sorted it, bloke pulls out in a Austin 1100 BANG right in the side of him I went flying over the bars and landed right at the feet of a crowd outside a chippy. Limps back to work, owner asks if I fixed the misfire, I said yeah but I've wrote the bike off. DOH!!!
  5. If any one is interested there is a HT5 reg is EEC 21 in a local m/c auction on Saturday 28th. H. J. Pugh 01531 631122. Ledbury, Herefordshire www.hjpugh.com Various other trials stuff there also.
  6. Trying to get a Honda C50 running that had not run for a while. No silencer on bike, put petrol in and fuel tap was leaking through being stood, bike fired after a few kicks, obviously with no silencer small flames popping out of exhaust port. Petrol is leaking down over engine, bike catches fire. I grab a coat to stop fire, no joy, remove coat it sets fire to a petrol can. I now have 3 fires, the bike, coat and petrol can. Put them all out eventually. Put more petrol in charred bike, enough to run it, guess what it started 2nd kick. This was back in the summer.
  7. Is it possible to buy a 24" computer screen, because thats what we need to read this thread. Nice bike by the way. See how I kept my reply over to one side so as not to struggle reading. Being the thoughtful bloke I am
  8. A lot of the TLR 200s appearing are in fact Grey imports. Japan home market bikes, never seen a trial. They are used on the road in Japan and are cheap out there. Many of the Grey bike dealers cottoned on to the fact that they are fetching strong money and as they have flooded the country with 400cc sports bikes, they have gone down the trials/ trail route. You wont be able to move for TLRs and Serows soon. Glad I sold my TLR when I did.
  9. I bought my Seeley off a bloke that had about 6 TL250s in various states. Which 200 Fantic is the one every one raves about, I am after a twinshock I can use as I wont be twinshocking the Pinky as spoke about in a previous thread. Thanks Still too crap a rider to take the Seeley out.

    Tlm 200

Japanbikespares have got one at 495 I think, and a mate of mine just sold his for 500. So thats about it for a half tidy usable one. Trouble is some people are put off as they were grey imports and a lot of dealers still cannot recognise them or supply parts. You need to use people like Bat m/c's or similar for parts, not much on the shelves, most stuff needs to be ordered, and a lot of people are put off by this. Good little bike though
  11. Going back to Boofonts question re the Scorpa 125/ 175. Last time I looked at my 125 it had an aircooled motor which is housed in a monoshock chassis.= Aircooled mono. There are a few out there whining about this bike as it has the geometry etc that others want etc etc. Surely get feet on pegs and riders out there enjoying them selves. Things always get complicated and people get bored or tired and walk away from the hobby whatever it is because of this. It is what it is. And if cut off dates for a/c monos are brought in that causes allienation obviously. Is that what you want coz thats what'll happen (Harry Enfield)

    Honda Rs 200

Its gone up another 50 tonight.
  14. She had cortisone and thought it was working, but it didn't.Manipulation made it worse. He is now calling it chronic tennis elbow. Accupuncture may be next step. Her other elbow is playing up occasionally also. Maybe because she is using it more. Thanks
  15. If its a twinshock it is on the headstock I think slightly to right hand side as you sit on the bike. If its a mono I am not sure but probably same place.
  16. My partner has been off work for nearly 3 months with what her doctor prescribed originally as tennis elbow. He changed his mind a few weeks ago and has gone back to tennis elbow now. She has been told to rest it. It feels exactly the same today as it did 3 months ago. It is a RSI complaint that was brought on at work. Has anybody had similar or had an op for it? I had tennis elbow a couple of years ago and I think it cleared in a couple of weeks. Thanks

Thanks, what is it worth, only roughly. Thanks
  18. Trouble is NOBODY wants to get started on the immigration thing, its about time somebody in power did get started on it. Look at the latest on the Muslim veil thing. That is the start of a well overdue debate, and the thin end of a very long wedge I remember when I was young and a top news item on the news was John Lyddon (Sex Pistols) saying F*** on TV. Things have changed big time. Thanks
  19. Thanks, that is a handfull I'm sure. I can see why it was shelved. wonder where it is now.

There is an RS 200 on ebay at present. Is it 100 % and what is it worth ?
  22. I have just been reading an item in a book called The world of motorcycles about Mick Andrews, printed in 1977. A bit of history etc about his trials riding up to that date. At the end it says he is helping to develope a 4 stroke trials bike with Yamaha which will be popular in a few years. Anybody shed any light on this? Thanks.

    Honda Rs 200

Is it me, or is the start price of that RS 200 on eblag creeping up slowly. I am sure it has gone up twice already. He has probably got lots of watchers.
  24. Tidy, do you get any grief if you enter the mono in air cooled mono class as its not as it left the factory etc.
