  1. Our club had a similar situation, and its not getting easier. We had 3 observers and 10 sections. So 7 riders started by observing and waited for a designated rider to reach them and then change over. It was a bit of a slow start but it worked and got us out of the s***. We are going to move to the punch card system where you dont need observers, you ride around in groups and have an observer for the group who is riding the trial and would be observed by another member of the group. I am told it works well, must admit I have not tried it myself though. Some of our members have and say its the way to go. Good luck. HEREFORDSHIRE CLASSIC TRIALS CLUB.
  2. I ask you, is it any wonder the countries in the state its in when you can pull sickies and go trials riding. Fair play to you, I'd do it my self if I wasn't self employed. No work = no money. Never mind hey.
  3. Kawasaki make a Sherpa I think. Its a bike not a van though.
  4. Keep the front pipe and replace the rest of the system with a WES system, a lot lighter and free flowing. Wes can be contacted on 01874 623030.
  5. Thanks, I have seen that, it lacks info on the flywheel mod though.
  6. Hi, I have a Scorpa TYS 125 which I am really pleased with as my local club run the aircooled mono class. The bike has had the carb and tailpipe mod, I have also dropped the gearing by one tooth on f sprocket. As regards to the flywheel mod, is it worth it and where does the metal need removing from? Also has anybody done any thing else worth mentioning. Thanks....
  7. Hi, the seals will glide over sanded repairs, but only for a short while as you will be damaging the seals slowly. It is a bodge at the end of the day and can not be expected to last long.
  8. Is that the Orange County thats famous for the Custom bikes? Its a bit of a way as I am in the UK. Welcome anyway.
  9. It is an expensive way to gain 18/19cc on the Scorpa. There is a mod to lighten the flywheel which I have heard helps gain more bottem end. I agree with you a 143 is not a 175, you could probably call it a 150, sounds like you are getting more for your money calling it a 175 I suppose.
  10. I went to GOOGLE typed in TLR200 frame and found Thumpertalk.com that is where the discussion took place re the shock mounts last year, still on ther now though, other mods mentioned also. Nothing about them expensive shocks I dont think
  11. I would say there is not a great deal in it to be fair. The Scorpa engine is a Yamaha TTR125 and things have moved on in 20 yrs. There are a couple of mods to do to a Scorpa to improve the power, but as I am a novice I think it feels about right for now. I would advise you to have a ride on one if you get a chance, I was amazed at the difference straight away when I tried one and decided that was the way to go, as our club HEREFORDSHIRE CLASSIC TRIALS CLUB has an aircooled mono class. Thanks
  12. I read on another site that moving the bottom shock mounts on swingarm forward about 2" slightly improves ground clearance but more important it improves steering. Probably same effect as moving steering head angle back I suppose. That was a year old + post in the states, so were all trying to improve the things. Thanks
  13. Hi, I am probably going over old ground here but I have recently purchased a Scorpa 125 to sort my riding out, I find it steers and handles well. I have a TLR200 that does not, there is nowt wrong with it, just geometry is worlds apart. I would like to get the TLR to handle like the Scorpa. Anybody on here done any thing similar at a sensible price. Footpeg position and steering etc. I realise the weight will also be an issue. Thanks.

    Radio 1

Have a trawl around on here and find r2wtrials you can download the 86 final of kickstart music an all. Sorry I dont know how to do the links etc, someone may help you find it.
  15. If you were just watching it go into your ebay activity and it will tell you there the reason it is no longer on there. Possibly like a sale I have on there at the moment, more watchers than bids. If somebody was a genuine interested buyer they possibly contacted the seller and did a deal. Saves ebays final fees etc, and spoils it for the "watchers".

Yes try Bat Motorcycles in Biggin Hill 01959 577145. They imported a few and have possibly got one at their shop in Bristol. They know their onions when it comes to imports and get the stuff direct from Japan. If they cant help you then you are in the mire. If you go into your average dealer on the High St they are as clueless today about imports as ever. Good luck.
  17. Yes I have just purchased one myself, about same age and condition registered etc 175 miles on clock. I think this will be the bike that will sort my riding out. And I can ride with the aircooled monos obviously.
  18. Hi, I have got a Gas Gas JT250 chassis that I am going to sell (its in the classifieds) I was going to fit a 4 stroke aircooled motor in it but decided to buy a 125 Scorpa instead. I was wondering on the 95 bike are the rims tubeless type as there is a t/less tyre on the rear and tubed on the front. Thanks.
  19. Hi, has anyone on here got the name and number of a bloke in the Isle of Man who has got a lot of Seeley parts. Thanks
  20. Thanks for the replies, I had not looked at TMX properly until last night and saw the Yam engined one. I have spoken to John Bliss about the conversion a week ago just to pick his brains on the subject. Thanks again
  21. Hi, I have just purchased a 95 G G 250 JT with a shot engine. I am planning to fit a 4 stroke engine Tlr200 or Jialing or whatever. Just wondering if there is anyone here that has done similar and if so what sort of a job is it. I have seen one at a trial in Gloucestershire and it looked quite good. Thanks
  22. Try Ellastone breakers, they have broken TLR200s and have a new batch of imports coming in soon. 01889 590186. Good luck. They are in UK, but I am sure they will post a small part like that.
  23. Thanks Judd. What sort of a job fitting the engine etc. I am guessing the front mounting is first to sort using top mount on engine and go from there. Dont suppose you have any templates. I am looking for the easy way to sort it. I have seen one in a trial and it is the ideal aircooled mono route without buying a Scorpa, although they are a loveley little bike. I am selling a Tlr200 to go down this road as Tlr is a trail bike at the end of the day. Thanks again
