  1. Out of section high is the clip name, have to trawl round on here it has been posted a couple of times. If you PM me I will try to send it to you.
  2. Are there any others in the queue waiting for the bus, if so do you get some funny looks.
  3. Yeah put me down for a job n all mate. I can do that. Good choice of music as well.
  4. Thanks found it using Google, wanadoo does not always steer me in the right direction.
  5. How do you get in to the right part of the site to check on numbers etc as I tried a couple of days ago and seemed to go round in circles. Thanks
  6. All info can be found in a book; Performance Tuning in Theory and Practice, 2 strokes. A. Graham Bell. First published in 1983, which is around the era of Pitleys Majesty. Obviously things have moved on since then. Basically a trials engine cycle runs a lot slower than a race engine TZ or WHY, not all but most of the time. Thanks PS. There is a copy on Ebay, finishes tomorrow, bargain.
  7. Fins and crankcases painted flat black radiate heat considerably better than silver shiny surfaces. Remember also that heat radiation is retarded by the presence of mud. Low speed engines lose much more heat energy than say race engines because each combustion cycle is longer. It has also been found that blasting the head, barrel and cases with aluminium oxide will increase the surface area about 5 times. They will need a Kal guard coating and oven baking to enable to keep the aluminium oxide on the surface, operating temp will then be reduced by around 10- 13 % . Thanks
  8. Trials bike goes corner to corner in Caddy 2000 shape. Can you get 2 in a Peugeot partner straight in no bulkhead etc. Has a Partner got a Turbo on. Thanks
  9. Brilliant, we were just talking about these at work the other day. Saying you dont see as many as years ago unless you watch the tv at some ridiculous time of the day like 3 in the morning. Thanks

    Poppy Appeal

Just watched tonights news. Four of our boys dead and 3 fighting for life. Trouble near Basra, time to get our blokes out I think.
  12. BSA Chapman trials bikes used them as they used DT 175 MX engines, so the inlet from one may fit TY. All a load of bull though I think.

    Poppy Appeal

I watched the film GIZZA5 put on here and I must admit I shed a tear. That film should have been shown on every tv channel at peak times every night last week as it does bring it home. I think the talk of white poppys is political correctness yet again. Thanks.
  14. Not on a national level, but I observed my first ACU trial a couple of weeks ago (observed AMCA only before) and I was surprised at the difference in the stopping, hopping and re positioning etc. If I had not asked a couple of questions before the trial I would have given some good riders 5s all day long. I think I am up to speed on it now, but I would not want to mix them up. I think the confusion is the word "classic" as in the old way etc, as you say everybody is not singing from the same hymn sheet always, they see ACU and thats it.

    Honda Seeley

How rough is the Seeley? Does any one know if the bloke who was going to manufacture some silencers did them in the end?
  16. Thanks Big John, I appreciate what you are saying. Personalised reg numbers do nothing for me and the bike has no history worth talking about. It was not registered for a few years after being sold as its a Y reg. I was observing a trial last week and one LFS 4P was out riding and rode my section. That has history. I know I dont need to tell you its history. Thanks again
  17. Hi, I have got a registration number on my Seeley that has been valued as a private reg. AMY ***Y. I am not into these numbers and the Mrs wont change her name to Amy so I want to get the number off the bike, I may put it up for sale or put it on a retention certificate and sell it at a later date. Anyone done this, and is it easy. I had insurance quote and I realise I need MOT and tax etc. Thats all I know. Thanks
  18. When I worked in the bike trade as a bike mechanic I went from Hereford to Newcastle upon Tyne to fetch a Honda CB900 (new) around 82/83 in a Mini pick up. They couldn't believe it when I turned up. Got lost on the way back ended up in Hull. Took my girlfriend with me for a day out and she's still with me today
  19. I have a VW Caddy and I transport my trials bike in it, but I am sure a Partner or Berlingo would be okay. My Caddy is old shape X reg The Berlingo and Partner are the same thing, withh different badges I believe.
  20. Dont get me started on that one at this time of night with alcohol in me. I may not be responsible for my a ctions, and besides I will want to use this computer tomorrow to look on here. Besides I dont have anywhere on the scaffolding to plug a computer in in the daytime.
  21. I have been involved with our AMCA club for a couple of years, riding a bit and observing. Observed at an ACU trial today for first time to help them out. Thats a different kettle of fish, monos everywhere, hopping skipping etc. Possibly given busiest section as well. Eye opener, good day though. Thanks
  22. I'LL ALSO GET ME COAT. ( BRICKLAYER) Now I'm sure I've lowered the tone so lets see some other proper jobs posted (joke)
  23. Trials was always a cheap one to get in to, and its still possible, (just) it is also possible to get into spending a LARGE amount to get the bike you want or need to compete etc. When it gets to the size of the wallet, and not the skill of the rider and his chosen machine it is all going down the same road as the rest of it, MONEY. A sad road. But what do I know, I have seen it in many hobbies, mainly motorised. Keeping up with and hopefully beating the Jones's. What does it matter if Joe wants to put 2 shocks on his pinky, he is going back in time, thats his choice. Get the people out there having a ride and a good time etc surely thats what it is all about. I am AMCA by the way. P.S. Stop bitching......
