    Scorpa 125f

Which one have you bought SY or TYS. I have a TYS and gone down 1 tooth on the f sprocket, its a cracking bike. There is a clutch mod or kit available from the states. When you are doing the jets take a look at the choke, unscrew it clean it as they have a habit of sticking, spray it with WD40 that cured mine. The bore kit is expensive for an extra 18cc. There is a flywheel lightening mod also, not had mine done, details on Birketts site. Are you able to run it with the aircooled monos as some areas are having a cut off date for a/c monos. (petty) Good luck with it.
  3. I asked for a buy it now price, but he has to include the sleeves.
  4. Trouble is when they realise the postage bill is creeping up, up goes the cost of whatever they are trying to flog in the first place. The man in the street pays in the end. I like the one about Kinells mum swapping all the mail around, fair play to her. As regards the phone calls I just put the phone down, especially Indian call centres.
  5. If you go to your local sorting office I think there is a way they can stop a lot of it. There was a postman in the news a couple of weeks back who printed some flyers off his own back and posted them on his round to inform his customers on how to stop the rubbish, as you can imagine he had a bol****ing. Good luck.

    Majesty

I was working on a site with a bloke earlier in the year who has got a Majesty 250, (doesn't ride at present) and he was friendly with the bloke at WES, and I think he said he did not do technology, if you pump it into google I think you end up at BVMs site.
  7. I am considering going on his trials school. I did book up earlier in the year but had to cancel due to it clashing with a wedding. (Not mine) Any one here been.
  8. Mikedabike on here is fitting a XL185 lump in to a TY175 I think. Send him a PM he will let you know about the heights etc. P.S. is that what I think it is on the floor below the sump guard in the pic above of the Cotswold? I considered fitting a TLR motor in a Gasser chassis, bought a chassis off eblag as I think Jon Bliss has done a few, but I had a ride on a mates Scorpa 125 and went out and bought one instead.
  9. Nice bike. Look how tight a fit that motor is in the frame. I wonder how much bickering goes on when it is entered in the twinshock class, seeing as it was built recently with up to date geometry etc. I know my Scorpa 125 a/c is frowned upon. Even though I will never win any medals. Jobsworths= not only in the work place. I think in his ad in TMX a while back a NEW 125 was

    Majesty

It makes sense that a Miller one will fit if you think about it. As when THEY built the Majesty Yams the original system was probably used, and will fit both bikes and the chrome Miller replacement item is a copy of the Yam part. If that makes sense. (I know what I am trying to say)
  12. I have the book, have you seen the prices it has been up to on ebay? Some interesting info in the book, Pitley found one of the Jerred frames, a future project no doubt.
  13. Sorry, I made a mistake, I looked at my Seeley V5c and realis that my frame number starts with a 1 and then the number. I thought the one for sale was in the one thousand and realise now they all must start with a 1. I have one of the last, but had not looked properly at the numbers for a while. And yes it looks like a modified TY tank. ...............I'll get my coat.
  14. The last Seeley to go on looks more like an RS to me ???? Or has it been made to look like one. Also the chassis number does not make sense if it is a Seeley. I am finding ebay dead at the moment, it seems to be a buyers market with lots of things, which is why some of the Hondas have a high start price so as to stop the people who think they may actually buy a TLR, RS or WHY for 2- 300 quid. Because they are out there, looking for a field bike for little Johnny.
  15. STRATFORD MCC on the riders bibs on foot who are inspecting the section.
  16. I have seen the 200 motor running well with a XR75 carb as well.
  17. I bought my pinky a few months back and it had the r wheel rebuilt last year. I dont know who did it, but the spokes were available then. Ellastone breakers in TMX have broken some monos imported from Japan probably. If they were, most of them have not done a lot of hard trials work.
  18. Keep us posted, out of interest.
  19. Put a wanted ad in the classifieds on here, its free. Also off road breakers in back of T M X etc Ellastone break a lot of Yamahas. Theres quite often TY stuff on ebay. You are looking for a part for a very common trials bike, thank yourself lucky its not a Seeley or RTL Honda. Good Luck
  20. Hi, just a quick one for any computer buffs. I am trying to email some pictures to a bloke and he is not getting them. I noticed when I press send the blue line that fills the white box on outlook express gets about 90% and then flashes the words Not connected very quickly. Then Mcafee box pops up in r/h corner and gives option to send I press "send" but he still does not get them. Any ideas??? Thanks
  21. Hi, when the Honda Cub was launched in 1958, apparently sometime after Honda entered a team in the Ssdt. I am talking about the C50/70/90 range of Cubs(autos) not the road bikes with manual clutch as was seen at the pre 65 this year. The Honda Cub was probably the most important motorcycle ever launched, look at the production figures. If it is true about the trials debut I as a Cub fan have not seen anything about it. P.S I have seen the U.S variations with knobbly tyres etc and high level exhaust systems. Thanks.
  22. EBC have been around for as long as I can remember. Stick them in there, they'll do the job. No need to p**s about wi anything fancy. Jobsagoodun lu. If the cylinder aint broke dont fix it, stick a bit of tape round it, that'll do.
  23. Hi, I have an Idea for a book. Sadly not trials related, but 2 wheel related. The trusty Honda Cub is in its 50th year of production in 2008 and I would like to write a book about its history. I need some pointers as where to start. Obviously I know I need to pick up t he info etc but what about using other material from the web etc. I dont want to upset anyone, but at the same time it is what most history writers do is use other peoples info etc. Thanks in advance. Bo drinker.

    My Pinky

Hi, I have got a Pinky and it is a bit firey, and I know why. It is bored to 270cc and it is very sharp power wise. I have just purchased a 250 top end to sort it, as I want it as it should be soft power. I also have a shortened inlet manifold which is suppose to give extra torque. I notice your manifold is std though.
