Christ!!!! just about to defend a Beta Had quite a few rev3's very well made to be honest compared to some of the other makes, yer a few bolts are known to come loose, just loctite the regular loose ones. Think I remember the rear disc bolts/frame-engine bolts but not much of a hassle.

The tyre beader is a great buy,cant imagine swapping a tyre without it now,so easy. I have found coating the beader itself with tyre soap works better than coating the tyre, pops straight out and more evenly.

Think you can do it with a big vice as well

2nd that, ATF works great (dexron lll), nice and cheap and seems to give the clutch a slighly better feel, certainly did on the rev3

you absolutely sure the engine mount bolts/frame are tight

30 - 40 quid will get you one, well worth it if your getting through a few tyres a year and turn them often, not tried any other way to get the bead off but hopefully someone else can help

Buy yourself a bead breaker if you can, makes the job real easy, you'll struggle abit with levers to get the bead of the rim

Been using Braking pads in the Mont, the sintered ones, work alot better than Galfers especially in the front. Galfer in the Caby and Rev3 and they worked great apart from the sqealing (Sherco), not tried Goldfren yet though to be fair

thinking back I used to use the Repsol 2 stroke oil as well, worked as well as TTS but not as readily available when I ran out.

Light brown is a good colour at the top of a steep climb after full chat, expect a plug to be light brown to whiteish after a chop like that on full throttle. I'd say yours is jetted right mate

All has offs mate, part of the sport, to be honest coming off alot shows you are pushing yourself,start worrying when you ride all day without crashing. Good point about the lever ends, never ride with a bust one, you dont realise how many times you get hit with a ball ended lever in crashes untill its not there. I use a large guarded blade mitre saw alot in my job, a few years ago the guard bust and I cut my finger with 30 seconds of using it, hadnt realised my hand actually touched the guard untill it wasnt there.
