What you really need is a 36 spoke tubeless rear rim. Keep watching Ebay or other sources for some one parting out. It`s not too hard to lace about anything up.
-
When ever you split a motor. Nuetral is the desired position.
-
Glad to hear you found the problem!

B40rt brought up a good point. A lot of after market seals have terrible stiction, so not so smooth a stroke. No matter how great a mechanic did the job, lousy seals can be a bummer.

Happens all the time, most likely left the petcock on when put away. I have seen the same riders do this over and over. Started today because the fuel dried up and the new plug. Good luck and have fun. Just make sure the petcock actually works and everyone knows which way is off.

Move your hand over a half inch and learn to relax. I used to bleed every ride.
-
Tough call as the Beta never free wheeled well. Also you did check if the disc is bent?
-
The most important question is are you getting full travel up an down?
-
Patience, plastic mallet, slowly work each end a little at a time. Do not damage the center case leading edges. Have the engine laying on it`s side, clutch side down. You do not want the transmission falling out. You can cut an old tire tube into strips that make great rubber holding bands for the gears and such.

Could be a shock bolt. Pull, lube, replace
-
Yes, that sucks. Twice in my life I totally submerged bikes less than 30 days old. Once in a eight foot deep hole!
-
It does seem that I used a small two arm puller to pop it off. Been since 2008 that I split a Beta

How did you clean out the crankcase and cylinder and not the reeds. I think you trashed the main bearings running it after you thought you cleaned it. Did you remove the cylinder and flush out the mains and rod before you started it? Unfortunately a full rebuild is probably needed. Does it grind while running? Good luck.

Actually you should hold the kill button down while clearing the excess fuel. Had a friend light up a Yamaha snowmobile in his garage, still on the trailer and hooked to his van. Luckily got it out to the yard and dumped it off the trailer. Total loss, brand new never ridden.
-
That`s interesting on the linkage thing for the `14`s. Peters just rode our last event on his new bike. I`ll remember to ask him next weekend how it`s working!

Interesting comments. A better shock tends to have more action. (As stated above not all riding situations need this) Trick riding can be learned quicker. The standard shock can work fine for the top riders because they are spot on with all techniques. Kind of a double edge sword type thing. One thing for certain, some one does make money off them.

Here`s Osets history. http://osetbikes.com/gb/company-and-history/about-oset/ Now try to find Kuberg`s.

Is it not held on with springs?
-
So did you use air, and slowly tighten using a cross pattern? Replacing rivets with bolts is certainly a place needing Loctite. Worked in a hydraulic shop replacing rivets with rivets (When rebuilding) and it seemed touch and go. Thanks for posting!

Spring (washer) and bushing. Remember another rider had this issue awhile back. There is no parts breakdown for the `02 so use `03. The latter models had bearings.

Yes, it is much easier to remove the big items in the frame. Removing the stator allows you not to remove any wiring at all. Just changing the seals and mains is a fairly cheap job if you can do it yourself. Good Luck!

Like I said, go up two sizes on the pilot. If it fixes it, come summer go down one size and see how it is. Funny thing about all the jetting Gurus out there, the pilot jet flows from idle to wide open. If the bike is running, the pilot is flowing.

Yeah, would not want it to handle like a modern bike, Huh? Just kidding, I`ve had a few tlr`s and they are disappointing at best. For some reason everyone has a soft spot for the little Honda`s.
