Just a thought, the standard bore is 66mm which would give you 171cc and there are some 68mm pistons out there which would give you 181cc so your getting close to that 200cc.
-
You can get the kits from HERE and if think you should be able to get one from HERE you will have to give this guy a call as they dont look like they are listed but he has done them in the past. A mate of mine has one fitted but I think you would have to be real keen to want one for that little extra.
-
They sound good, I liked the track When You Were Young best, hope they do well. But then I am soon to be an old git of 51 so they probably won't want me in their fan club.
-
I presume you have checked the rubber O ring that makes a seal between the tail pipe and the mid section, if this leaks then it will sound a little on the loud side.
-
KuelMuel, you can call me stupid if you like but if the service limit is 1mm and yours are 2.5mm then they are 1.5mm over the limit.
-
If they are anything like the rings that I removed with bits broken off then the gap will be about 1"
-
Not an expert on that type of spoke but from from experience on rebuilding ty175 wheels I would say if the spoke wont come out and if you dont want to bend it to get it out then you will have to remove others .

I would say as you have mentioned, try the carb as if it starts when cold the mixture could be rich so it would start fine, stall the bike when its hot and then trying to start a hot engine with like its got the choke on. Just a thought, it could be whats been mentioned also.
-
With regards to piston rattle in my experience its sometimes due to the slow running mixture being weak, could require a bigger slow running jet, my bike sounds sweet but I could make it rattle if I wanted to by adjusting the mixture.
-
The Twin Shock Trials that I do have the no stop rule but if you can include a hop without a stop then why not.
-
Kev,the solid bush idea sounds ok, I did think about getting one made from some kind of aluminum bar when I had the problems with mine, as the original bolt and bush does feel heavy .One word of advice is to double check the length of bolt required as my existing one needed a shim washer fitted to prevent the swing arm from locking up tight when the bolt was done up. So I say go for it and save your money.
-
There is a chance you could be able to get the remains of the bolt out of the bush once removed, and then you will only require a new bolt, which is what I managed to do, lot cheaper than the
-
ZIPPY,....talk about being two faced !!!
Just me spouting my opinion and negative view point of the world we live in.
-
I hope you have found the problem, I would like to point out that all the resistance readings given in manuals are not always correct, lets hope your diagnosis is correct.
-
If its any help I find 51 and 12 on a 428 chain does the job just fine.
-
Hi, I would keep the whitehawk, if you like doing Trials and decide the modern stuff is getting too much then you can do the twin shock events. if not a real nice one should fetch about
-
Slapsot 3, I guess you must be referring to me with regards the whining and moaning. I don't just do it behind my managers back,he knows exactly how I feel, if you say nothing then your employers will just think that you are happy with what they have done and continue to force things upon you because they think you don't care (think like the French people is what I say) and you are wrong about saying nothing as its proven that a good whine and moan gets results, just ask any man who is married!!!
you can't change things to your benefit if you sit on your a*** whining about it all the time
-
Andy, thanks for your words of wisdom, yes I could just sit back and accept what ever is thrown at me, I'm sure several employers would just love us all to be working on the bread line, which is exactly what will happen if thats what the workforce of Great Britain does. Everything has and always will continue to have to be fought for, so just to accept something when times are hard is just a defeatists attitude in my opinion.
You don't seem to have that threat hanging over you so you should be thankful you're not in the position of uncertainty so many of us have been put in, through no fault of our own, and quit p***ing and moaning.
-
GrahamJayzee, Anything goes, so thats anything, but being a manager I wouldn't expect you to understand. Heres some food for thought, let us suppose a company has decided to let all their employees have a say in as to whether their direct managers deserve a pay rise, they are asked to make notes during the year of any instances where their manager has failed them,( I could write a book) at the end of the year all notes are to be handed in and the managers pay assessed on partly because of the results. Do you think the manager would then think twice about coming out with a load of crap on what you have done and stop you having a rise so he can give it to some a*** lick.
PS Zippy I wasn't looking for any sympathy.ain't you a manager also?

afroash20, there is no second pipe on the boost bottle, just think of this as an area of extra volume, it gets a charge as the Reed valves open and close, its best explained on one of the boost bottle web sites, just GOOGLE boost bottle and you will find loads of info. A DT/IT 175 boost Bootle will do the job, the important thing is a bottle that is at least the volume of the cc (175) there are other types that you could play around with like the Malosssi boost bottle which does expand and contract, the bottle I use was made by a mate but I have seen some on Ebay that will do the job,you don't have to change the reed valves but Boyesen valves can help. The mods I have carried out on my bike on an individual basis do not make gains like you would expect from a nitro kit but they do help, some at different points across the rev range so not always obvious at any one time.

-
Bilco, I like you backup plan, HAM2 yes it was me, Fivemeister yes its utter garbage, and sorry to anyone who has lost their job but my point is how long should you just accept the kind of crap like my manager is giving me, last year I did the training as he requested, I told him at my last appraisal that I didn't want to know a year latter that I was not on track for a pay rise, so at this years I was at least expecting some extra as he had not during the year pointed out any faults, it was only on the day that he incorrectly identified some issues, tosser.
-
you've got a job, whats your problem.plenty haven'tSo I should be happy with no pay rise?
-
I would like to say that if you try any performance mod to a bike that is far from perfect then fitting things like a boost bottle will make no difference, boost bottles do work, if you look at the facts which are available on the net you will see for yourself. Somethings do take time to set up and could require other mods to get the best out of what you have. Lee you would be more than welcome to try out my bike if its possible to arrange.
