    S3 225 Kit

Where are you located laser... the bike is here on Vancouver Island, BC. You can PM me if you are interested.
  2. Jay: I look forward to kicking Ishys butt as I have never been beaten with my mighty Fantic. I have installed a slimline Classictrial tank, and I am in the midst of installing some Hebo pegs that are lower and farther back. Motor is brand new after last years fiasco while riding it in the Sen. Adv line in the Pnta points event in Shawnigan. Either way, cant wait to ride there again!

Borus, if you are serious about going this route, I do know where there is a cherry 08 125 PRO Racing model (REd frame) for sale. You can PM me for the details if you want. cheers, steve
  4. Sounds awesome Ishy!!!! Cant wait as Lolo is one of my top 4 places I have ever ridden! Jay, you been practising on that twinshocker,

    4-stroke

Wow, if you can tell what Jordi Tarres is thinking just by watching a few minute video, then you are in the wrong profession me thinks . I have been told that the new 4T will be cheaper than all the rest, and possibly only $500 more than the current 2T GGs. Another good point!

    4-stroke

I am waiting anxiously too. I currently have a Sherco 4t which at the moment I beleive is the cream of the crop by far! I am also hoping that because GG has been carefully doing much development work with theirs, that it will be right from the get go! Six speed, fuel injected, and lighter than any other 2 stroke sounds pretty good for me! I have no issues with the GG reliability at all, nuff said!
  7. Hey Jay: Not trying at all to hi-jack this thread of your loverly Sherdaka which is way cool, but I figure that you would read any new post on here. I am bringing my mighty Fantic 300 down to the Points events in Lolo Pass in Sept. Ishy has challenged me to a twinshock duel. We are gonna ride the Int lines against each other, and I thought it would be cool too if you joined us!!! We could take some pics of each other and post them on here when we are done! let me know dude! Cheers, Steve
  8. Dingo!!! Me hiding..... How many months since we heard from your dark hole mate!!! I figured you had moved in with Lane or something and could not log on anymore because in case you missed it......he is banned from here. Probably lots of stuff you need to catch up on old buddy, so I will let you get on with it! Steve
  9. AL; Missed seeing you this year at the Youth Nationals. JOhn, I was just in Huntsville a couple weeks ago now, if you had known about the YOuth Nationals, it would have been perfect to bring your kids to, just to check it out and try some bikes. Steve
  10. Paul: Well it would be great if you guys could come up here in the winter and train in some really great slippery conditions! It will be great to keep in touch over the next year for sure!
  11. Hey Paul: Thanks for all the kinds words! I sure wish you all could come up here sometime and ride with US! WE have an amazing area up here right out of our backyard. I have to confess when the clouds appeared on the last day Matt and I were praying for rain! We love riding in the slippery wet conditions! I really hope that we can make it again next year! We are also lucky that we get to ride year round up here with our mild climate on the west coast so practising happens alot! It will be cool for us to see how everyone has advanced in a year! Thanks everyone for the fun and hospitality for us foreigners. We sincerely appreciate how yall embrace us and make us feel welcome! Steve
  12. Guys: Just wanted to comment on what was an awesome event!! I am sad that there werent more people in attendance as the riding was spectacular! It was the first time for me to see all the riders ride in person. Impressions..... Smage is amazing and makes everything look efffortless. Will Ibsen is a very smooth rider and I think has limitless potential in this sport. I am surprised we dont hear more about him. Cody Webb, is very strong and his will to win was never more evident than that event! I know he thought the trial was lost when he took a 1 on the GG boxes, but never gave up. Pat made one error on the next section which opened the door for Cody, even though Will was the only one still clean to the head to head races. I had a feeling, knowing Kip and how he is, that Cody was going to just let it all hang out. He did not dis-appoint, absolutely pinning the big Sherco 4T in both races to come from behind and win the whole thing! You could not have scripted a better finish! Codys smile at the end said it all! We were cheering for him anyway because he rides the Sherco 4T AND, has a good chunk of Canadian blood in him! Congrats to Cody on a great win! Steve
  13. Hi Guys: Just back tonight in Canada after a couple long travel days! Wow, what a whirlwind trip! I have to thank so many people who made our trip spectacular. First off, my great old buddy Barry Langford and his wife Renee, from Huntsville AL. Without their generosity and help along the way, this trip would have never happened for us!!! We got to stay in Barrys trailer on site, and use one of his vehicles to commute back and forth to Huntsville for the Youth camp. He also graciously let me ride his bike all week to follow Matt around. To Charlie and Catherine at the TTC and Alex, for their hospitality, friendliness, and encouragement throughout the week, thank you! It was cool to finally put some faces to names from on here.... Chris, Brian R, Spinner, Hensley, Paul Thistle, thanks too. For me personally this was a trip of a lifetime. It had been exactly 20yrs since I lived and rode trials in the state of TN. Most of you who were there did not know that there was some great reunions that took place too. Some STRA members who have not been around at all since I last lived there, showed up to say hey, and share some great memories and meet my family. For this I will never forget how great that felt! Chuck West(former Fantic importer and my sponsor), Mike West, Steve McNeal, Tom McNeal, Nelson Crouch(former STRA president and trialsmaster of a World round held in TN in 89), Parker Lowndes. Also great to see some longtime friends and co- competitors from the past. Ryan Young, Kip Webb, Ron Commo Jr, also Booby Duvall from Tx. Overall an overwhelming time of incredible highs and memories for sure! About the actual trial. It was a total learning experience for both Matt and I. We have been working together for years now, not knowing how we stacked up against kids his own age from other areas. He had never ridden a National of any type, or so far away from home in foreign territory. Overall it was a great experience. Perhaps a tad easy from what we are used to, but, intead, a lot harder mentally to keep it together for 3 days. It was a great learning experience for sure. Matt rode his heart out. Other than some terrible nerves the first day when he finished 3rd, He was so close to winning both the last two days, and showed me how much heart he has. Never giving up after having some unlucky breaks that cost him the win both days! This was serious stuff in the 11yr old and under champ class between kids who wanted it real bad! It was awesome! A special note to both Paul Thistle and his son Aaron who were great to be around. Matt really enjoyed being around Aaron and I got a big chuckle out of his great sense of humour. Some observations about riders there! All of the riders in the top class are terrific riders and any one of them could be a champ in the Nationals in the future. All nice kids, who competed hard and are great riders. The one kid who impressed me the most the whole weekend though is Chase Harker! I beleive that he is going to be at the top very soon! He is just so smooth, and rides totally different than anyone else there. What a terrific competitor and very gifted rider!!! Both Matt and I were in awe of anytime we saw him ride! What was gonna be a one time deal for us down there, has us already making plans for next year! It will be much easier the second time, knowing the lay of the land, and knowing how to plan our time better. Matt has also impressed me with how hard he wants to work now to redeem himself and his expectations from this year. I am so proud of how he rode with all things considered, and now we have the rest of the year for our PNTA regionals to look forward too. Cheers, Steve
  14. Glenn, do you need any kind of spacers in those WES springs or just pop them in! I know Bob from way back, I sure hope he is one of the folks coming out to the TTC or at least the US Indoor!
  15. Hey, the title says North American Championship.....does that mean you are open to having a round up here in Canada!!!!
  16. As stated on here before, the brakes on my 300 are way better than my old 240. I can easily lock up the front in my driveway and do a nose wheelie as good as my Sherco. What have you guys done with front fork springs.....
  17. Maybe he already has a couple but doesnt know it
  18. Peter: Would be great to see you at the PNTA on August 2/3, but I would say that you are a long ways away from Duluth where the three day National is!!!! I am back to Vancouver Island on July 10th and will be in Ioco(outside of Vancouver) for the following weekend for the next Pnta point event. Steve
  19. Copey: Thanks so much for all the tips! Everyone! It sure does make it easier when I did live there for two years and know exactly what to expect weather wise! It will be fun to see how Matt does, he sure is peaking at the right time! Sure hope to meet everyone from on HERE, down there! I guess all the Canuck beer I am bringing will be done for nothing eh Cope! I think we are all ready! Fly out early Sat Am. See everyone there!
  20. Nice post Glenn! I know you probably have answered this already, but are you going to be at the TTC for the YOuth Nationals.....It would be a pleasure to meet you! Steve
  21. Copey: I agree with you about what you said.......although I have to say that I think the GG has come along way and has done some great strides forward and even ahead of Sherco in the consistency category. I have been very impressed with everything about my sons GG125 Racing model, and was nicely suprised about the improvements in quality control. Mostly I think the general persona portrayed by people about the GG being not up to snuff in quality and reliability are unfounded. Steve
  22. It would great if we FINALLY had a national governing body in Canada that truly was in touch with each individual discipline of motorcycle sport in this country. Something we have never had! In trials, we did have a governing body that held a very successful National series for 3 full years before its demise. This was known as the CTRA- Canadian Trials Riders Assoc. and was recognized by the NATC and even invited to the annual NATC meeting. The founders of this association are still active in the sport and contain the knowledge and experience in trials in this country that cannot be equalled. I truly hope that if the MCC trys to make a go of it, they realize they need to unite the entire country to make it work and perhaps learn from and organization that has tryed it before them! Steve
  23. Spinner: Thanks for the info on your son! It is all new to me and after studying the rules etc I still dont know what Matt will ride. He just turned 12 so is eligble to ride the 11yr old class, but I just want to make sure the top line for them is not too easy, so giving him an option to move up to the 13yr old class. I dont have anything to judge it by till we get there. I only know that he is riding and almost winning Int class at home now against adults and is the youngest by far in his class. It will be fun for us for sure to see all the other kids riding as he is usually the only one! Steve
