  3. Hi there Ludde: I was a good friend of Jonny when we both lived in Tn, USA. I have tryed with you before to contact him. I have recently had mail from his sister, but still unable to get an email address for Jonny. Can you help yet! Steve
  4. Maybe you guys could mix it up a bit this time and do a TC indoor trial.......... Hey Donald, didnt you mention some free space at the hockey arenas round where you are........

  6. Its not my policy to kick someone when they are down Donald...... but you are a Leafs fan and it would seem that this season you can go no lower!
  7. with hopes of helping Slapshot3 go right over the edge............... didnt Jordi s carb p*** gas out everywhere that year too!
  8. Steve Clark who...... just wondering if I am thinking of the same one you are! Jay my old friend. Dude, this thing was hatched over way too many beers.......like most good ideas! I love your crazy ingenuity for sure! I love watching what you are up to as do most on here me thinks. If things get out of hand though bud, I dont know what kind of 12 step programs they have in Oregoon, but up here in Canada there are lots available if needed.
  9. No no Kinell. For those from my side of the pond, I have been to Scotland. That kit on the sheep is one side of the velcro......... and the other side is in the form of mits eh Big John!
  10. Glenn: Tell me more about them WES fork springs!!!!! I have a mate right now visiting his family in Wales and he is merely miles away from the WES factory!! Steve
  11. I am like you though Heath, just trying to be a trendsetter I love the 300 and would never part with it! I also love my 4T which some people have a hard time with. If you liked the 300 Beta, I would bet you would love a ride on a new 3.2 Sherco too. I can ride anything on mine that can be done on a 2t, most of the time with much more ease of traction. Yes the 2T revs higher and likes to be revved, it is a totally different riding style on the 4t. One that I feel suits me better. That being said, I still believe the price issue is way out of line between the two and if I hadnt picked mine up used, I would still be on a 2T. Cant wait to get the 300 Fantic all tricked out though and perhaps ride some US Nationals in the future in the Senior classes! Steve
  12. A tad cold out here on the West Coast too Dai, although so far we can still ride every weekend. Supposed to snow tonight though, hopefully it melts by the weekend!
  13. Just to let all you other Fantic fanatics know, I have a brand new 300 piston kit on the way as well as a new rod kit. I will then send my cylinder out to be re-done, although it is basically unscathed from the whole ordeal. If all goes well, the old girl should be up and running by the end of Feb. I can then get onto ordering some NEW trick bits from Chris at classictrial!!! I fancy one of his slimline 240 tanks and a 240 rear fender and side panels to start. then I can work on the suspension some. Obviously this is a long term relationship with this great bike, so might as well go all the way with it!! Steve
  14. great pictures, thanks so much!!! Lots of memories there. Jordi with a full heed of hair.... A shot of our Tone, on the JCM which no one mentioned. Also good shots of both John boy on a 86 301 Fantic and Michaud on the 87 303. Brilliant pictures.....any more!
  15. I have an 05 and love it!! Perhaps you should try and ask one Mr. Cabestany ......... nice ride on one in the first indoor no less!
  16. Cmon Copey..... I can guarantee a good time will be had by all!
  17. Hi there guys: Big John: I waited 10yrs to be able to finally afford to ride the SSDT for the first time in 92, a bit past my prime. I now am fully involved in riding my 300 Fantic to the best of my abilities in a serious fashion! . Before I leave this earth,( which will be a longtime I hope) I will long to ride at Alvie again with my twinshock with you blokes, and to ride in Spain in the amazing event that you all are going to ride again this year!!! steve
  18. Clark, why dont you ask Ron what he thinks about your quick sand down there at the Red River......80s memories........ Ron, how many guys does it take to pull a Mont out of the quicksand anyway!!!!! Steve Team Squid Forever
  19. Spinner: Thanks for the pics.... cant wait as my sons bike is on the boat as we speak, so just a few weeks away and we will have ours too!!! PS. where did you get the red chain from
  20. Hi Robert: I am clear accross the country here on Vancouver Island, but I was around in 82 and riding Nationals in Ont then too. The old importer was a guy name Steve Troupe who had a company called Zero-5 Trials. A real good guy! He was in Oakville at one time. I would google the ATA club in Ont as they have a online group and someone may know how to get a hold of him. I would be willing to bet that he still has some Italjet parts. Let me know how you make out. Steve
  21. Masso: dont you still have the original tranny oil in yours as I believe your supposed to change it after the first 10hrs, and we both know you havent passed that mark yet dude!!! See you soon Steve
  22. mark: I can provide you with a ride for the vintage day1, and if you surivive the Sat campfire festivities, possibly a nice Sherco 4T for day2. Let me know what time your flight arrives in Vancouver and will pick you up on route!!
  23. A question for Lee or anyone else who might know! Will a 303 piston work in a 301 cylinder and head then.....
  24. Get all the info you need at www.classictrial.co.uk
  25. Mark: Old buddy, let me extend an open invitation to you! If you can get yourself to Vancouver(closet large airport) I will pick you up and get you to the event. It is a 1.5hr ferry ride for me to Vancouver, then about a 3hr drive to the trials site from there! If you give me enough notice, I can probably arrange to have a bike for you and between Dave and myself also make sure you have a mount for day1 which is vintage only!! The concept that Dave invented some 20yrs ago for the Outlaw Trial was to be intended for the club rider. Sections are typically straight forward, traditional and ridden on a longer loop. Similar to the Ute Cup by comparison. Day1 is vintage only and Day2 is all other classes. Both days are done by group check. You let me know when you want to come up. Daves event is in May and my event is in April. Cheers, Steve
