  1. Dave: Bout the same here on the island this weekend. Not sure whether to go for a ride(maybe too hot) or put the boat in the water!!! That's Ok, at least Alberta has......................why is it Taff lives there again??? At least he won't have to put his beer in the fridge to keep cold!!! Steve
  2. Besides Andy, when's the last time you had a police escort????
  3. Cope: A true Canuck always brings some of the good stuff with him, just in case and to bribe people with!!! Sirhc, it's OK about the listening thing. It mostly only happens about trials so don't worry too much. I figure those National champ plaques on the wall have to be good for something, even if it is only getting my son to really focus on what I am saying about trials! The rest of the time, he's no different than any kid his age, the older he gets, the less I know Paul, looking forward to meeting you as well. The Beta 80 is a fantastic bike, totally happy with it. My son will be on one for at least one more year before we go the the 125, where he will stay for many years!! Steve
  4. Taff: Maybe you can let the folks in the UK know how far you drove to ride a two-day trial, compared to the travel time they are used to!!! Thanks so much for making the trip!! Steve
  5. Hi guys: Just reading all your banter about the Youth Nationals and wondering what age all the kids are that you are trash talking about. My son will be riding the 10yr old -[2line) as far as I know. Could be a bit of an unknown seeing we are from Canada and all.He is coming along nicely. Starting to listen to the old man since Ryan Young echoed my philosophy on the last "On the Pegs " podcast. Looking forward to meeting all of you for sure. Do any of you actually drink beer?? Cheers,Steve
  6. Not seen in this photo are the dual Canucks flags that no doubt were removed before crossing the border back into Alberta!!!
  7. Hi there Pierce: Welcome to the board! Please say hi to your Dad for me OK!! Cheers, Steve
  8. Kevin Shwantz- world road race champ. Just rode a trial in the states a few weeks ago. Someone should be able to provide a link!......Ish, from the PST website. Steve
  9. I honestly think that Doug has had some incredibly bad luck over the last few seasons, what with injuries an all. After watching the video of him ride at round 1, I think that he has the ability to still win the championship. Escpecially if he gets on a bit of a roll early! Steve
  10. Copey: We will be making our first trip ever down to the TTC in July for the Youth nationals!! Hope you can make it down then too and get really crazy!!! Steve
  11. Hey, turner5spot, where are you from??? What world round in Canada did you ride?? what year?? Steve
  12. Frank: yes the flywheel side can be changed without splitting the cases
  13. Frank, yes! I just pop the Head off and it comes out not too bad then! Steve
  14. Taff: I have to tell you that I know Jay Lael fairly well! Although you were never a Pro rodeo rider like Jay, You have had more operations already on those knees!!! When you meet Jay, perhaps at the Alberta Outlaw event, you will be able to see into the future of your physical aches and pains mate Now, just have a look at me and see what clean living will do for you................picture of health here at my old age. I still feel like I'm 20, but every morning some old bugger is staring me down in the mirror!!! Me son keeps me young right now! Latest was a 100yrd dash sprint off tonight........old man can still win, but not much longer! steve
  15. I do Clive! Geez, you had better get your Dad to translate for you, unless he has forgot the native tongue too!!! Ish................. Steve
  16. Quit your whining Ish!!!!!! new bikes, motorhome, acreage, life of reilly..................try working in Canada and paying taxes!!! STeve
  17. Sirhc: Just want to say that I look forward to meeting you some day, perhaps at the Western Youth Nationals. I am an old friend of Scott Heads'. I am excited that he has his son riding too! If you see him next trial, please say hello from me, he is a great guy and perhaps the most under-rated of all the US Champs! Cheers, Steve
  18. Cope: Ish will know for sure, but I seem to think back from when I rode the SSDT, that basically anyone from North America that sends an entry in will get to ride.As far as the bike thing goes, there are several different ways to go about it. I took my bike apart into little pieces as luggage for no charge, but in a post 9-11 world that is not possible. I know in the past Ishy has bought a bike from the factory and had it shipped to Scotland, rode it for the week, and then had it shipped back to the states. I'm not 100% sure what his Montesa deal is, but I would guess it is some sort of rental deal. When are you going?? Steve
  19. Ish: Thanks I did get it, however it is a 200 arm I might be able to modify it though. Steve
  20. Thanks Glenn. I do have one on the way that I think will work. I will wait and see when it gets here and then go from there!!! If I do get the right one, I will have some replicated Steve
  21. Thanks, but r2w is one of my best sources for any parts/Fantic and he is usually one of the first people I contact!!! No luck either!
  22. Ding Dong: Just so you know, if you need another former National Champ to bash every once in a while, I'm here for you brutha! steve
  23. Gaz: You had me in stitches reading your latest posts on here. You obvioulsly have way too much time on your hands.............and are a wanna be Canadian.........no wonder you want to move here so bad . Bloody ell, we are all showing our age eh? Weird Science.......and I thought I was the only one who knew every word from that movie for so many years!! Mate, if you busy checking out the adams apples on the ladies, makes me wonder what kind of circles you've been hanging with........... Oh and by the way.........Reba lives in Nashville, not sure where she is from. Word is she is a big hockey fan, and has had the entire Predator team at her place more than once..........one for you Donald!!! Steve
