Fantastic result Patrick! great job to you and Ryan! I am sure looking at the scores, that All the riders would have liked it a bit tougher! Keep up the good work tommorrow!

Part 7 is due to air this Sunday here! Last week, part 6 was the first full episode I enjoyed. Its getting better!
-
I think its kinda nice to have the variety. Its like when everyone rides the same kinda bike. Boring! It would be nice to keep having a choice, and for the 4Ts to keep advancing. I have ridden both, mostly 2Ts over the years, but nothing makes me smile like riding the 4t. Just my opinion, and I know I am in the minority. They both do things better or worse than the other for sure.

Damn, you beat me to it! I got them all too, but you forgot Chucks daughters name.....Jackie! Did you guys know that Chuck and Mike were at the 2008 Youth Nationals at TTC. It was the first time they had been to a trial since Chuck sold the Fantic business! It was so great to see them again. Steve McNeal was there also!! More quizes please!

Ben:
take both of the leads off of the thermostat switch that is on the head. Connect the two of them together, the fan should come on. If it does, you need a new thermostat sending unit. Cheap and easy to fix!

Martin, I believe that might be Mr. English....

I was thinking the same thing while watching that too!

Can anyone tell me what jetting they are running on a Kehein carb at sea level for a 09 2.9
Thanks in advance!

billy:
Pm is on its way to you. I did already mention Tim Pilg who I believe is the part of the new importer. He was a trials rider back in the 80s when Bob Miller was around.
-
I am finding, after 4 parts now, they seem to be spending way too much time NOT on the battelfield. Just my impression. I echo that BOB seemed better!

I agree with Spinner that Dabsters comments are a bit strong! I do not pretend to really know Pat, only met him once! I know Noel, and got to talk a good bit with him in 08. I know a lot has happened since then, but I can see the progression in his riding for sure. If he has comitted to riding in Europe this year, it only proves to me he has more than enough drive to win! Otherwise why would he go! Sorry Dabster, but anyone from North America does not come all the way over there just to be an also ran! I do not think you can question his talent, commitment, drive and professionalism. A great combination for someone to succeed!
-
This states my theory exactly. If Pat could ride full time with the worlds best, and have been doing so for the last few years, it would make a world of difference. I think he has the talent and drive. It would also eliminate the point that being in Europe was very different and tough for him to adapt to. If you want to be a world champ, go to where they are riding, and living.
-
From what I have seen, I truly believe that if Pat moved to Europe full time, he has the skills to compete to be world champ right now!

Ringo:
Great to hear from you again after so long. I have been busy, with work and watching my kids grow up! You should check out Matts website and see for your self!
www.mattfracy.com (PS my apologies guys, did not intend to hi-jack this thread)

Welcome home Ringo! Have you been in jail again or forced to work in a foreign country for a while.....
-
Masso:
Why dont you just bite the bullet and update the entire bike and get all new plastics included in the price... a nice white and red combo is what you are looking for. Beta! You know you want one!!!

First question is, have you test ridden all of them..... see what one YOU find the most comfortable.

I agree totally Dan! Ryan is a class act, always has been. Good luck Cody!!! and Keith!

Is it also true that fairly recently the Australian national governing body changed hands to another organization.....

The ONLY comment I will make is, that I am sure that most people on this website neither care, or understand what is going on in Canadian trials. If you are not happy with what is going on, work and try and make a change. This is what some of us are trying to do. I am so looking forward to 2010 and wonder where everyone will sit once the smoke has cleared. I guess we will see who is really interested in working together. Not holding onto the past like Krash, slandering people until he will eventually get banned like on other sites. In the end, the true facts will win out. Its easy to critisize people who are trying to make a difference. In my observations of other sports, it is common place to seek out wisdom from participants from the past to help keep the history of what has happened alive, while at the same time let the current participants shape the vision of the future. Do not throw stones from glass houses.

In the US, you can contact Mike Komer at the Tryals shop who still has lots of Fantic parts even for the 240s. There must be someone in California who has most of what Bob Miller used to have.......not sure. Maybe someone can steer you in the right direction. Also, in Canada, Neil Carter is the man who still has lots of goodies too. He is the Eastern Canada Sherco importer, and his business is called Carter Cycles. He used to be the importer for Fantic in Canada.
Failing that, there are plenty of contacts in the UK listed on this site who can help you..... I am sure any of the UK guys would be more than glad to help out if you cant find it in North America. parts are fairly plentiful for these bikes!

Jon, of course you are referring to the MAG wheels those bikes ran. I think they were awesome and I am suprised that no one has tryed to bring them back today. Surely they would still not be deemed dangerous, or the design could be tweeked slightly! That video brings back the memories! I was sponsored by TMI the Fantic importer then. I did not ride the world round, and as I remember, I was aksed to give up my bike for one of the World riders as the factory did not send enough bikes. So, a young Italian named Ezio Regen rode my Fantic 303. I was nominated to act as a minder for Bernie. This was before minders were the norm and I had to do it all on foot! Backpack full of tools and hoofing it around the loop! I must have been pretty fit back then eh! I think Ryan Young scored world points that day too, it was his backyard in Pennsylvania. I think Bosis won the event, does anyone remember.....
