Fergie:
I am up in Shawnigan and probably one of the few to ever actually ride one of those things at all back in the day. I believe they were fairly bulletproof but heavy compared to anything else back then! If you can get it for a good price and it starts OK it should be a good find!! YOu can PM me anytime if you want any more info!
cheers, Steve

Thanks for the info Ben. Anyone tried the factory titanium silencer as well and see how it works?
-
Approx. how much was the Bosi exhaust for your Dads 4T?
-
Now that would be AWESOME!

Back in 87 a few of us on the Fantic team spent an entire week with Bernie after the CA Nationals that year. A lot of the pictures in the book were taken at a cool practise area where Bernie used to go a lot! We got to spend a day practising with him at that very location and it was cool to try some of the sections where pics for the book were taken!

Thanks for that update! I know that as soon as I started reading your report and thinking back about old times.....I started to think about Allen, even before you mentioned him!!! It is very sad for sure!! It is on my list of rides I want to do again with my son! It is also on my most memorable moments having a clean day on day 2 in 94 in my second attempt at that trial. I believe Mark Manniko and myself tied on day 2 both with clean days!

Perhaps only free Andy if the event is BYOS (bring your own sheep!)

Both the 2T and 4T bikes work well! Pick what you like the best. The biggest problem that everyone keeps forgetting is that the 4Ts cost way more than the 2Ts. Biggest reason that they have dropped off in sales.

Copey using 4th gear = from the loop after the last section to the cooler!

The 2010 WEC Canadian Trials Championships are now over and the new National Champion of Canada is Will Duggan from Cobble Hill BC. This is the 2nd year in a row now that the WEC have held the first truly National Championship for trials in many years! Well done to the organizing club, the ATAQ in Quebec for hosting the final two rounds and doing a great job!! Next years series promises to be bigger and better than ever with some exciting changes coming!!!
-
Congratulations to Cody on a fantastic season and winning his first outdoor National Championship! I can only imagine how proud Kip, Fran, and the entire Webb clan must be, seeing Cody achieve his goal this season! Well done! A big congrats from all of us up here on Vancouver Island who have known you for so long!
cheers, steve

Isnt that one of them TZ 750 flat trackers!!!! I believe them was banned and deamed unrideable!
-
well said Ish! The only thing I might add is that they are both really great young men! Both come from good families that have supported trials for many years! Good luck to both of them!

Jon:
Jonathon English is from Ontario and big scary rocks are just about extinct there. Fortunately he will be back on the westcoast where we have tonnes of them, and they are even covered in moss!
-
Jon:
from what I understand too, Ronnie rode the entire weekend with a fractured foot!!!! Impressive, and encouraging for him too. Just think how well he can do when he is healthy and used to his new bike!!!!

Awful news. I am very sad that we have lost such a very good guy! I new Allen from my days with Fantic in TN, and saw him many times at both Central Regional events, Nationals and he was always at the Ute cup. My deepest condolences to his family.

Just in case you did not see the scores of the top pros, Cody on 16!!!!!!, Pat on 35, Keith Wineland on 70, and Ron III on 146! Are you kidding me. What a performance by Cody! Congrats! What a jump in scores from 1st to 4th...........That is insane!
-
Can someone hopefully explain why..... other than the obvious $$$$$$$$$$$
-
Noel:
Just make sure that you keep Pat focused on the goal right to the end of the season......Then Andy will get his wish, as I suggest Pat give him his wish not until then.... with a big smile atop the podium at the end of the year!
-
I agree with you Ish! he has the talent and drive, give him the chance to suceed!
-
To all you neigh sayers, do you BELIEVE yet...... great job Patrick and Ryan!

I always wonder why some people have a hate on for folks who have poured their heart and soul into this sport for some 25-30yrs, tryed to make a living from it as well! Along the way they have supported many riders . I am sure if they had chosen to make a living at something else, after that length of time, been fairly well off, or at least have a fair bit to show for it. Not trials! Just shuffled aside, no recognition for their contributions, or at least a thank you for doing there best! We as riders can be a bit fickled sometimes hey..... The Commos have given a big chunk of their lives for this sport, and for Beta in North America. I for one am sad, and feel for them. But I also know that they love this sport, and because of that will always continue to be a part of it in someway!! thanks guys for all your help and your friendship!
