  1. 12inch C-clamp and a block of wood.
  2. I would use thick rubber of a truck mud flap if nothing else.
  3. I like to have my bike geared where 1st works on hills about 10 to 12 ft tall, that way I can ride 1st most of the time and if its taller than 10 to 12 ft I just pick a higher gear.
  4. When I was young I had a little ct-70 but wanted(real bad) a Suzuki 250 trials that set down at the local bike shop. But years latter after blowing out my knee in MX I had quit riding, at about the age of 24 a friend got a OSSA MAS and I bought it for $70, I've been riding since. Now about the OSSA I sold it to a friend that has restored it back to original shape, its so sweet he won't ride it.
  5. I would try to find someone local to make a spring for your bike.
  6. When you move from other forms of riding to trials you almost need to throw a lot of what you know out the window. Throttle control is good but clutch control is better. Watch what your better riders do they set the engine speed with the throttle then they control the back tire with the clutch. Find that sweat spot in a turn where a little throttle and a little clutch makes the bike run smoooth, find that and you can turn a lot better.
  7. Moving from a bike to a cycle you loose the leverage of the crank plus its not offset, the cycle is heaver it is all different but with practice you will learn very quickly!
  8. A couple beers help me and my brother get over the 4ft step that we couldn't do without it, wouldn't recommend it though.

    Any Ideas

I would check your timing and bet that its retarded right now, it needs to be set back to stock or advanced. I would check your jetting also. Good luck.
  10. Buy an oil can or clean one real good, and push the fluid thru the bleeder in to the system. I would guess the master cylinder has a leak or air bubble.
  11. Sounds like a clogged jet, I would replace the fuel line. I would also check and make sure the fuel line was not to close to the muffler, that was a problem with those bikes. Sweet bike!

    Spark Plugs

I would check your float level if the fuel is not shutting off she will flood.
  13. I have seen yz 80 with chopped front end, geared down and maybe some flywheel weight added go over 3 foot rocks with a 3 ft rider on it. I say go for it, and like you said don't spend alot of cash. I think I would just use the xr , make a bash plate, chop the frame so it turns. Just a thought, as long he didn't tear up the motor to bad.

    09 Gasser

I know this tells my age but I had Fantic 305 with a white frame. Think about riding a white framed bike in Oklahoma red dirt, chrome all the way, white is easy to patch up but hard to keep clean.
  15. Turn the idle screw in a bit so the engine idles a little high then screw in the air screw all the way then back out half a turn. Now crank the throttle a bit and listen to the motor does it idle down quick if not back out another half turn or a quarter. Then crank it again and keep messing with it in such manner till it idles down quickly. What you want is the idle to go smooth up then smooth down with out alot of popping, almost for got make sure its warm before you adjust it, or just do it again once its warm.
  16. Nobody has shown interest in them, I wouldn't mass produce them.
  17. Just another point, I would think that the 125 would hurt my back to ride. Ok, you learn tech from riding a smaller cc bike but at that level I would be standing up and walking with the little thing. Just another stupid thought.
  18. I would get him a 125 or detune a 200, the bike is going to be about the same its just the 125 don't have alot of low end. If he's going to compete a 125 if he's going to play ride with you the 200. Just my opinion.
  19. It's comp for me, in fact I don't practice much, only if I have something to dial in or something to practice. I've rode for 20years and I don't get better I just get worse or smarter. I kids call it fear we old men call it wisdom.lol
  20. Before you hook it up to anything put a meter on it to check to see if there is any voltage on this wire, if so cap it and leave it alone. If you had a live wire shorting out that could burn up alot of things.
  21. My 04 raga had problems and I installed a bigger spring and that fixed it. I contacted Ohlins and they were helpful.
  22. Preload the shock , the shock is what picks up the bike.
  23. 180 flip turn or 180 rear wheel kick? On the rear wheel kick you have to get it up on the nose real far in order to pivot. On the flip turn its more air, the bike is real lite in the air.
  24. Way to go Fugi, sorry I missed that now if Lampkin could win today that would make a nice event. Great job Pat you make U.S. proud!!!
  25. If you run 50 to 1 you will smoke everybody out thats parked behind you. I would run 70 to 1 in any trials bike old or new, but I don't like breathing smoke from other peoples bikes.
