  1. Just wondered what people have found is the best combination of chain and sprockets for a TLR 200 that will solely be used in competition. I'm thinking of 9 tooth gearbox but what size rear wheel and what chain ? 428 or 520 ?
  2. Looks great well done remember to post piccys of the exhaust once done
  3. Good luck i can never seem to get anything out of him in fact i've given up on him as a supplier. Shame as i wanted to place a couple of decent orders but got fed up of banging my head on a brick wall
  4. I've had TY250 twinshock yokes bored out to 35mm no problem but cant comment on ty175 yokes. Think boring to 36mm for fitting TY mono forks leaves the clamps a bit too thin for my liking.
  5. Oh i dont know i've got a couple and a crap pension
  6. sorry i missunderstood. Yes you are right 2K would buy you a nice TLR200
  7. however i'm astounded you have sorted TLR200's in your area for a grand? Round here you'd have to pay that for a rough one that needs tyres, shocks, bearings, shoes, cables, bars, levers, crips, chains, sprockets, tank, seat, mudguards etc etc etc Never understand why Honda 200 and 250 for that matter fetch the money they do. Crazy. If you want to see overpriced how about this one on the old evil bay. 310321764946
  8. As for the original question then i ticked yes because i agree that a club that puts on trials for my enjoyment need to be supported because if not then like many a corner shop or local pub we wake up one morning and that corner shop, pub or trials club is no more. Simple if you dont support your local club and that includes riding in their events too then dont be surprised if it's not there anymore. I am speaking from personal experience here. As for the ACU licence it astounds me the amount of riders who either are too tight, lazy or gormless that they cant be bothered to fork out
  9. Sunday Fathers Day dawned and we eagerly awaited the flood of riders who normally come to enjoy the delights of Stathams Farm and it
  10. Just to remind and reassure that the trial is deffinately on this Sunday 19th at Stathams Farm opposite Matlock Golf Course. Start time 11.00. Entries close 15 mins before the start. Expert, Intermediate and Clubman routes. Classes for British Bike, Twinshock and Pre 95 air cooled monos on all three routes. It's not apparently been included in regs available in T&MX News but it's deffinately still on as per our website www.peakclassic.co.uk We also desperately need observers so if you fancy a go or know somebody who does them please come along and be part of the fun. See you there.
  11. condolences to the family but as a clerk of the course i would like to know what happened as if you have ever had to lay out a trial it is always a good thing to know of any contributing factors which may have to be taken into account. That is only being a responsible Clerk of the course takinging into account the massive difference in ability of all the competitors. I am sure that whatever happened was an accident but we all need to be aware of possible dangers which may affect our members when riding.
  12. True plus seems a real waste of a great trials bike. the other thing is they are sooooooooooooooo overpriced. If you are determined to buy a trials bike then something cheaper just as capable would make more sense ?
  13. Thanks again Nick we do already have a Gas Gas. As soon as i know the print date for the article then i will let you know.
  14. Yeah mate 10th is the only day Mick and Nigel can do. Thanks for the interest though. We still could do with a really nice Fantic though.
  15. There was an absolutely drop dead georgeous one on e bay recently that had a Tiger cub engine fitted. The RTX frame i mean.
  16. Trouble is with this topic because the facts have not been aired then it is all conjecture. It's a shame that the reasons for decisions taken on the day have not been made public then i think people would be able to have an informed opinion not one based on "chinese whispers". Saying that it is up to the organisers wether they want to "go public" or not and i have to respect that. Just know it's not a simple as some might think it is. Either way it's history now so onward and upward
  17. Just trying to be amusing. Well it made me smile. I was refering to the Scottish two day pre65 but obviously like the yanks they dont do irony north of the wall.
  18. Just watched the vid. Guy on a Fantic. Dont see why that would be anything but a clean. Well i would have given him a clean if i was observing. Also you say "the rider who finished 2nd on the pre 65 rode a modern bike" If he rode a modern bike how could that allow a score in the pre 65 class? Sorry you've lost me.
  19. Perhaps you could name names? Must admit i was surprised when we left Dudwood after clearing up after the Peak Classic event that was held there also that day that there were still riders i passed on the road. Thought they would all have finished ages before that.
  20. A disappointing entry of only 43 riders contested round 4 of the Peak Classic Trials Clubs Club Championship at Dudwood Farm Elton Derbyshire on a very windy day interrupted by heavy rain showers which luckily didn
  21. I have been getting a lot of phone calls about our club trial this Sunday which is round 4 of our club championship. There seems to be a rumor going the rounds that our trial is not going ahead because it clashes with the Mansfield Maun Derbyshire Dales National Trial a round of the Normandale series. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH !!! Our trial is most definately on and after speaking to Barry Burton who after all is the land owner as Dudwood Farm is also his home it appears we are also getting access to some new land which we have never used before. So please ignore any rumors you may hear, i would love to know where they started and why, and come along, assuming you are not already riding in the Derbyshire Dales National, for a great day out. We will be using the stream and the new land which should make for a cracking trial at this ever popular venue. Chance to score some valuable Club Championship points while some of the "stars" are away doing other things. As usual the PB Trialsport van will be in attendance for all your parts and accessories so what more could you ask? If you would like to observe or know of somebody who would like to help out please bring then along the more the merrier. See you there
