  2. may sound silly but why use choke when on the road????
  3. is there any restrictions on these venues??? i.e. are we allowed to be there? how much? club membership etc. also a little more detail on location please
  4. from what i heard down the grape vine its not bike sales but stock thats the problem. none of the factories seem able to supply at the mo. this seems to be the case with clothing aswell. Gas Gas have thousands in the factory at the mo awaiting front ends!!! there were obviously more foucused on advertising the new model way back in aug 07 then making them.
  5. Hi folks. Starting to look in to this whole road trial things and just wondered what you guys do about insurance?!?!?! Do any of you use the ACU insurance and have any details of it? Is is annual or pay per comp??? Im 21 and have had my license for 5years but no NCB. Any general advice would be great because i belive i have 2 insure with the frame number before DVLA will register it. THANKS IN ADVANCE, THATCHMAN
  6. Just take future care of the gear box and gear changes. Nice and gently with the clutch fully engaged. I no it sounds stupid but it could be half a milli seconds difference in the gear change meaning it slipping in to gear or being forced in
  7. Yeah i put 20mm risers on my gasser and now i cant live with out them. especially when im 6ft 3. Mine are REP rissers which i think is something to do with Wayne Braybrook. There on the Gasgas uk website as there meant to go with the REP top yoke but will fit on standard Renthal clamps but not the raga ones. But the renthals are stronger as i have broke Raga clamps before. think the REP bits cost 14.99 or there about
  8. Have just found it cheers!!!! How silly of me to doubt that the wonderful kirsty wouldnt have it all organised!!!! See you all there

    250 Or 280

Just ordered my new gasser, have had 3 250 pros so far and loved em. Was thinking long and hard about moving to a 280. Decided to go for another 250. Tried both and noticed little difference of the bottom. If anything the 250 is that lil bit softer. just enough to be controlable. My personal advice........250 then when your good enough and feel like ya need more power, get out there and try a 280 off someone and see how it feels. hope it helps
  11. Mint cheers chaps, Nylon coated so shouldnt scratch two much on the rocks!!!!!
  12. Wow Looking good. Where did ya get them from???? would look mint on my new black frame on my 08 pro?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
  13. His Lad Adam is having a 300 and dave now a 4stroker!!!
  14. o and the 300 wanted to pull me like a tractor, far 2 much!!!!!!
  15. Have tried both the new 250 and 280 and at normal club trial level then 1st gear is long enough to cope with most stuff on both bikes. But i am a good inter rider who wants to start road trials and more traditional trials so want a bit more top end on climbs etc cuz im a big lad. thanks for the advice but have thought bout it and decided a 280, thanks
  16. Hi Just about to order my new 08 gasser, jumping up from 250 to 280 this year and have seen on the gg site they do heavy flywheels and also head spacer kits for them. Has anybody used them???? would the head spacers smooth out the power a bit???? is that a cheaper option then the flywheel weight??? any tips/advice would be mint, cheers
  17. As Far as i understand the change in the mapping only kicks out when the bike hits hi revs, something stupid like 8thou. I was advised by kev hipwell to jus wire it on and take the switch off. can say that iv been riding with the switch wired on and there is no shapness in the power at low or half revs, hope this helps
  18. by the way dabster, thinking of poping down for the buzzard trial on the 28th. think i could get day membership????etc.
  19. done that but registering a bike is hassle and expensive for an apprentice
  20. Hi All. Getting a lil edgy riding normal club trials and have spent the last year trying to spread my wings. Rode a couple of single lap events off road that were amazing. Want to try and do as many as possible in the 2008 season. Can you lot out there help compile a list of all OFF-ROAD Novagars, nationals and center trials. Any rough dates would be useful also, Cheers guys.
  21. Vee Rubbers and Mitas are both made by companies that only make road tyres so they use different measurments. I found that with a mitas you had to run it at a couple of PSI higher then mich's or IRC's. They were ok as a clubman but now im an INTER i use mostly Mich's and use IRC's when its wet mud. hope this helps
  22. Low Throttle Response is what i felt when trying one out. Also seems to be a regular thing. Also try playing with the air/fuel mixture screw. think it has a different setup to normal shercos cuz its a fancy la-di-da Carb.
  23. yep its a regular cabby problem. dont own 1 but have seen and heard enough of them that have had problems. had a play on one in a car park and couldn't get one with it. RUMOR (only rumor) is that Gary Macdonald is on his second already and thats had new ignition etc
  24. Yu Ben. Im from Leicester so am fairly local to you. Basically you need to haul ass down to you local paper shop or tescos and get em 2 track down a copy of T&MX News, (the weekly geek mag). Thats got a list of upcoming events within the next month or so. Use that to find local comps. Theres loads around Matlock way, Couple in Notts, One here in Leicester, (this weekend) and a couple out Lincolnshire. these are all within the East Midlands Centre, ill come back 2 that. Then you need your ACU Liecence from those nice people in Rugby. Search on web for there details they can post ya a form. Then pick a comp to visit and come along talk 2 people and ask questions. A few personal notes, the comps id recomend for you to satrt at is the Loughborough Club on the 23rd, Also any Pegasus event(Grantham) Peterborough or Earl Shilton (Leicester). these would be good to help ya find your feet. Obviously depending on how far you want to travel. Also try BSSA near your never rode there but meant to be very good. There ya go, mostly jibberish but some ideas for you, any questions???? LOL
  25. If you look for the guy in with the most unloved gasgas and cant find him he will be upside down in a section trying to work out why there are no purple markers!!!!! Wareing
