  1. It was a heart-stopping crash on Section 2 from Dougie (got it on video) and don't know how he didn't hurt himself. Not only can they ride good, but when they fall they don't seem to hurt themselves Dougies second lap was really steady and if it wasn't for the 5 on a reletavily easy section by their standards, he would have been right up there with Bou........ He is still good to watch and in some parts of the sections he is still super smooth over everyone else.
  2. Just to say well done Michael championship was always in the bag, but rode today like a true Champ and went out on top. Seems we have dominated the Junior WTC for the last few years and the future looks good with the likes of Sam Haslam and Wiggy to step up onto the top step of the podium on a regular basis. Hawkstone was a great event and well done to all the organisers, just one thing................ Did Jake get the PA system off ''Flea-Bay'' and no disrespect, but the commentator wasn't exactly motivating with commentry and interviews but apart from that top job and once again WELL DONE MIGHTY ATOM
  3. Don't know where you are in East Yorks, but Scarborough & District Motor Club have one of the best training grounds in the country. They have a very active youth scene, so pop along to one of their trials and have a look.
  4. Tell em you should see the state of the other Boxer Get well soon

    Flood Aid?

Its not about Countries, colour of skin or whether these people have insurance or not......... 350,000 homes are without fresh water or electricity (Insurance companies provide cover; but not water or electricity ). The tankers that went into Tewksbury (2 days too late in my opinion) were empty within minutes, many farm animals will have been lost in these floods, but are not really highlighted through media coverage. Basic aid is what is required at the moment and these people arn't getting it, very similar to the aid we send to other countries in the immediate aftermath of a natural disater.. and someone try and tell me this is right!!!!

    Flood Aid?

You are absolutely right sod the people that are suffering through a natural disaster through no fault of there own; and lets keep sending our aid abroad. It's about choice Andrew! I and many others would prefer to help our own?? and starving children in africa is not a natural disaster! I have been involved in sending aid to starving children in Etheopia dropping corn and equipment to find and purify water. Idea was to plant the corn to produce more..................they ate the corn and the equipment is probably still stood in the corner now. Education is what they need along with this aid!
  8. Starving Children in Africa? Earthquake in Pakistan? Immediate help.......................Pay your money into an account in any Bank/Building Society to help these countries? Fly Planes full of food and clothing? We have got big hearts us Brits???? Now I'm a Yorkshireman so where can I send a couple of Quid to help the poor sods that have lost everything in the floods? Don't think I can, but here we are one of the richest nations in the world and we can't help our own...............spoke to somone today and he hasn't had fresh water since Saturday..............never mind our new Prime Minister visited the worst hit areas today so everything will be ok Dosn't it make your blood boil? Rant over, now I feel a bit better................
  9. So the books was launched today to save you buying it I will cut it short Well ...After standing in the rain since early morning outside a Coventry leading bookstore 'pulp fiction', I picked up my copy of the latest Jakie Rowling, and started reading........................ Anyhoo, in a castle outside Glasgow a bloke called Hagrid ''Moffat'' caught Harry-ishy Potter abusing himself in the left-hand toilet cubicle with one of the recently confiscated wands . He gives him a choice. "Well, me young wizard, You either agree to get back on the quiddich team for our match against the Broomstick Rovers, or I let it be known to the millions of young nubile girlies in your fan club that you actually had a copy of The YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE, and you had it open at a dusty photo of ''Lia Sanz". Just at that, in stormed young Hermione ''Jenkins''. "Im pregnant" she shouted. " and since I have been sh***ed by every one in the school, Im don't know who's it is. But I suspect its yours Dumbledoor because you were the one who said you were wearing an invisible condom. I was a fool to fall for that one". A knock on the door interupted her tantrum. "Enter", bellowed Hagrid. Through the door walked Ron-Kinnel, the nice ginger haired kid, who had been a wee bit quiet for the past few weeks. " Well .. what do you want and how the hell did you find your way here!!!, cant you see we are busy". shouted Dumbledoor. Ron spoke quietly. "Recently, I have become dissillusioned with wizards and wizardry and after reading several books on the subject, I have converted to Islam. I have wrapped my entire body in a sticky layer of chipatti flour and peroxide and I am about to blow myself up and kill the lot of you". " Not if I can do anything about it" Harry said, reaching for the wand lying on the table. He pointed it at Rons head and muttered a spell which was meant to render the young lad unconcious. Unfortunately the end of the wand was snapped and the sparks which were destined for Rons head were diverted onto the explosive dough. For a second everything was deathly silent. Ron smiled at Harry. "you promised me loads of virgins Harry if I converted to Islam and took my life" he said with a smile, Harry replied ''Yes Ron, but there arn't any virgins in Glasgow'' ............................they were all blown to bits. .............................. THE END............................................... ........... So taht has saved you buying the book
  10. Is that hemet ACU/FIM approved????
  11. SSDT a few years ago ''Johny Foreigner'' on a Mont 315 fell off on Saturday with only a few sections to go lifted the bike out of the water and the cap and wheel had popped off his throttle Paniced and searched for a few minutes then offered him my spare wheel and cap..................and he finished the event!!! You can ride with most things wrong or missing from your bike, flat tyres, no brakes, no clutch..........but its a hell of a job riding your bike operating the throttle cable with your teeth
  12. ishy most of the time you talk sense, but you are way off the mark and I hope it was a ''Tongue in Cheek'' comment:huh: This is not free riding America .....we are in it is good old blighty, and it has been well publisised over the past year and a half about illigal riding and loss of land. This guy has been caught and is asking for advice.................your valuable advice will be much appreciated Mine is tough s**t
  13. Yes I have got some good advice, don't do it again. I will be blunt I hope you get all that you deserve!!! Plenty of notices on MOD land about ''Keeping out'' but no some people think they are above that and think it is alright to ride there off-road bike anywhere they like....................and then they wonder why we all get a bad name and bring off-road sport into dis-repute. Land to run organised sport is becoming very difficult and people like you are making it even more difficult to arrange the use of some land, so unfortunately you don't get a sympathy vote from me. Go to court, take the punishment and let the press broadcast it...............it may deter others to follow in your footsteps. By the way the reason you cannot go on MOD land is for several reasons, the land is used most days in our present cicumstances by Military personel training for operational conflict throughout the world, know doubt you would like to take them to court if you happen to 'T' bone a Challenger Tank......................................... I await your excuse of a reply
  14. Good report and good photo's Good day, think we will put that big step in for the next trial.............................NOT
  15. Thanks I will give it a go
  16. Ok ................all you computer geeks out there can somone give me some help? When I boot up the computer from start up it takes ages to load, probably a good 4-5 minutes now this may not seem long, but it can sometimes be a pain. Now is there loads of programmes that load on start up that are not required and can be removed? Is there an easy way of identifying them and removing them safely without crashing the computer? Is there a bit aof free software to do this safely? Help appretiated Ta very much
  17. Rossi was 11th on the grid, didn't make a brilliant start....................but then worked his way through the field for the win. Not really into Road Racing, but that was pretty impressive, well done VR

    Ssdt Videos

Is that just in case anyone dosn't know that John and you are afraid they may ask you to buy the next round
  19. Think (and somone will correct me if I am wrong) you have to be a site supporter before you can post a picture. Can't understand anyone who dosn't cough up a tenner for TC, you might think it is really good value getting it for nowt, but thats what Andy does???? all the time and effort keeping and updating the website he does for nowt, and occassionally he goes to work during the Day Not a dig at you personally ''twinshockdude'' so don't take it that way, pay the tenner and I feel you can post as many pictures as you like, plus other benefits of Supporter Pictures and Videos from WTC events
  20. Think Martin Croswaite is the Importer or he used to be?? PM him he is CROSSER on TC
  21. Bit of rain...Wimps Think most trials are suffering in SUNNY June. We have had the longest day so we are heading back towards winter now
  22. Not many do the British Championship and why? That is the reason the rules maybe need looking at to open it up to more competitors. I am not here to get into a slanging match, but it is good that people have different views, I know and it is fact that people do not read their handbook, now your going to say that they should, but hey ho we live in the real world and that never happens. If a rider asks you at your club trial what rules they are riding(and that never happens either) and you tell them it is TSR?? that will mean nothing to them, they are not going to dash back to their van for a bit of light reading of the ACU handbook before they unlease their trusty steed on the course I think the census of opinion would want the rules to go back to its roots as people have already suggested that here, it may be hard some people might say to lay the trial out No Stop with modern machinery and the terrain available. ''Read the rule book'' or ''if you don't want to ride under our rules don't turn up'' is a pretty negative attitude as this will never happen, I do think before long somone will take the bold step to simplify the rules, this in turn may open entries up at all levels from Club to WTC. To the organisers at present this is not a dig at you so chill out, as you are following the said ''Rule Book'' of a TSR of your choice. Just about to set off for a trial now, as I got my handbook on a disc better load my laptop computer aswell
  23. bilco thanks for answering for me I think you 'hit the nail on the head'...I was the first to admit I had a go at posting a Poll and yes it don't work so bring it on 'bdmc' try and do the Poll for us........... idmcc_sec most of us are intellectual enough to pick up the book and read, which brings me back to the point of how many riders actually know what rules they are riding under on the particular day they sign on whether they have read the rule book or not I presume both bdmc and idmcc_sec have a lot to do with organising events, Yes we want to ride and if you care to read the questions (Bit like the rule book ) I personally think it may be better for the sport to run under one rule. I have been riding and competing nearly every weekend for over 30 years now and yes this question keeps cropping up, but nowt is done about it, so I guess we shall continue to talk about it as we live in a democratic society!!! Ah thats better
  24. So it dosn't work...........well if you don't have a go you never no..................bit like having a crack at a section Now if somone is clever enough to do a poll on this we might get some fedback! The reason I was asking is that I ride trials at several levels (some not so good as others ) and with all the different rules out there you don't know what your riding half the time, yes you could ask the organisers but they say ''we are riding under TSR ???'' well most don't know what this is. So your good ride can turn into a bad result because you have stopped, gone backwards etc. etc. So the questions I was asking was firstly what rules do you prefer to ride, and secondly which do you think will benefit the sport as these may differ the hoppers and skippers will vote for this syle of sections, but is this the way to continue. My view and not because I am geting older!!! is No Stop for both answers, easy to ride, easy to observe and anyone new to the sport could pick this up really easy and not get frightened off thinking there is no way I can hop and skip round that section. I think it is time to get the sport back to a set of rules that are universally acceptable, just an opinion. Any thoughts and if there are any Poll experts out there give it a go! Cheers
