  1. or is just a cheap motor from previous years?
  2. Simply put worldwide they will sell shedloads of these so economies of scale. Trials bike at 3k you try making money out of that?
  3. So simple solution 1 min or so per section, sorted.
  4. My comments are valid you only have to lok at the start of the erzberg to realise where the sales are. People make trials bikes because they can and wish to do so, I guess sherco beta and gas gas break even at least. We don't "long" for stop permitted we have it in our centre and anywhere else in the uk where we want to. Stop allowed hasn't increased anything and as an objective statement tinkering with rules one way or the other at WTC will not increase sales or participation. factually its probably less riders on top route, surely we can agree rule change hasn't done any good whatso ever?
  5. Attack Michaud because he was the driving force behind the change and has used every excuse to say its been a success
  6. Also extreme enduros rather than endures for these ex trials guys means they have an advantage over the others.
  7. I would say 20 times endur0s are sold compared to trials, that's where the money comes from. An electric fan for thousands of cars will always be cheaper economies of scale.
  8. I think there would be much more respect if the FIM simply had changed the rules for a reason, and stated what the reason was, so them and the whole world could measure the success or not? The most disappointing thing to me is that they said there would be other changes but there haven't, and that it seems to have been glossed over. Is there one more participant in the top route? Has one extra bike been sold? Are applications increasing to take up the sport?
  9. found the dvla office in Northampton really good, as stated above they are due for closure as listed here http://dvla-offices.co.uk/dvla-local-office-closures/
  10. try allen used spares should be way cheaper too
  11. The rep sol I had in 08 had a special light, surely you get one for the extra £1300 odd don't you?
  12. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/10799-windsor-comp-shop/
  13. so front wheel or back wheel sensors that detect motion even when the wheel is locked up in mid air or skidding down hill? not seen a detector for that.
  14. Perhaps turning it on its head if you study the "launch" of the recent Greeves brand that's the way it shouldn't be done.
  15. Bike sales depends more than anything on personal opinion. You have to get enough people to think this bike is worthy of their money. There is a massive difference between best brand, success, sales and starting a trials factory. As a case study it might be worth looking at recent entries to the market, Ossa and JTG. Have they the best brand? Are they selling? Will they survive this recession? Why are so many factories in Catalonia? Marketing is only a fraction of this. Years ago we had factory riders sponsored local riders and many things inbetween, now not that much. It is a very very small market, and the world championship is "bought" by Montesa Honda and they probably don't break even, and of the big four probably sell fewest bikes.
  16. the fact that it worked, then stopped then worked points to something simple not serious. The fact you "fiddled" with an earth and it re started tends to point to a simple solution.
  17. Windsor comp shop had their own team, think billy McMaster rode for them? wcs was owned by colin morams of slough, again I think.
  18. and its not a repsol light at all! The rumours of surplas bikes was true a few years ago, I don't think anyone has said a 260 could be anything but new.
  19. The colonial was my favourite shame its gone.
