is it true they only have one bearing in the back wheel?
  9. Don't think you ever get to count fives, only a draw if there is no time element, final decider is otherwise least marks lost furthest, ie 1 2 3 is a better score than 1 3 2.
  10. Anyone riding this event?
  11. can we now enter on the day?
  12. try in 4th or fifth big jump to get wheel turning.
  13. As most bultaco owners will know on a day to day basis any kind of misfire or slight cough on these bikes is not down to carb spark plug sheared woodruffe keys or even condensor. The first thing to look at is the face of the points which can easily become pitted. Why this happens I dunno but it does. So much so that i always carried a points file which does the trick. the others are all possible but always look here first. Window in flywheel allows acess and its easy to do when you have it up in the air with a bit of light. if you haven't done this before then its worth dropping the magneto flwheel thingy off and seeing what the faces are like anyway. I used to swap once every ten trials or so.
  14. i don't know what this blokes on about but, do you know where your points are?

jack had this wheel last year for a while when they first appeared as a prototype on the ossa. I think but could be wrong, it is made in italy for ossa, which is why TTT got hold of it so early on. It has a big advantage over the mont type rim insomuch as it has a single nipple at one end. sadly it was not 100% reliable (pulled spokes out!) but if jacks using it indoors it might be right now.

this is the full factory clutch fitted first to jeronis bike then dougs, wiggys and now jacks. Don't think its perfect but better for the top lads than standard.
  17. The one on the left looks very like the one on the right modified for the longer comerfords swinging arm, on the 340 specials. no part number for that baby, ever.
  18. Can you photograph your legs so we can get a better idea?
  19. no ifs no butts.
  20. colley was told to stop burning rubber maybe it wasn't a joke.
  21. Seriuosly i do feel sorry for the people over there, but I think we forget sometimes how lucky we are to have massive resources here which can limit the effect of disasters/floods and so forth, or at least the aftermarth, wasn't it 3 weeks to get a temporary bridge in cumbria? One statistic which I can't remember the exact wording but something like 18 milion in Aus and 16 million live within 200 miles of the coast? Thats a big space in the middle! Was listening to the radio with an australian woman explaining how her husband had waded chest high to get home. Just daft he could have been the next victim.
  22. is it live again?
  23. All that nasty weather, glad i'm in the uk.
