reduce the points gap a bit? think 2'5 is better for steady riders anyway. make sure the float level is right once the tickover and needle is ok, or I would even do it the other way round?

Worth every penny, made the bike perform how I wanted it too. my local dealer came to my practice area and we tried 3 maps and i had the two I liked set up but just used the one when I had the bike.

make sure you have free play on the rod and consequently the arm, then back the screws off to reduce spring tension, if you go too far it will slip.

I will but in case you don't know it yet a valuable lesson has been learned by you and perhaps its more a caveat to others that think european trials parts are cheaper in the states than the uk. Similarily whilst there is no such thing as a free lunch, supporting the advertisers on this site who are covered by British law trading standards etc, gets access to this site and the benefits therin.

not trials parts it aint. perhaps if you want something again you would support the British buisness that keep this site supported and allow you to moan about your naievety in public.

You dont need an in line filter there is a bajo filter on the carb, btw make sure thats clean. check the floats are working right and they usually are no bother. it should start on choke with little or no throttle. Is the timing right?

....or put it down to stupidity to think that you could buy the same thing in the states made in europe for less?

Looks a good idea but beware of the bulkiness for fitting the smaller sizes on to the bolts on the bike.
