Agreed. I was saying that the bsb is self funded. ACU is not doing enough to promote trials period. When Sam haslam Alexz ross rob crawford fry wibberly(and more) were doing the youth wtc it looked great for britain but now only shepard is there and he is nearly at the age bou started on the top route. What seems to happen is that we get a few through but either through lack of support guidance training or ACU federation truck and support,all our lads seem to peak and fade away. It does happen in Spain aswell Gibert oliveras france bethune etc but to get further up seems a problem. The younger lads from wiggy downwards have an excellent chance to make it through as they will be 25 when bou is 30 raga 33 and cbestany 34, so the oppurtunity beckons for them all.

...perhaps more worringly the bottom route youth was as poorly supported as its ever been as far as I can remember, and it was these lads with dads that were keeping it afloat.

how can you know what your max "is"?

I had a 290 evo and could not use it with a weight on. It comes down to throttle control if you are good with that there is less need for it.As it takes the sharpness of the accelaration it has exactly the same effect on deceleration and runs on.

Surely the ratios of most trials are like this anyway so why is the btc so different. To say the youth have their own championship is bigotted small minded and totally misses the point of their inclusion in these events. As the others have said why spoil perfectly good nationals for 6 riders?

Perhaps the biggest difference between europe and the U.S. is the consistent quality of fuel in Europe, its pretty much ok and very similar anywhere you go and pump gas is a good enough octane.

I think in some ways you have answered your own question,I am off in a week or so to the Reeth 3 day and it is without a doubt my favourite trial of the year, but I am not even in the top class so theres no chance of me winning, but I am riding there cos its a great event and its the best level I can ride at. If I was much younger I would love to be a minder or even a rider at european or world events, and I think all the Brits including Brown and Alexz want to ride these events as its the best events and the pinnacle of our sport. The biggest tragedy in my mind is that the ACU seem incapable of bring a trials world championship to England and the masses being able to see the best perform alongside our British lads. Worringly there seems to be a real lack of talent coming through in our A class and when these top wtc 5 start tailing off their wont be many ready to take there places from the uk.
