  1. I'm not 100% sure but Fuji's contract is with Montesa there is no HRC trial team. That's not to say that he hasn't been down at the Japenes workshops just the same as I expect Cabestany to be at Paxaus on monday.
  2. Yes they are, bet they wished they had the tv rights aswell.
  3. here here, great work r2w, its spirit like this which is so british, stiff upper lip in the face of crisis, never mind what the others are saying about your white shoes and stuff.........
  4. Dougie 4th not in final Raga Cabsetany fuji in final
  5. I don't really think I need to wimp out I'm not really clear on the ass ache comment as to what madman means. I don't know anything about the American situation Martin and as I think you know I respect your handling of the Montesa importership in the States although if explainations are required on anything perhaps you will return the answer with your own explaination on how the 4rt appeared on your website first. I do have some critisisms of Sandifords based on personal experience and the farcical pr on their handling of the launch of the new bike and delivery on/off dates to joe public. Why they take this attitude to their paying punters and dealers is beyond me, just one example would be that I had a brochure 2/3 weeks before them, and was sitting on a bike in a Spanish shop before they had one in the UK, why? Montesas are not my favourite bike I just can't get on with them but that doesn't mean they are a bad bike and I have never said they were, in fact I said something like " they have the best suspension..." to someone only this afternoon. Since riding one at the BVM test day I have been honest im my comments and have certainly not slagged it off at all. Sorry if it has been misinterpreted. My question still remains the same why was there no 4rt's at the knut and the vic brittain and who apart from john Sunter are sponsored Sandiford riders? Good luck to Dougie at Sheffield and my guess is if the bike is as good as is suggested he will win. Viva Doug Viva mont.
  6. Could call Radson radiators in Belgium think there is a family connection there but could be wrong.........
  7. Call Vesty uk and ask for Jan Cardinals.
  8. My time clock is all up the spout so don't mention time but since when is 5 minutes six weeks? No 4rt's at the Knut either was there. Seriously does Sandifords sponsor anyone?
  9. Whats the best result for the 4rt so far? Now James Lampkin has chosen the beta to ride rather than the montesa to mind is there anyone any good left on one? Who are Sandifords sponsoring and how did they do at the first national of the year the Vic Britton?
  10. Why was there no Sandiford sponsored riders at thetrial? 4rt should be winning nationals shouldn't it? Was there any there at all?
  11. Right the brass strips should be equal in vertical height from the machined flat bowl mating surface, where the gasket goes. So if you had an upturned u shape it would sit where the gasket does and read 18.5 up to the 2 brass bits. Floats don't matter as its measuring the shut off point. Any help?
  12. Not sure what you are describing there, but the levels are 18.5 and when you do it its obvious, and bothof the floats should be the same andshut off the fuel inlet does that make sense?
  13. We will be able to see if its a standard 4rt (as much as possible) and Cabestany on the Sherco in competition for the first time, another 2 exclusive firsts for Trials central!
  14. I see, would have thought Tom was masters standard at least, if not one of top ten in the country..........
  15. Top fun have a nice ally float height checker and I have used it with some success. With the dellorto just tip it upside down and it measures 18.5 exactly just simply natural level with the bowl off. As a one off you can just cut a sheet ally to size or a bit of cardboard. They rarely move once set.
  16. That makes a bit of sense if he has a ttt deal to mind for Dabill.
  17. Well done Richard Allen, nearly 40 and showing the young lads how its done. How come Tom sagar is still scoring points? I thought once you won you were non eligeble(sp)?
  18. Disagree here as alot of expert riders bikes are very well looked after depends on the rider aswell. My 290's are always very good but I have part ex'd the last 5.
  19. Not sure how true that is as when I rode one it wasn't 1800rpm or above.
  20. Bear in mind 2 years ago Birkett said the Showa forks were the best forks ever on a trials bike
  21. I guess if the sections are hard enough damage will occur if however we do a simpler straightforward thing then it reduces the risk, not ideal though, needs more thought.
  22. Need to open out the inlet and get a rubber carb to airbox
