I think two will go in with either the forks compressed or doors open!
-
Whatever the faults they have Sherco's are not reknowned for needing "cleaning" out here in the UK, so I find it difficult to understand where you get the info and how.
-
Right tell me what the mods over stock were for Jarvis and Connor in the USA last year then?
Or what was non stock on Cabys bike at sheffield?
-
This I like very much. Thanks.
-
I can't see any reason why this wouldn't work, clear tube gives a visual indication if needed, and a breather if you think that there will be any need for expansion or contraction. As ishy says it works fine with a bolt.
I'll give it a shot.
Any chance of a photo ishy?

Yes it did rev as clean as the stock, perhaps a little better. So he maybe had a vx plug and a set of reeds. Don't think that apart from possibly porting it looked pretty standard to me, don't think he had a Kehin on either.
Wheels frame forks tank carb rad tyres brakes bars exhaust airbox all standard, no mag forks on his.
I'd say that was more standard than works wouldnt you, never realised a sticker could make a bike go better, I must get one of those.
In case you are in any doubt as to what a sherco will do I rode 10 or so sections next to Jarvis in the lakes last year and it was him that was making it get up obstacles so where you get the idea he only needs a works bike to get up stuff I'm not sure and that bike was reving out cleanly as all Shercos will if correctly set up.
Clearly Jarvis's bike was stock, and it is well known that he often rides a stock one.
If none of the top riders bikes are stock then I must have missed the posting you made when the press report and Dougie said just that.

Cabestany was on a very standard sherco and raga's is a Raga surely?
-
errrrr, except sheffield?

More than anything its got to be down to economics and production methods in Japan. A couple of years ago they sold out for 6 months or so and couldn't make anymore, most likely reason is engine supply. 2 and 4 stroke manufacture would halve (my guess) sales of each, therefore production costs increase maybe by the same. Pretty likely they have one engine manufacture run a year.
-
Yep to make space, the vent thing is not a problem though as you could use one of those hope vents.
-
Sounds like an explaination of a Raleigh runabout clutch. That worked well enough.
-
Would be the dogs damglers to either 1) resite the reservoir or 2) do away with it altogether.
Would a long plastic tube have enough reserve? Does it need to breathe?
-
Dont blame the bike, it is just experience which gets you over these little problems. I put my carb and airbox together frome either side of the frame rail then check alignment/sealing airbox to carb then put into the inlet tract. If you service your bike with it higher up it is easier to see where the carb is in relation to the reservoir. Thinking of moving the rear reservoir or doing away with it and that would make a nice little gap there.
I have broken two choke levers before now trying to get it in. its definately more difficult now the flaps are there. Will post about reservoir.

Scorps top yoke not sure what year, renthal clamps and prototype spacer between to get right height.
-
Mne was as you saw it with the 04 05 std pipe. Wonder if the needle is right, was it a nice bag?
-
I had in mind this, below with no bolts.
-
Cota kid can give us lap by lap scores when he goes.
-
I almost think that some where that there is a parts bin that has 33's in it and 1 in 17 is say a 30. Probably at the delorto factory as Sherco have them ready assembled obviuosly.
-
If you are getting it welded why not change to a Sherco type plate and do away with the bolt altogether?
-
Oh no not having a go, just wondered if they had put up any info yet, as I couldn't sleep not knowing if Dougie had got the win yet. Seriously Andy, if it weren't for trials Central well what would I do? (where is the smiley with the brown nose?)
However don't worry as soon as I get the divorce, ditch the kids, and finish off the CSA (another 10 years or so) I will be there. Unfourtunately possibly technology will have completely passed me by (it nearly has), my back will be completly shot, my glasses will be like bottle bottoms, heaven only knows how the eyebrows will be, the length and style of my trousers will be back in fashion, the tank top I saved will be just like Armanis and without a doubt a*** gas will probably lead to a total airline ban, which will mean Japan overland in the Moggy pick up, but apart from that ............ I'm all yours!
-
Is there anyone there from the worldwide trials central team? I thought the indoor round 3 event was tonight?
-
Vesty sells them, dougie uses them too.
