I have a BP5EVX which works real well in the Sherco.
-
Is importing trials bikes that sophisticated?
-
Why are things suddenly going to change outdoors?
-
I think what we are all saying is that a MX bike is not suited to riding flat out for hours on the freeway and similarily a trials bike is not designed to go fast on trails. It will do it but not last that long. The pro is designed to ride sections not trails, the six gears are to enable a faster speed so you can compete in road trials or trials that have a fair distance between sections.

Sampson 22 Wigg 26 Danby 32 Haslam 36 Same cc as first round .
-
Probably one of the better rounds the Bootle, the peak has been pretty good in past years as has the Hillsborough round, but best last year was Mike Rapleys round near lancaster,IMHO. The rest of the trials at least on a modern were pretty much a waste of time, so its not difficult to be better than that.

I think bs meant another generation mr.Honda actually.

I think bs meant a generic mr Honda actually.

Wonder what bikes they will use for the Display team now?
I cannot think that this is anything but unfair but business is like that I guess.
IF Scorpa want the importer to take 3 times the bikes I can't see anyone increasing Scorpa sales by that amount, even with the new 4 stroke they are 3rd in that race as it is and sales of the 4rt are anything less than dramatic. If birkett were to get it would he take 3 times the number of bikes, doubt it.
What happens to the Scorpa sponsored riders?
-
Not much chance of making the podium surely?
-
I must dig out the old riding list and see if that was the case in the last few years, no favouritism my a***. If its changed then great, but the Bootle club has the same problems that all clubs running the classic series have and thats the vast difference in ability from top of D to bottom of A, I personally think it too great as probably prooved by the last round in Cornwall.
South vs. North doesn't really count if most of the decent trials are in the north surely?
-
Spooky I'm posting before the time before, sort of
-
You beat me to it there bs, I'd like to say great minds think alike but doubt it could be further from the truth.
Mike Rapley is really pleased with his 4rt and so he should be its a good bike, my mate munch is over the moon too, has it improved their results? Probably. Martin wilmore had one of the first and has sold it already as he just couldn't get on with it despite trying very hard apparently, and he has had alot of fourstroke experience.
It is really a horses for courses nad would it be better for me, guess we will never know as I'm happy with my Sherco. Are honda bothered, I too doubt it unless the figures don't start to add up then it might end up like the TLR of the 80's.
What bothers me is that if, and its a big if, the WTC bike is not up to the job where does Dougie go from here?
It would be a real shame if Dougie or Fuji couldn't win because the bike wasn't good enough.

Its a great trial if you haven't done it a couple of times, but the last few years there has been a fair few sections that are a bit lame or exactly the same, or avoid a nice rock outcrop and loop you round a bankside which all the entry cleans both laps etc. Local lads and friends do seem to get a few favours, would just be nice for once to have a national ballotted and be fair to all, doesn't just apply to Bootle of course.
7 hours back (worst ever) on a sunday can colour your view of a less than perfect event.

What factory gear? Aveyron 4 day 5-8 May.
Thanks chris, maplins near us so will get the piggy backs. I am thinking I can connect the yellow to front and rear and then bring back an earth to complete the circuit? Hoping the lights will be checked at the start and not every day?
-
Guess Shercool deserves an apology then?
-
-
Took my lights off as usual and now need them working for a french trial, easiest way any ideas?
