  1. It doesnt make a jot of difference whether its cottage industry or big scale production, what matters is the profitability from a product that sells produced from a factory the appropriate size. From the picture of the shed above I'd say they've got more chance of making the numbers work than GG. BUT turning this completely on its head if they can make it work why cant we here in the UK?
  2. if hes not doing wtc or btc or nationals has he packed up too?
  3. one off, kenichi was offered one too i believe. Was billy bolt on one too?
  4. What I cant work out is how its made in Turkey and shipped from outside the eu yet still costs less to produce it there, quality apart. Perhaps more difficult to understand is how the Southampton plant was allowed to close and peeps just accept that its a Transit so its ok. You go to france and the post office utilities etc all have french vans and cars, why dont we? My view is that its a decent enough van but is a few years too late, and with the traffic Vito transporter etc theyve lost far too many customers to ever get back to the numbers (market share) they once had.
  5. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ford/transit/65364/ford-transit-van-factory-closesin case youre in any doubt.
  6. #999 dad off do you never read what peop put? try the quote button? £100(to charity) says not one country greece included will leave the euro before the end of 2016. Your impression matches recession? Thanks for the insight
  7. As a life lesson just because there are two juxtaposed facts it doesnt make your conclusion true.
  8. Spain leaving the euro is so far off you clearly dont understand the whole picture. Your general "impression" is undermined by the cold hard facts that Spain has been in a recession for longer and deeper than us, which most people are fully aware of and has been discussed here many times over the last two years. Catalunya was resisting the economic decline but recent events at Gas Gas shows that they arent immune, and talk of devolution has subsided recently.
  9. So anybody can make anything given quality control? Is that your point?
  10. This was the original point, ie there is no reason to introduce a rule that serves no purpose. No one wants a heavier bike, we've clearly established that. Even if there were a point to the rule which could make bikes more reliable (they are anyway) the most crucial factor is to properly enforce it and police it. This could happen at WTC level but has never been done, and without wishing to repeat myself (I am for dadoffs benefit apparently he's forgotten) at club/centre/and probably national level its a complete non starter. so succinctly, a weight rule will not produce reliability.
  11. I would say and pigs might fly but its not appropriate here. Whilst james 249 gas I can see why perhaps you don't want to name the embezellers of gas gas's wealth surely you can name the israeli investors who have the cash to solve the 26million euro debt?
  12. So Adam and the truck is being funded by "israeli investors"?
  13. Are you for real? A mass start, on easter sunday?
  14. I dont know about the fractions but what Bou does have is the overall best package as a bike. He trains as hard as anyone from what we know and these two simple factors mean he is here for a while. maybe he could beat us on some stuff on a 90 but i do think if you put him on Bustos or eddies bike he would probably fail the indoor sections where he is the only one to get up.
  15. Were the no shows at the front of the entry? Is a figure of 8 possible? Half go one way etc?
  16. Clearly the cost price of a gasser or Sherco or Beta is not that different from each other when you consider that so many components are very very similar/the same. It must be the base price for parts that is profitable, it must be. What isnt the same is the overheads. You look at the sherco assembly plant in Caldes de montbui and its miniscule compared to GG. Thats just one thing. And thats why they easily accomadated manufacturing the OSSA, not that the numbers are that great.
  17. Enduro has that ever made money? Were there people like the mg four who fleeced the company then it sold for a pound?
  18. So whos paying for the truck and raga? It seems that they dont follow any kind of logical business practice of being in administration or whatever it is. As sales are there the bust and re start seems a good way to do it, but in a much smaller factory with different management?
