  1. ive got one where do want measurements to / from? pop round and measure it yourself!
  2. Pretty sure he could win it with a few years riding the event, quality always wins through. One of the hardest things would be him learning to ride no stop, and also how to 3, can't ever remember him struggling in any section ever, seen a few 5's but not many 3's.
  3. no one streams. nothing in wtc is free either afaik.
  4. With dhl as a partner (last year) why didnt the fim do something about reducing the cost of travel, or even work out a deal for airtarvel?
  5. Absolutely, they shouldnt get a world round but im assuming the fim delegates enjoy the long trip?
  6. whatever its cheap compared to every other discipline
  7. he is entitled to post his opinion even if doesnt agree with your view, and i think hes right to make a comment, just as anyone who wants to discuss it is too? are you the forum police now as well?
  8. Its not just "technology" although that does play a part. i spoke with a rider on boxing day who said he won a national trial (fairly tough one with a few good riders) after 18 pints at a wedding the day before.(70's or 80's) Whilst im not saying that would be impossible, much less likely. I think we easily forget that beginners are much the same as they ever were, even with a 2015 bike they probably cant do any more than when most of us first started? But the guys at the top get better year on year on year. So as stated above even some club trials have 4 routes. Whilst the wtc diminishes the top route is getting less well supported the recent changes of 125 till 18 no longer applying and the junior wtc losing any kind of real value by a name change and total lack of support by factories fim etc and also the change to no stop have all worked against maintaining numbers in the top route. My guess is they will be lucky to get 12 at some rounds which is ridiculous. until there is a big shake up whether it be rules or start money or classes or less rounds im not sure but as Gizza says it might not be here at all in 2020.....unless someone does something soon.
  9. rev 3 or pro, i would go pro everytime.
  10. My 340 started life as a bike sold by J wigg motorcycles in Winslow to a ex member of special forces. I think he decided it wasnt exciting enough and had only used it a few times so i got it at a knock down price. Reg may started doing the "vesty replica" conversion so I had one done which included the swinging arm by mick whitlock. I kept this bike but lost interest when the yam monos came along so it went to the back of the shed.Got stolen in the 90's and then recovered but alot worse for wear (seized). Over the following decade or so i acquired a few 340's mainly for spares and my best purchase was a late conversion by Mckenzies possibly a John Reynolds bike, which i then combined with my original swapping engines and swinging arms etc, john moffat purchased the reg may frame i think. When the sebac series started i dragged it out and refurbed it a bit but its about right now if a little tired. My next mod is to get a right foot brake rod operated rear vrake i think using a yam hub.....
  11. ...and there are more than a few who have chucked in a 4rt cos they cant understand how or why it suddenly finds no grip at all.
  12. The examples you give are an insight into your lack of understanding of trials and grip in particular. One trial and a novice in 5th gets 5th best climb? Really? My suggestion is you come south and see how grip is almost totally rider related and little if anything to do with power or rather lack of it? many times lack of power is a benefit to those with lack of throttle control or ability to "read" grip or lack of it.
  13. I made a comment if it doesnt agree with yours it may or may not be regarded as positive, you cannot and should not start a topic and want everyone to agree with you or question the validity of what you state, whether you THINK it is fact or not? My main point and I repeat it in case you didnt read my original comment and as you have said many times about others reading your comments, out of all the things that would put me off an ossa the fi is the last thing. Your posts are too long and not realated enough to trials.
  14. Js wasnt factory rider kadelec has signed I believe, and dont forget Busto. Beta are happy to run one rider as they did with dibs when Fajardo tried the OSSA.
  15. This is where you bend an argument to suit your point of view, which negates the whole thing. Anecdotal evidence of one bike doesnt mean you know everything about the brand. Most would agree (birks himself I'm sure) that the reliability of the ossa was questionable in 2012 models, its much better now and a pal got all the way round the scott on one. To take a leap and glibly say "distrust of fi" is based on not one shred of evidence at all. Out of all the things that would put me off buying one this would be the last.
  16. PR for Jota gas aswell! No end to your talents james
  17. Yep knew he had been ditched at beta in favour of kadelec
  18. None of the Spanish factories are financially sound ossa and jtg are more precarious than most but manage to keep going but who knows? If you really want a 2015 ossa happy to supply to you through a dealer in the states and ship from the uk pm me if you want a price delivery about a few weeks I think
  19. I tried one back in the day just didnt like it, guess its supply and demand, not enough people like them.
  20. Yes guilty as charged. Jump on the crap thats me. If you can see the way BB rides and is with his bikes then admit you may have been wrong to cite this example. Its this glib dismissal which totally undervalues any post?
  21. Billy Bolts ossa as an example of performance, dont make me laugh!Whatever his ability (considerable!) he is one of the hardest on a (trials) bike I have ever seen except maybe Alfredo Gomez and taddy on occasions. You cannot use one anecdotal example,as you in every argument and turn it into 100% fact. ...and to say that maybe you know as much as vertigo is pomposity in the extreme.
