  1. Meteor Group Trials always run a 'Blue' easy route Jack, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
  2. Sorry about that - I just wanted to say I agree in every way Dougie Pumpkin and Now we have somebody who is a real talent in F1 and British please stop putting him down - As seems to be the way certain morons have treated previous Brit Sports Stars.
  3. Sorry to hear the bad news. Dave did not notice anyone following him home on Sunday? - this happens!
  4. I went from a Montesa 315 to a Scorpa sy250 over 2 years ago. After 2 Monts which I liked very much the Scorpa was very different to ride but I adjusted quicker than I did between the 98 and 01 Montesas. I have found the build quality as good and never looked back. As stated by dfwilson, the linkless rear suspension is a bonus as it works superbly and is maintenance free.
  5. Do you not know anyone with a simular bike, that is running fine, so you can try various replacements to find the fault?
  6. Always better to go for a later bike if finances allow in my opinion, assuming the choices are in good condition. I had 98 and 01 Monts in the past and the later bike had significant improvements.
  7. Thanks for the info guys keep it coming - sounds a good one then! Stu. I've seen Oscar around but never made contact, maybe I'll see him soon.

    Beta Rev 3

Although the Beta is a good machine, my son has had a Beta and a Scorpa and the latter definitely in our experience comes out tops on build quality and reliability.
  9. I am thinking about going to the Polish event in early July in Myslenice. Could anyone tell me how close it is to Krakow as that is where I intend to source a hotel. Any other info welcome.
  10. When I had a TY250 mono I used to fit a White 97 Montesa 315 front mudguard as these were much cheaper at the time - worth a try if they are still available anywhere.
  11. What do you mean weather permitting - Riding the Brickyard when it is wet is a 'real experience' !
  12. Thanks Big John. I did guess this as previous years it has seemed impossible to see any results after the event until the TMX publishes them. I would not dream about using a bike SSDT week as I very much agree with what has been said on TC recently.
  13. Is there any Riders List and Route Maps/Section Location available online for the Pre-65 Scottish???
  14. Well Done. Are there any results online?
  15. Even sorer in boiler suits and wellies - I just don't know where this post is going!
  16. In the UK back in the 70s there were only Expert and Novice grades and everybody rode the same route.
  17. Amazing how many different colours are used. In the South Midland Centre generally pairs of Whites are used for the hard route, pairs of Reds for the middle route and pairs of Blues for the easy route. But odd clubs even vary this within the centre.
  18. Excellent Rides, Wayne and James!

    Scorpa Silencer

My 05 also has become noisier but I do not have a particular problem with that, but some-one who supposedly is an expert on Scorpas tells me that this effects the traction in mid range. Can anyone advise on that also?

    Air Mixture

80ml of Castrol TTS to five litres of petrol in both our Scorpas for the last two years. Alls well.
  22. I often wonder what will happen in the future when all us 'old boys' have gone as young helpers/organisers are almost non-existent.
