  1. Do you know what the secondary voltage is on your two stroke? Shocks from kill buttons used to be common in the rain, fortunately there are better kill buttons availble nowdays.
  2. Overall they're fine. If you want any specific info you'll need to divulge the year.
  3. The question rattling around in my head is what happens if you lock the rear wheel without pulling the clutch lever in???
  4. Has anyone ridden one with the tickover feature that can explain how it works?
  5. You still haven't. There is no fraction there, it's a decimal point inserted into a decimal value. I've never heard it said that way, I would say 16 ten thousandths.
  6. Right footpeg is moved back to Trials position, left one is still forward, that's special.
  7. I have a used alu plate for your bike in Chattaroy, WA. I'm going to look for the peg mounts you asked about tomorrow. I'll send you my phone #.
  8. Yamaha didn't make a kit to move the pegs back and down, Sammy Miller did, that may be what you have. I think I may have the Yamaha Peg mounts pictured above, if you're interested I'll dig around and see. Here's the brake lever you want. https://www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/23X-83922-01-00
  9. Nothing wrong with doing things the hard way if you prefer but PBI also sells the original dished sprockets in your choice of sizes.
  10. Are you sure it's not Keich? I assume they supplied the cap to whoever made the tank. https://www.kelch.com/products/caps-gauges-and-sensors/
  11. I recommend using the 23x levers you can look them up on a TY350.
  12. I think your pegs are in the stock position. Yamaha sold a kit to move them forward, which included the brake pedal you have, I think I have a set of them. The aftermarket sold peg mounts that went down and back. I don't have a TY anymore.
  13. That is definitely an enduro seat, brake pedal too, looks odd with the Trials peg position (your pegs look good though). That low profile rear tire won't do you any favors when jumping logs. Bar risers with the forks slid up like that seems counterproductive.
  14. It sounds like yourTY has been converted for trail use, Yamaha offered a large optional seat, I don't recall ever seeing one, how about a photo of your bike? A used Trials seat should be fairly easy to find. The help for your suspension is easy to find in the last 40 years of motorcycle developement, as in a newer bike. There is a Trial next month in Newman Lake, WA, about 46 miles from you.
  15. Jumping logs is a technique issue rather than a power issue. I suggest you ride some Trials events and work on learning good technique. Handguards are invaluable if you need to plow through brush.
  16. From memory (gawd I'm old) that's a Pacifico universal plastic tank, haven't seen one in decades.
  17. What did you figure out about your gearbox drag?

    Tyres...

MT43 is a horrible choice for your 175. You will feel like you've got a new bike!
  19. 1 1/4" will probably work too.
  20. It might only last another 40 years.
  21. If you call Chapparral I imagine they can drop ship you one.
  22. The TR11 tube type is a better bet, it's also a radial and is the same size as the Dunlop you have. Dunlop does make tube type Trials tires but the D908 has always been tubeless only.
  23. Does it behave the same in both directions? If you rotate it until it binds does it rotate freely the other direction then bind up again in the same spot every time? If you loosen the sprocket nut does it change? Is the shoulder on the sprocket on the inside? How did you come to notice this?

    TRS stand

The newest TRS sidestand is greatly improved (larger and stronger) over yours. I would guess it will fit your 2017 but check with your dealer. Get both the stand and mounting bracket.
  25. I don't know where you found an article recommending O Neal boots for Trials but I'll say they have no idea what they're talking about.
