I would try Alan Smith at Guisborough, but in all honesty I would think he would need to order the parts from Rathmell's the importers. Not the parts most dealers would carry.

Have we got two Beta bashers posting on this site, I was sure the other Beta basher had just got a Sherco 200.
  3. john.b replied to ham2's topic in Beta
Looks like you've just made it 2-0 Lewis!
  4. john.b replied to endo kid's topic in General Trials Talk
Yes I agree, notified Andy at tea-time tonight.
  5. john.b replied to cota kid's topic in Sherco
    I thought standard was 10:42.
  6. If everybody has these problems with Beta carbs leaking fuel, my mate included, isn't it about time the factory sorted this problem out instead of leaving it to their customers to fix. This has been going on for years, surely Beta should insist Mikuni get it sorted. Edit :Sorry Husky, just realised we are on the same wavelength with our posts.
  7. Just a thought but how tight did you tighten the flywheel nut? If not tight enough you may have sheared the woodruff key allowing the flywheel to slip when you stopped the engine. Try removing the flywheel and check for the woodruff key condition.
  8. It's on the Sherco USA website on the service guides. It's towards the bottom of the page and shows the revised timing details.
  9. The later models have a different ignition system and is checked by using a strobe light on the timing marks. I'm sure there is an additional download on the Sherco website for late 03 and 04 models, I would think the 05 will be the same.I'll have a look and see what I can find.
  10. Feet slipped off pegs on landing! Ouch. Have things dropped back in to place yet then?
  11. Looks like I'll have to give the 290 a test ride.
  12. I don't think they've been released yet.
  13. I'm with Ishy on this one, I think the Repsol sponsorship with Beta UK may be the link. Surely Honda's public relations dept would be telling us he had already signed. However could be Doug has already signed again for Montesa and is having a good laugh watching our posts. He did n't start this topic did he?
  14. Surely if he was staying at Montesa-Honda it would have been announced by now. If he is not staying with Montesa then my money is on a return to Beta.
  15. Oops! See you've still got the knack of making friends Nigel!
  16. Better get it done quick, if Alan reads this he'll be putting his prices up! Thanks James, I had n't a clue.
  17. Results in paper says Simon Kershaw won trial on 27
  18. Just looked at the Evening Gazette (local evening paper) and front page news is for snow expected on friday and over the weekend. Let's keep fingers crossed as this is one of my favorite trials of the year.
  19. When did you get the long blond hair Cota?
  20. john.b replied to john.b's topic in Sherco
Sorry, it was just when you are sat waiting you tend to look at other bikes and just thought they looked the same. I'd better stick to plumbing eh bikespace! So does that mean the 04 Sherco has a different wheel to other year Sherco's or that Sherco's wheel is different to a Gas Gas wheel?
  21. Glad you enjoyed it Betabasher. Did you see some sections that you thought you would be able to have a go at when practising there?
  22. john.b replied to john.b's topic in Sherco
I think they they all share same back wheel, apart from Mont. They all use same compact rear caliper as well. (Beta apart)
  23. john.b replied to john.b's topic in Sherco
Nigel did you receive my PM?
  24. Are you still going on Sunday Betabasher? Let's hope this frost goes as Charltons can be one very slippy place when cold. The shale tips are so hard and compacted that ice on the slopes makes riding very tricky. Have a good day Betabasher.
  25. Been to dealer and he thinks bike may be too advanced as it also has a symptom of kicking back a lot on starting. Getting it checked this week. I always felt like Arkwright and Granville on 'Open all Hours' being attacked by the till. I was starting to fear kicking it off.
