  1. He looks tired, is gradually losing fitness and had a few health complaints recently. He seems to be enjoying a fresh challange but, given the right tools (and if it was what he desired) to get him back to his healthiest he'd still be up their. Getting past 30 takes its toll on most sports people due to degeneration, except obviously, marathons and ultra marathons were it takes time to adapt/degenerate the body in order compete at the top level. For most sports its a battle against fatigue and postural misalignment making it a greater challange. (dougie included) Riding trials causes a great deal of upper crossed syndrome and moves the body further from its optimal alignment... So why is Troy Corser still riding WSB at 36? George Foreman won a world heavyweight title at the age of 45. Michael Schumaker was racing at 38 - there are more people i can think of but most importantly Jarvis is younger. Upper Crossed Syndrome: This syndrome produces elevation and protraction of the shoulders, winging of the scapula, and protraction of the head - so does this mean your head will fall when you ride over a very large rock? .....this toilet talk is getting to CT league.
  2. Question CT: Name the rider/s from the list below for which the following applies: The rider/s has won and finished on the podium on many occassions. The rider has not won and finished outside the top 5. The rider competes and is competitive based on current result (up todate) a) fuji b)raga, c)cabs, d)doug, e)jarvis, f)frexia, g)bou, h)tarres, i) saunders. ....and don't talk toilet by asking another silly speculation question because you don't understand.
  3. Hawstone Park result was a blip on the score card. Still beating Dabill and Morris is what counts not these silly speculations about one trial, which for a fact he didn't compete a full season, and he doesn't want to does he!!! Hawstone Park result give it a rest or the hairy fairy toilet speculators will be out in force. Jarvis would be top 5 in the World if he wanted it.
  4. And was his riding as bad in real life as it was in the vid? yep his riding is rubish..he cant even win an inters route..we all know him very well he is the southeast Jester of trials down here on his rolf harris bike... Rabie, spot on and a very good trial. AdamAnt, mate you is gonna loose a
  5. I'd be interested to know as well.

  9. The topic: In a sense i actually agree with EL on no minders, but fail to understand why there is a need to express a view in his way. Take for example F1 car racing, the team with the most money normally wins. Trials, take for example a rider who has 6 individuals aiding his every ride/move will have a go at almost everything and anything compared to a rider who has no help. So the bigger the team, the larger number of minders, catchers etc.. the better the performance sounds a little unfair but if everyone is doing it then its evens. However when there are up and coming riders with out this support its not what i'd call a fair game of cricket, as EL said no minders.
  10. I've got an 05 Gas Gas and an 07 Beta, and have ridden an 06 Beta. The 06 Beta felt heavier then my Gas Gas, but the 07 Beta i really can't say its any heavier. The 07 Beta is good for going across cambers, rear wheel hopping, stability and steering. The Gas Gas is better in the mud bounces the both front and rear wheels with ease, but nothing the Beta isn't that good at. The quality of build i'm sad to say on my Gas Gas (raga) is 'not' that bad!! The Beta seems to come apart easier than the Gas Gas, but i know how to work on the Gas Gas so its even stevens. The only thing i can honestly say which the Beta is better at is rider stability. My Beta's clutch is very snatchy and this lets the bike down quite a lot. If I say i'm riding my Gas Gas in competition and the Beta in the odd competition for now, i'm sure you can draw a conclusion from this.
  11. If you like blue buy the Sherco. If you like red buy the Gas Gas, or If you like orange buy the Beta. I was going to buy a blue bike to match my eyes but there wasn't one available so i bought a orange bike. I also own a red bike
  12. I was loose and the camera angle flattens that section I was pleased to make it to the end cards. NooOOooOoOoooo. Don't say that . I will never hear the end of it
  13. Obviously the rider has some effect but I been saying all along since I had one 2 years ago - Having rode all the others, the Sherco 320 4T is the best 4 stroke 'Trials' motor out there at the moment bar none. In my very humble opinion of course I have had a raft of bikes and even with the starting problems of old, The 4T is still my favourite bike to ride of all time. Roll on 2008 so I can get another one Jarvis's, Olivera WINNERS!!!!on an Sherco 4t and the crowds go WILD!!!..... Sherco have got there act together its a great looking bike even better than the Rev-4, way better then the 4rt and Scorpa 4t. Anyone know if the bike is tuned or straight Out Of The Crate Standard with these wins? I reckon this will be the 4t for us all, its that big motor and excellent chassis will rip your arms off I've gotta get me a go on one of these. Ian, even though you will have the best 4t and possibly the best trials bike ever made i still think i'm the better rider.
  14. Yeah, Spud told me about that too Dont listen to him OTF. I've been told ADAMant likes nothing better then to let it all hang out in a local public toilet is nick name.........your never guess........ George Michael George pays well and your a good receiver
  15. Yeah, Spud told me about that too Dont listen to him OTF. I've been told ADAMant likes nothing better then to let it all hang out in a local public toilet he goes by the nick name of George Michael .....his wife is just a cover story
  16. Oi!!!! If i didn't know any better AdamAnt i'd say you was having a pop at me.... Lets get the facts 1) Your over 40 2) You ain't got a bike 3) You is a bald badger 4) I heard you've a cocktail sausage so your missus said Actually, your missus didn't complain about my 'cocktail sausage' - She said its the biggest lump of pork shes had on her plate for ages! Your missus said that whilst i was slamming her head against your headboard I was so much better than you, she was loving it
  17. Oi!!!! If i didn't know any better AdamAnt i'd say you was having a pop at me.... Lets get the facts 1) Your over 40 2) You ain't got a bike 3) You is a bald badger 4) I heard you've a cocktail sausage so your missus said .....and you kiss Andy's hairy bottom
  18. Seen the 05 being ridden now, its got some go alright!!! That torque response from zero revs front wheel placed and a quick flick of the throttle but even a 290 2t to shame on one section.
  19. I agree although most cars have EFI but they dont need a high RPM at tickover. Probably the only thing left to sort on the bike. The one I rode had the tickover set high and it was horrible at low speeds having to slip the clutch. I didnt need to do this on the 4T after the mods. My 2005 4rt had a snatchie clutch and when i think about the high tickover combined with snatchie clutch it was difficult to ride in the mud, never thought about that, and then didn't the clutch get sorted on the 06? Woody, that's interesting you say about the larger flywheel and it allowing the bike to drop to zero revs, i've tried this on a 2t and was very surprised some time back at how good the bike rode, i forgot about this, but i may go down this route again for my lastest 2t. Did the Sherco 4t ride stable like the 4rt, this was the best bit about my Mont?
  20. Yup, I am BUT.. I said I wouldn't buy another unless it went EFI so as it hasn't, I would need to see 6 months of competitive riding by Joe Public before I got out the wallet again. How double dare you say you want EFI the starting probs have been sorted, come on

    She's Dead Dave...

If it were me i'd be looking for water in the carb and was it cold (weather) when you washed the bike? If it ran fine up until you cleaning it the problems with water running down the throttle cable could be the answer. If it was cold on the day you cleaned it i know from experience water can freeze in the carb very quickly you'd get the same kind of symtoms you have said and this happened to me on a Montesa 315 .....best of luck what ever is causing it. Left out in the sun for half an hour sort of gives it away what the weather was like!!! Been sunny here all day but I would certainley not be out in shorts and t-shirt! in fact it was pretty damn cold had hailstones on a bright sunny day not too long ago, so i think my point stands about it being sunny and cold.
  22. Scopra3, have you meet or spoken with Jarvis?... i'd say he's a modest man not one for fuss or glitz and are we to expect to hear him say WOW, FANTASTIC, AWESOME about the 4t......The bike blimming well got him a win i'd be well happy and so will he ,but this is the way he says things its OKAY and if Jarvis says "Okay" that's okay by me, and its my next bike in 2008!!!! Is there no one excited about this bike?

  24. Isn't this 'big news' this win, coupled with the bikes reapperance??? i did notice todotrial has given this win a little more air play. Ian it'd have thought this would have made home page headline news..... now where's Ishy to add his ten pence worth.
