  1. Same way he got to work on TC
  2. Agree with AtomAnt , Cota is full of it, talks a loads of B*****ks, no facts all fiction, lives in dream world and can anyone a smell the bull around here? Merry Christmas Cota.
  3. Raga allowed Fuji the wins because he had such a strong lead and knew if he took is easy and not hurt himself then he'd be champion again. When Raga wants to ride he shows the rest what a rider and bike can do. A caluculated win and good enough to sesl the win at mid way through the season. Fuji rode his heart out all season but didn't get enough practise in at the start. The montesa is realiable and a well deserved win in the manufacturers championship, would have been a lot more coverated if we were talking the a world rally manufacturers championship. Bou moves may in the short term pay but in the long term he will look back and say "should have stayed with Beta and had a bit less money but would have won the championship in 2007". we remember titles but not money and money is easily spent whereas a title would stay with Bou forever.
  4. With out doubt the 320cc engine has got to have some serious power thats a big motor, and the 2kg isn't much when you consider its tipping the scales the same weight as the 4rt. However, looking a Fuji's bike i reckon his bike (and Doug's) is below 70kg and this is where the big money of honda works against Sherco. But the size of the rider could make the difference in weight difference (bike and rider) between say Doug on the 4rt and Cabs on the 320cc. Disagree, the 4rt was not the winning package for 2006 nor will it be for 2007. Why do we keep hearing Montesa is constantly developing their bike, and we hear 'nothing' from Gas Gas? Its catch-up to Gas Gas for Montesa, and even though Gas Gas do not have the best rider in the world their bike is by far the best!! Bou has made a mistake going to Montesa better he stayed with Beta and become world champion 07. All this speculation and not a hint of factual results used from the 06 season - smell the coffee please! The acid test will be if Frexia improves in 2007 should he ride a 2t (namely Gas Gas)
  5. Do i get an automatic entry because you like me or would a bottle of vodka and a kiss on the cheek be better?
  6. What if Sherco invested a bit more time and R&D into their 4t? The engine power will never be a problem because the motor can be increased in size and tuned until its got way to much power even for Cabs. The handling will be spot by todays standards, the brilliant chassis and suspension needs no further input. whats lacking is perhaps the EFI, but then the Scorpa in the hands of Kuroyama finished way up the leaders board at the Japanese GP with a carb. Why won't Sherco compete a 4t in any WTC? Frexia would be a good rider.
  7. I see it at some point in the not to distant future the FIM saying 4t for both WTC's. Does Sherco need to find a 4t rider fast and who could it be? Will their bike start . (couldn't resist saying that - sorry) Should Cabs or Jarvis have rode the 4t when it was introduced? Gas Gas: why didn't Raga go to Montesa could it be the pending Gas Gas 4t? Beta: Why did Bou switch to Montesa when he would have known about the 4t and i suspect would have rode it to see how good it really is(money is not always the driving force behind decisions) Are the WTC's riders saying only the Montesa is competitive? Are the manufacturers privately saying their 4t's are not competitive so keeping there 2t's? The general public will buy irrespective of whether its a 2t or 4t, so long as its seen as the best bike. Cabs signing the new deal is good news, but better we see him on a 4t don't you think?
  8. I've given up asking my wife if she knows the weather forecast when i've missed it. She does try but the problem is maps/geography are not her thing. If its raining in the South East and sunny in Yorkshire she'll say its sunny (i've not ridden outside the South East)..... caught me out twice bless her, left the waterproof's at home got to the event and its been chucking it down. The best bit is when I get home the conversation mostly revolves around four letter words Are you Southern Centre?
  9. Its difficult when i'm sure we both know it is the rider and our skills which are at fault and not the bike. That said, and from my prospective to change from a 2t to any 4t i'd be doing so because there is a marked improvement with the 4t bike. My limited riding skills suit the 2t's better. I will never be as good as steve saunders, and may never master the throttle control stuff in the mud, so what i want is a bike which takes me through sections the best, and not requiring a special way of ride. The saying goes Old Dogs don't learn New Tricks and i'm no spring chicken. Just going to moan a little at you. Please can you add further details to your profile, i wouldn't say this but if you are from the south east of england it would be nice to know.
  10. Yes - "New chassis, with geometry as a direct by-product of the official motorcycle ridden by Albert Cabestany...." Cabestany spec vs 2007 Adj shock - yes Wave brake discs on both wheels - yes New chassis geometry - yes Shorter rear swing arm - yes but lighter and profile changed New foot peg location - yes New Handlebar bend stamped Cabestany - different, now has fatbar marked Sherco/Neken (no crossbar) 450cc larger capacity fuel tank - yes but thicker skinned New cylinder head configuration - yes but different to Caby replica New shorter exhaust header pipe - yes New Keihin PWK Carburetor - no fitted with PHBL26BS Dellorto New Albert Cabestany Graphics - some red but no Caby name on rear mudguard In addition 07 has billet triple clamps, rear disk guard, and chain/boot guard. The 07 and Cabs now weigh the same 69.5kg
  11. I don't i'm NOT saying my 05 4rt was bad (clutch could have been a little better) and in my case its most definately pilot error not machine!!! still hard to swallow this fact and why i sold the 4rt
  12. dixie, haven't got the results but not that i need them i'm riding a class above my abilities (expert route) . do this because i'm trying to become a better centre intermediate and would like to ride some events outside the south east. anyway gotta say i've never reved my bike so hard ever! there was quite a lot of queing for the 70 odd riders and 13 sections, mostly because bikes were being retreived from the sections and needing 2-3 people to drag them out. no big off's for me but not so lucky for some others. a good trial, i'm learning more stuff everytime i ride little by little. i'd have liked to have seen saunders riding he's mega in these types of conditions (rev-4 video clip). my bruv rode for his second time in many years off, he was on the inter route and lost loads of marks, reckon that is was too much for him - his best rides were when i was shouting at him in the sections . the land is in e. sussex, was muddy banks, rocky stream in a woodland. yes there are quite a few pieces of land in kent i ride at. reckon i may have lost 150marks going back to the threads topic. stability on my old 4rt was really good, but i had big problems finding traction in the mud, unlike any 2t i've owned. if gas gas can make their 4t stable and grip as good in the mud as my 300cc raga i will buy one!....even thou i haven't got the money There is only onebike i've test ridden which ticked the following boxes. stability, power, lightness, confidence and that bike was the sherco replica. i really hope that gas gas will get there bike light and under 70kg with efi and 350cc engine and most importantly it looks a good as the rev-4
  13. another message for GG: just got home from a trial. sections were swamp mud fourth gear throttle to the stop and dumping the clutch all day... none (inc) of the experts were riding 4t, and most ride a newer bike than me. my bike is an 05 raga
  14. ..... me bike had thy cabestany slapped on it i'd be a crap rider. as me don't is really crap rider tis an improvement - yes thy most interesting part of all thy spec is short swing arm. more lard over the rear giving better tractor traction in mud.

    Beta 4-stroke

The TMX review seems very favourable Kinell. Anyone buying should not be disappointed I know buying a bike blind (not ridden) you do question yourself have made the right decision. The video footage shows the bike to be first class, the TMX review is thumps up and the bike is packaged in a tried and tested chassis. Next year, or maybe 2009 I would have thought the bike will go EFI and we'll see not only a 250cc but a 125cc and 400cc standard. Perhaps with the 125cc, those in authority will allow a slight bigger engine for our youth's, should they need more to match the very competitive 125cc 2t. If i had the money i buy one.

    Beta 4-stroke

there must be riders who don't go on TC buying....maybe another 20...in the uk i think we have about one hundred and fifty thousand trials riders and TC has sub three thousand worldwide!...and we've only had twenty thousand hits on this thread.

  19. The Statement: If anyone can build a bike which has more bite than Jaws, could win a MX, and is lighter than a nats-do-dar its Gas Gas!!! As for reliability its two fingers to those none beleivers, Gas Gas's are built well i'm no mechanic and mines sweet after 1.5yrs of ownership. If Gas Gas your reading this, I'm a potential customer, build a bike which is 500cc you've got me money!!
  20. I'm also interested at
  21. I find it disappointing the 320 has been somewhat over looked because of its teething problems on the early models. I like the bike (looks) more so than the 4rt. Could the way to make it popular is to have a 4-stroke review of all the different 4-stroke bikes. i should PM this thought to Andy, TC.... Could TC find a rider/s to write bike reports?
