  1. It would be nice to have a Trials calendar you can hang on the wall so the family can see when i'm riding. The calendar might have the latest bikes and riders, but especially our lady trials riders (tongue in cheek) looking rather fit possing on there bikes .....I'd settle for just the bikes and world round riders if anyone knows where i can buy a calendar i'm all eyes
  2. our bid seems not to have been the highest, see below:
  3. How about a paragraph in the ACU handbook saying something along the lines of: All twin shock, pre 65, 72 etc ..should conform to the manufacturers orginal specification. Where replacement parts are not available from the manufacturer, details of any none standard part/s should be made available for assessment to there eligibility and judged if they are a 'replacement part' or an 'enhancmnent '. Details of all parts 'none' manufacturer will be supplied in writing and made available to the ACU and event organisers prior to competition. Failure to disclose this information will result.......blar, blar, blar
  4. now that we are on the subject of the acu, how about FIM observing rules - come on acu!!! know doubt i've wasted my breath
  5. How come you are wanting to change back to a 2S? Steveo I'd ask the same question, however i have done the 4rt to Gasser change. My reasons: 4rt lacked instant blip power, in the mud it was all or nothing, and it never got me up hills like a 2t. The 4rt isn't a bad bike, not by a long way, it just wasn't the bike for me. That said if Gas Gas make a 300cc+ 4t i'd like to try it and i've never ridden the sherco 4t. Best advise is ride both your 4rt and a Gas Gas back-to-back. You might want to throw in a Sherco 290 2t to the mix, they are also very good bikes and ride similar to a Gas Gas; whereas i find the Beta and Scorpa are similar as a pair.
  6. The norm of how many expert riders an event attracts can sometimes be gauged by a clubs previous years events. As far as i'm aware Sidcup MC is not a club for dangerous sections, but the sections can be very difficult. (hard for me that is). My best advice for the forthcoming Simmons Cup is make the expert route similar to that of the Sidcup 30 expert route. The experts are out there, so its up to the clubs to not go OTT with the sections. I know of one expert who is riding the Simmons apologises to readers this conversation is not encompassing the subject
  7. On one level the combine are right, there is a desperate need for more classes, the standard 3 class system is woefully inadequate. On the other it isn't, last i herd we've got one expert entered for our combine trial - why bother setting the route out ??? (OK there are expert B's). there are people like derek baker who ride novice yet are too good but enjoy the ride but don't want to go up (ie they are clubman). i don't pretend to know the answer, there are so many permutations its really impossible to work out really and strike any real balance cheers - lot of work goes into it and im glad it paid off Last NKTC event the largest number of riders in a given class was Experts....not that i'm moaning its just last year every bugger rode inter or exp b (say as me) and now ever bugger is riding expert whats that all about.
  8. Rabie, have you seen the minutes from this months NKTC?....quickly, we have a new Intermediate B class!! This is for a novice rider who is a little to good to ride novice route, but not good enough to ride Intermediate route. if i had my way there would be less classes. a little bit of my history: started riding in 2000 as novice never won a trial but moved up to Intermediate route and was losing 150marks per trial - a couple of years on I won the class. moved up to expert b but seemed a waste of time so mid-season went to experts and am now losing 100+ marks per trial. i've size some way to go with where i want to be but as the saying goes "i'm getting there" Had a good practise ride up the heights, well done with the sections

    4rt 280 Or 260

can't see the point of the 260cc nor the 280, sure they will make a difference, but how much instant blip power at low revs would you get from them
  10. wish list is the new Cabs. if the 07 raga is no better than my 05

    '04 Raga 300

i've the 05 raga. in the mud my bike has pulled 5th gear (done it for a laugh) and believe me nothing i've ever ridden can match this - i ride in kent the land of mud.
  12. I know how the South Eastern Team's done. Adult: 1st Youth: 8th Sidecar: 2nd ....will have more results when they are sent to me. This may be of interest i have a few photos of the trial (approx one thousand!!!) so chances are when i post them on trials info you'll see most riders....just sorting through the photos now..... there are a lot which are a little dark because the trial was held in a wood land

    Sidcup 30

democracy what are you on?....Did Tony Blair listen to the British public before he declared war on Iraq. Did he both to listen to the concerns of students and their tuition fee's. Did he listen to Fox Hunters..... democracy rules, yes, but only for the main man, which unfortunaely appears not be ye old bean! What's really dissappionting is i was looking forward to the Sidcup 30 and practising my hopping and then having an debait with you about TSR22 i'm so disappointed

practise day then? (see your email)
  17. Did they come equiped with a silver spoon
  18. what a pile of crap. have those wheels been painted with nail paint and the exhaust ...o dear, they forgot to mention its about to blow, and the chain a sprocket are optional.
  19. Thanks for the report Woody. If any of you have the chance to ride the Scorpa 4t in muddy conditions could you post your findings, I found my 4rt lost traction in the mud. However, i did find after some time of ownership if i lent 'far' back it would gain traction - but leaning back going up a steep climb is not for me. This is worth a mention, the Scorpa 4t has a Yamaha engine which i'm 99% sure will be built proof and on par with the 4rt. I agreed the comments about the graffics, it could do with a little bit more sparkle in the visual department. Is the price known yet? Changing the subject at little: I was talking to a rider the other day about 4t's and he mentioned there is a tune kit for the 4rt, it costs about
