The bidders are regulars to Sotherby's.

Mines so fast and powerful i've added a full race fairing and done a track day on it - even renamed the 'Raga Racer'
Being serious; power is good, I retained the fast action throttle but changed it to alloy. No flywheel weight or head spacer alterations. For me the bike doesn't need them and standard is a very good set up.

Now that's what you call a SCOOP!!
If Frexia moves to Scorpa who's gets his ride at Montesa?... Fajardo may be, or even.... wait for it.... Raga!! I thought i read somewhere that Dougie signed a two year deal with Montesa last year - might be wrong. What about the 4t's of Sherco and Scorpa for 2006. Could Graham be switching to the 320 4t, or Cabs. Nozaki riding Scorpa 4t.
Anyone willing to speculate on Bou being World Champion in a couple of years time, that guy was frighteningly good at Hawkstone Park GP.

Interesting analysis. Doesn't the crf250 (MX bike) have a twin exhaust system -Honda could have been messing? Were there any mark/stains around the crutch area? Where did you hear about the Scorpa bid for Dougie? Do you have any further info?

I've found the Fantic to lack power, but never ridden the Beta Zero.

Just had a look at my bars. The castings and joints look up to the job. Therefore I can see only two reasons for the clamp problem. 1) The bars were sitting oddly in the clamps when they were tightened down and so moved 2) The bars were fitted correctly, but were not tightened down properly.
I'd go for the second reason.... just thought of another reason... Could it be a foreign object got trapped when the bars were being fitted/adjusted.
Perhaps all concerns with these clamps should be expressed to Gas Gas directly. This could be a very serious problem if the clamps are found to be duff. I'm thinking of riders entering the SSDT or road based trials and the clamps breaking whilst the rider is travelling at speed.

colour film or bikes.....
I wouldn't be surprised if that Bultaco went to Spain for some serious money. I also think about

I've raised the beautiful standard bars on my Raga Rep by 1 1/4". click me. For me the standard bar were to low, but because the standard bars look so damn sexy I just had to retain them - that's a first for me. R2W (hello mate) is putting rumours about that the standard bars are naff and fail when they do not! Its jealousy that drives R2W to make these WILD and OUTRAGOUS STATEMENTS cos he hasn't got a pair . I could name quite a few riders who's Rental Bars have failed, but can name zero 05 Gas Gas owners who have had bar failure.
Physco, is the power on the 280 smooth and progresive like on the 300?

amazing what 20 years of development can produce.

My first bike was a Bultaco 350. I bought it in the mid eighties when i was not even a teenager. I remember it being very powerful bike (don't laugh). I used to be able to hook by legs over the bars a pulls wheelies in third and forth gears. It was a complete animal to ride slowly and came off an outfit unit. I has always wondered what tuning kits there are for Bultaco 350?
The bike advertised is in exceptional condition i'm very tempted to bid.

Blimming eek!! Total madness, the trophy hunters are in the Pre65 class, i find this so hard to believe men of their ages. I'm not doubting you Woody its just....madness. This can't be right! I was toying with the idea of buying a twin-shock, now i'll hang onto my Gas Gas Raga Rep for a few years and fit twin suspension.

How did your ride in France go?

A friend of mine suggested Blur, great track but just didn't fit the vid right.
Thanks for the other suggetions, half of which I have never heard of - i'll check them out.
Thanks for the nice comments about the riding, I haven't got much footage of my riding so was chuffed when I came across this footage from 1992.
Nice to see you video spud, flawless !
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Thanks Steve. It was my first attempt at something different with editing camera footage, I used a digital camera, Nikon 5400.
You ride really well, a lot better then me, and the way you move the Aprilia around is amazing!
Good luck with the video.

I assume the Merlin company is no more. I've never heard of this company and their bikes look very competitive for that period of time. Not that this is i very important, why did the company go bust? (if they did)

Styling is a matter of opinion, but build quality and performance are not. I've won my centre championship title on the 04 Sherco 2.9 and that bike was a delight to work on, and when it was sold it, it held its money and looked as good as new. I like the look of the 06-bike range and with Cabs input the 2.9 will be a right good tool at all levels of rider ability.
I'm not sure why you don't like look of the bike. Perhaps its because it no longer has so much chroming as the 05 machine? I wonder how an Electra Glide would do at the SSDT compared to the 320 4t Sherco? I do like Harley's but would never buy one i don't like their performance, price and i'm not ready for the pipe and slippers - that's my opionion.
