  1. The bike wasn't dumped if this is your question, but then saying that what's the best thing for a twin-shock if not dumping? And seeing as no twin-shock riders are alive anymore and if they were the word 'computer' is a swear word, its okay for me to say, " dump a twin-shock" perhaps there should be a national twin-shock dumping day - only joking. hopefully them twin-shockers will not be reading this.... ....got me dates slightly wrong, the photo was taken 22/5/05 and not 15/5/05. the funny thing about this whole incident was the rider popped down to the stream to clean the bike off and whilst riding the unchartered parts of the stream the inevitable happens and bobs-your-uncle the bike goes aqua. He left the bike and ran back across a field shouting "ME BIKE, ME BIKE!!". everyone was very serious and not laughing when we got to the stream, although the words 'splitting ones sides' would be best decribed to say what everyone done when they see the bike submerged
  2. aqua bike happened 15/5/05... whats the brand, year, model and water carrying potential in gallons... hehehe retrieve vid and more pics on site
  3. The restrictor is a sleeve that is loose fitting inside the exhaust pipe, when its removed the pipe will fit back on with no visable gasket. The removal of ALL the restrictors will have an undisirable effect of making your bike very loud. If its just the front exhaust pipe restrictor which has been removed your bike should not be excessively noisy. Should you be interested, you will find another restrictor between where the front pipe meets the centre box and one on the end cap of the muffler. I recommend you keep the other two in place especially the end cap.

had a chat with the dealer, he said the carb is very different from the 04 Raga and best wait to see what is runs like after its run in. mentioned all the other area's so far discussed and he agreed. however, the 05 Raga is noticable better quality than the previous, but the air box will be addressed for sealing. the flywheel case being plastic is virtual impossible to seal and sealant is what's been quoted with a splash of wd40. is there a colour code for the red used on the bike, when the wheels are powder coated red a code or the name of the red would be really handy to know?

    Fat Handlebar...

agree with the kill switch location. the scorpa set up (with pad) is more to my taste. yours does look smart thou and i've no belly to haul around.
  7. not tired it myself but your not the first person to ask this question. no doubt andy will help you and perhaps a (spoon feeding guide) is needed for this regualar question keep rearing its head

Any suggestions on where i can obtain a quality sealant and which brand is best? Point taken about the WD40. Is there no way the case can be sealed to prevent water entering? Someone said the bike will have a unique number to itemise it in the production run - wow i wonder if it will be 007 Just so when i return to this post i need: 1) 45 jet for the carb 2) A can of WD40 3) decend kill switch 4) mud flap kit 5) air box sealant 6) and most importantly the wheel rims powder coated run ( a la Steve Colley)

R2W are you trying to mimic a below average rider leg waving for balance?.... I know you want to be the first trials rider to be pictured doing a Mexican wave whilst riding a bike... No, its definitely to much power and no extra brownie points for looking like a piece of rag blowing in the wind on a washing line... I offer a solution, buy a 80cc down bore kit for the GG.

I see an 05 Raga Rep on Sunday and it has some kind Nitro Ox button on the handlebars. Something to do with weather you switch it to winter or summer depending on how you feel on the day. bike looks very light and that magnesium stuff really looks the part, a lot better than the standard swing arm and casings don't you think r2w? I've been told its got a kelvin (?) carb, some good make apparently. anyway just to say r2w looks like you've something to aim for in your ever changing GG. and try a look where you going when your rock hopping - such a show off
  12. r2w, been looking at your bike on page 9 and its looks better than new. if i say you appear to be the man to talk about the GG range its from my readings of your comments on this forum. i'm buying a new 2005 300 RR and would like to now if there are areas of the bike i should be looking at before the first ride? ie engine bay, chassis, air system, suspension etc... any advise would be really appreciated. nearly forget to say i'm having the wheel rims powder coated red just like steve colley's, o yes!!.... pic to follow of my soon to be sparkling new GG as soon as santa deliveries the bike

  14. The mean green Italjet don't we all won't to own one.
  15. Dabster, was there ever a water-cooled italjet? I seem to remember an italjet, which was a bit of a special some 15-20 years having a water-cooled 250 engine. I

    Scorpa Uk

go ahead sprout the beans what have you heard Vinnie can he sell 3 times more bikes, website, bettering martin's customer service.... these points have been raised and none of them by me.....my own experiences of martin are as i said, first class. do you think it was a good thing martin lost the importership? what can birkett bring to the table that martin hadn't already done so? will the scorpa brand see higher level's of sales in the uk under the birkett banner.... what about advertising, rider sponsorship, parts, customer service - these points really stem from the above question, what can birkett do to enhance the scorpa name and better martin. best of luck to birkett for taking this very courageous step - blimming courageous that's what i say.

    Scorpa Uk

I wonder what Martin Crosswaite is up too?..... his customer service was first class... no idea if nigel is as good an importer as martin i no longer own a scorpa bike..... judging by the comments on TC nigel has got a big job ahead of him and the anti-vibes i can on hazard the guess there is truth behind what's been said.

i'll think your find the SSDT admin staff say there was a slight admin error- he has had 5 today (officially). jarvis has lost 3 marks today. Anyone know about connor?
  21. the sea sections the look mad!!!
  22. from my understanding doug's 4rt (this is not 100% the gospel) is a 300cc capacity. the engine has been moved up and backwards in the chassis and there are lots of very lighter weight componants. to take on raga's gg it would need all of the above and no doubt more - my wildest guess is doug's bike hits the scales some 2-3kg less than the standard 4rt, but is still noticable heavier than raga's bike.
  23. i'm considering buying the raga 300, is the build quality the same as the standard pro?
  24. Bad points: as per Hillary, slippery conditions (mud) but only when leaning forward. keep your weight over the rear and it'll lift the front end in deepest of mud. gearing to high Good points: Front end is so neutral, loads of confidence, standard clutch works fine for me, brakes, suspension, smooth running, lots of power. can be ridden like a 2-stroke - best using the bottom end power. Bad points for Montesa/HRC: i've stopped visiting my local dealer the bike will last for 10 years without braking. Good points for Montesa/HRC: quality product
