  1. I'm at a loss why Octagon chooses countries who don't have any World Round Riders. Also, why do they use countries who would appear to say yes to the money demands of Octagon and when the said country finds out that there is not a lot of interest in the sport they say no to Octagon. Correct me if i'm wrong but if you've riders competing from Europe, America, Autralia, Japan etc.. perhaps they should host the Indoor events at these countries because they've got people riding trials bikes and thus the interest in the sport. I remember an indoor event in Dubai, the staduim was empty, but i guess an oil barron paid lots of money and yes its all about money and not the sport. Anyone remember Gerorge Bush being asked a question on world leaders names? I'd be interested in a similar question to Octagon about the top world riders.

    Erzberg Rodeo

Not been but seen the awesome event on tv. You've got to be nuts to think about riding it, there was 1300 entered and only 21 finished; barking mad the lot of them. With only 500 making qualifing these are serioulsly talented riders and very quick. Then there's the bike, looking at the 21 finishers the general concenus is a 2-stroke and the chances are its going to be a 300cc. The course looked good enough for proper trials sections and the hills were just crazy, mega crashes, totally mad riders....now where can i find
  3. Come people we all know its not a factory bike! 1) GASGAS 4st 100cc special 2) Air cooled 100cc engine 3) old chassis 4) coloured wheels
  4. looks to me like an 04 chassis.
  5. OK smarty, here are the bikes I like........how old am I. Modern Beta are the best looking sculpted looking bikes I have ever seen. The old down tube style just doesn't do it for me any more. 2001 Beta (love the blue) 2006 Beta (love the black) Twin Shock 1980 Model 199 Bultaco Sherpa T 350 (Black on blue look I find eye catching) Kawasaki KT, Italjet & the OSSA Plonker in Green .....I have a thing for green bikes. The older bikes like Greeves with the leading link front suspension, heavy I imagine, but I alsways thought that suspension system was so cool. 40 - 45?
  6. You lot don't know that by answering this topic your giving away your age, your choice of bike denotes your era, which in turn denotes your age. If your 40+ then you'll most probably like the British bikes, but if you below 40 then its either twin-shocks or the early moderns. Me i like the TYZ, so hands up who's a grandad
  7. I'm not sure why i feel disappointed Raga is leading the championship. As for Bou, if it were me i'd be looking at the mechanics and seeing which one is up to be FIRED!!.... would take his mind off the ride if he went on a witch hunt . Assuming Bou didn't suffer any injure he'll be on top next round mark my words. The rules i'm not bothered about, all riders are in the same boat and to me its fair, so stop whinning about them
  8. Would also be nice to see Sam Connor riding again, he's on top form! I'll be watching to see how the likes of Dabill, Taddy, Morris do with the return of Jarvis and Kuroyama. Could Dabill etc ... have had an unexpected good result last year because Jarvis and Kuroyama were not riding? When can Wigg, Haslam and Danby ride WTC? and what of these guy's for 2007.
  9. top rider and very talented, thumbs up from me
  10. Fantastic news well done Bou and Montesa. Any news on Doug and Fuji?
  11. I'm five miles along the road and offered already....but you turned your nose up, so bugger ya, you can stuff your own envelopes. what a meanie
  12. i've been known to catch a trout on a friday
  13. One point which may have been missed was the police in there checks might have being looking for stolen machines. Shouldn't the centre's or the ACU be building bridges with us and the police, it wouldn't hurt for our own governing body to take the lead and show the police what a trials bike is all about? I'm in favour of what the police done at this event and anyone who got caught more fool you. I pay a lot of money to insure my bike and road tax it, so i've not a bad word for the police. I also don't like the way its being expressed the police are the bad guys on this thread, they are only doing there jobs.
  14. Agree with AtomAnt Also the starter official (if riders sign on on the day) could note insurance, licence, number plate, tax disc details before a rider sets off. This may deter those riders thinking they can make a false number plates (if this has been done) and other dodgy stuff to make them appear legal. As for the guy who complained, weren't there any signs up to say the event was running, and i'd be interested to know what the police reported back to him (if they did). I can understand his point if you had bikes flying past his home with riders standing up and mud flying off the bikes, think about it it would be cause for concern. A thought; why not the organisers if they are running bikes near houses they drop a leaflet to the home owner and post something at the village hall notice board.

    Cig Lighter?

My guess is its something to do with the way cow boys used there cigarette lighters. 1) take lighter out of pocket 2) open lid/cap 3) strike 4) light cigarette.....really lost too.....and these 4 points mean 4-stroke, which lights up when started....really really lost now.
  16. CT no problems with the posts from me. Might be all the excitment from Bou winning Toni Bou Wins I'm totally gob-smacked, the talk of the 4rt being the under-dog is shall i say not founded anymore. Are we looking at a rider so far ahead of his times he makes the 4rt (could be any bike) do things no one other rider can do. What a win and what a rider, HRC must have given him a bonus
  17. CK would be over come with attention if he paid a visit Astoria:Well Hello bearing his suit and the brown stain, straight in the
  18. For my money Haslam is one the best riders this country has! I'd like to see him ride a full season against that totally amazing rider Wigg, because with Haslam's smooth riding he'll be there challenging Wigg for the Junior title 2007, and not forgetting Danby, God in the mud he's unbeatable on the slppery stuff, so for me 2008 will see the big three T it off - place your bets. The best of luck to Haslam the Scorpa will suit him well and having Joe Baker along side there will be some good ride off's

    Scorpa Sy250-anygood?

Man, that 4stroke looks the best of all the 4 bangers (even the new rev!) how many are out there I wonder? don't seem to hear that much about them........lovely looking machine Most probably become a rare beast and sort after in a few years time. By then the newer model will be out but the first one is always best. Thought that of the sy the first silver and grey sy looks beatuiful
  20. on a cjb video one commentator said the 4rt is not competitive in indoors because the waythe 4rt delivers its power. my view is ,because of the way the power is delivered ,its smoother than a 2t and less likely to spin, plus theres more torque, for my money the 4t engine is better bad news is i sold my 4rt

    Scorpa Sy250-anygood?

I used to have the 2003. I like the look of the new 4t and hopefully someone will buy one locally so i can feast at it. I've seen the 05 Sherco 4t being ridden good bike, but the guy did have problems starting it. YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE rates the new Scorpa 4t so from a none owners point of view the bike appears to be a winner.
