  1. Well said, I also know the time and effort that Becky Cook puts into her riding. She finnished second in Hobol and is the no3 in the world but knowone seems to care, So well done Jack & Becky.
  2. Has anyone got any results from the European Youth/Ladies trial in Hobol this weekend?
  3. Go to IOWMCC.com standard entry fourm will be OK.
  4. Great trial again by KYTC, just a shame it was spoilt by Adalf Hitler who was observing on section one, and is apparently well known for upsetting everyone. It is getting to the point where riders need to ask each observer how they can ride each section now, hoping or no hoping, at British championship level all sections should be marked the same. Section 10 at this trial could only be ridden by moving the back wheel sideways which was aloud, but if you did the same on section one it was an instant 5, so the riders don,t know where they stand. While appreciating the time and considerable effort it takes to but on such a great trial as this one, it's a shame it was spoilt by the attitued and none common sense approch of one obsever.
  5. Graham, Ole & his minder etc and all the Sherco team have spent the last three days training the young MRS Sherco riders, and everyone is having a great time aparently. At least Sherco seem to try and put something back into the sport which is good to see. I've also heard that i will need to order a new exhaust & rear mud guard from aniti Roda when the distructive little brat gets home.
  6. The way the Atom rides is different from everyone, allmost old school, like don't go round it, just hit it and go over it just like Bou . He will do well in the top class, and if he rides like his second lap at Hawkstone he'l be in the top 10. Makes you proud to be British.
  7. Sam Haslam was back on a Gas Gas at Hawkstone, thought he was with Scorpa so don't know what happened there.
  8. Out practising with Becky & Chris in the pouring rain till dark last night, had a great time, now ready for the weekend. Better than watching the s**t they have on TV these days.
  9. As for the riders being signed off before riding section 12 it appears to have been a "common Sense" move that was initiated by the person signing people off. They did this because of the queues at 12 but I understand that some riders may have taken advantage and gone to 12 and then back to complete sections. I'm not commenting further on this as I didn't see it but if true it makes a mockery of the "time limit". It is true, it did happen, but if that person made that "common sense" move, why did they not tell every rider who was asking for a five to get inside the time. Only the C of course can make such a move, (if the ACU steward agree's) and then every rider should be aware of the rule change, it is not fare to change the rules of the trial half way through the event without informing every competitor. The fact remains that because my son & other riders rode three laps of 12 sections as per the rules, they came home with nothing, while those who missed sections and got signed of before they had realy finnished scored points and that do,nt seem fair.
  10. A good trial as always in Wales, but i hope all those who cheated thier way in to the results are pleased with themselves. I thought you finished the trial after you rode the last section, and not before you rode it. Some riders got signed off to stop the clock, and then rode the last section. It was a bit disappointing as we attempted every section on every lap, and then took a five on the easy last section just to get inside the time. Some riders jumped sections and then got signed off and then rode the last sections, if the ACU rules were inforced those riders could face elimination. Is it not time to loose more than 5 for not attempting a section at national level? Several A class riders take for ever to do the first lap, and then think they have a god given wright to musel thier way in front of the smaller B class lads when they find that time is running out. It was a bloody good trial just spoilt by the selfish attitued of a handfull of riders.
  11. Full results from this weekends Ladies and the C/D round on the IOW are now on the clubs web site www.iowmcc.com Well done to all the winners and thanks to everyone for coming.
  12. Yes go to the clubs web site www.iowmcc.com results should be on front page also check out photo Gallery soon.
  13. Our local TV station ran a excellent review of the Isle of Wight two day, and trials in general on Monday 30 April on thier evening programe called Solent tonight, if you go on thier web site www.solent.tv you can watch the video, the review is near the end of the programe. The good news for us is that they want more, so they will be covering our ladies & C/D nationals on 19/20 may.
  14. As C of course i look forward to any comments about this trial good or bad, day one was made easy so that eveyone could get through to day two. The second day was ment to be a bit harder but Ryan laughton age 11 did his first lap of 15 C route sections for 5, while Chris Stay (youth had a last lap of 3 on the B route. You can't please eveyone but we do try, after all this was a centre championship trial. Hope to see you all again next year. Results now on www.iowmcc.com
  15. This must be one of the best trials in the world, everything from the organisation to the sections, the food, drink, the people etc etc, a great weekend for the British with Wiggy, James Graham, Josh stephens, Tom Sands, George Gosden, & Chris Stay all coming home with awards. And to top it all Wiggy out rode Oliveras, Gibera, & Mark Frexa in the Open free trial. They may have beaten him because they were on 300cc bikes but Alexz out rode then on the rest of the sections and i have it on my dvd to prove it. Alexz is the cream of British trials and cream always comes to the top. Look out Spain the new generation of Brits are coming, but thanks again for a great trial.
  16. Looks like most of the UK trials population are riding in Spain over Easter, were off to the Santagosa 3 day where UK riders include Wiggy, Alan Ayres, James Graham, Tom Sands, Josh Stephens , George Gosden, Chris Stay, while Becky Cook & most the top UK ladies will be in Morella. So who else will be heading south over Easter ?
  17. Yes so drive 850 miles to do 2 laps 12 sections or 630 miles to do 3 days of 30 sections per day, in what is one of the most senic parts of Spain and one of the most popular trials in Europe. (no contest)

    Iow 2day

As i will be the C of Course this year, it will be a riders trial with sections to suit everyone from club novice to centre expert, and day one will be much eaiser than last year .
  19. Has anyone any information about the santigosa 3 day as we are about to enter this trial. How hard would the three routes be compaired to a British youth national etc. and any other tips. Grasias.
  20. OK so round two of the British youth A/B championships Sunday and i think it's all about who will come second to the JLI Beta UK boy's Challoner & Sheppard. Youth B must have MRS team member Richard Sadler looking to push Sheppard all the way but as for A class, who know's I think that the team Gas Gas UK riders had a Sh*t day at Dod park and will come to Cheadle full of fire & venom and out to make a point. The only twist in the tail is the fact that the Cheadle round has a reputation for being an easy trial and at easy trials mistakes pay dear. Anyway at 10am Sunday the Bull Sh*t will stop, and Five & half hour later we will see who's boss.
  21. Fact.... My son rode and won British C class championship for JL Beta in 2006. JL phoned me, and thanked us for winnning and asked if he could help us in 07. I had to tell him that we were moving to MRS Sherco for 07. At Dod park A/B round JL spoke to me and Chris as if we were still part of the team. I have the upmost respect for the Lampkin family, and anyone who thinks othewise is someone outside of the real world of trials and who's comments are not worth a fart. Allways think of the people who help you on the way up, co's on the way down you mite need then.
  22. An interesting question is (could he have done it on a Beta ) The amazing part of this victory is the fact that he only started riding the 4rt on Jan 1st, to adapt to a different bike and win a world crown in less than 3 months is truly amazing What will Bou's world crown spell for the greatest British trials rider ever?
  23. You seem to have forgot the lads from Wales, Jake Evans Luker, Alister Bedford, & Joel Edwards.
  24. We have booked up for the Euro youth round on July 22 near lake Como, ferries, flights, hotel, car hire the lot. You can get some good hotel deals by going on Grand med hotels web site. You can fly cheap from Gatwick on Easyjet, and Dover, Calais, return cost
  25. Any news from WITC No3 in Marseille, has the new king of trial done it again?
