  1. Great result from Alexz but this is a championship and there is a long way to go, the 20 points are more important than the win.
  2. Well done Alexz, is this the result of the off bike training or just a good day, whatever , it,s history . Next week is more important now so good luck mate.
  3. Just got result 1 Alexz Wigg 68 2 Wayne Holdsworth 125 3 Jack Ayres 143 4 Lee Haydon 152 5 Brian frances 185 Inter 1 Ross Haydon 145 2 Andy Bush 151 3 Rory Stephens 171 Novice 1 John Read 77 2 Martin Banfield 86 3 Kevin Percy 104 Youth B 1 Josh Stephens 115 2 Jack Tompson 118 3 Tom Sands 119 4 Alan Ayres 128 5 Tom Douglas 150 6 Chris Stay 166 Youth C 1 Ryan Laughton 132 2 Adrian Hoare 133 3 Nick Read 154
  4. Hard first day due to rain on sections set out in dry. Not sure of score but looks like Wiggy leading on around 60. top youth B riders Tompson, Stephens, Ayres, & Sands all around 100 plus, with youth C rider Chris Stay just behind on about 120.
  5. Phone red funnel on 0870 444 8898 and give the account number CIwmo1 or just ask for the special rates for the IOWMCC events. I have found out that you can't get the cheep rates on line, only by phone. Hoping to have 3 laps of 15 on Sunday plus 3 laps of 2 MEGA sections for the A route riders to finnish. Will have the graded hill bigger this year
  6. Word is that the BIGGEST names in youth trials at the moment have entered in both A.B.& C class
  7. Just like to Say that it was a bloody good trial, well organised, but those wire flags had both Chris at the end of section 9 last lap on flat ground, and George on section 5 on lap one. Both feet up clean rides, but 5 for touching flag. Well done to Luke for his last under pressure lap of 9, good to see Jack win his first C class and well done Joel. See you all at Y.M.S.A. Sunday
  8. A friend of mine owned a bike shop and when they stopped production in 1984 retail was
  9. As youth riders in Europ are now staying on the 80cc bikes longer than the UK, and the A.C.U. are trying to fall in line with the FIM etc. Would it not be possible to introduce a 80cc class into the youth B British championships from 2007. All youth C riders will be on the 80cc bikes and all youth A riders will be on 125, so there will be less class's anyway. The youth B is the biggest class in the championships so why not introduce a youth B 80cc class as well as the 125. Some of the smaller lads find the jump to 125 a bit much, so introducing a 80 class would help them get used to the harder sections on a bike they could handle before making the jump to 125. John Collins, your thought's
  10. You can't beat cheat's and a lot of that was going on. IE if your handlebars hit the ground that's a five, unless your French of course.
  11. Becky fifth. Sanz. Kramer Bertrine ? Becky
  12. Even more top riders coming this is going to be good, expert course will be intresting too.
  13. Looks like the B class will have some of the current top ten in the UK, could be a intresting weekend
  14. Kent youth A/B is in June, not May.
  15. I don't have the entry list but i know that Tom Sands, the Varnys, the Heans,& the Hancocks from west country are coming. Plus Josh, Will, Becky, Chris & George, and of course team Alan Ayres. Also the nutters.. Nobby sidecar Nolan and about 15 other sidecars and maybe Dave Luscombe.
  16. Just to let you all know that this years IOW two day trial on May 6/7 is filling up fast. Over 60 entered already with about 3 weeks left to enter, as its limited to 150 i'd get in soon or you may miss out. Trial will be organised by same team as did last years youth nationals, and this years ladies round so you know it will be good, some well known youth riders have already entered.
  17. I guess it's no real secret and will be talked about anyway. My understanding is - He broke the swinging arm on his bike, tried to swap to a different bike and got busted for it. Naughty, but the other riders said they'd have done exactly the same thing. One of those things. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So why did'nt they just change the swinging arm over, or was'nt there enough time.
  18. Set up by the Ex Sec of the IOWMCC because no one agreed with thier views they left and set up thier own club. Nothing to do with the team who organised last years youth nationals and the ladies British championship. The IOWMCC will continue to orgainse top class trials for their own and mainland competitors who will be treated with respect. Becky Cook (ladies British champion) Will West, youth A. Josh stephens,& Sam Ryan,(Youth and George Gosden & Chris Stay ( youth C ) are proud to be and will always be members of the IOWMCC. So get your entries in for this years IOW 2 day trial on May 6/7, because its filling up fast.
  19. Think of it in a different way. If you were the boss of Honda Montesa, and your two team riders were getting towards the end of thier world championship days, who would you want to replace them, bearing in mind that money was'nt a problem.
  20. At last Saturdays C/D round most of the top lads took over an hour at first section, but everyone finished well inside the 5hr time limit. That was 55 riders 3 laps of 12 sections,it seems that everyone takes thier time on the first lap and then just gets on with it.
  21. Maybe there should be an appeal system put in place so that if there is a hold up through a rider being hurt in a section or any unforseen incident, then time can be added on at the discretion of the C of course & ACU steward, as happened in last years scott.
  22. Excellent trial, thanks to everyone involved, specialy the observers for standing out in the driving rain all day
  23. as iow

    Otter Vale

I'am wrong, the youth A/B national trials should be open to everyone except novice's, maybe that would work.
