    beta 2010

Just like to say m8 mega bike i have the same and love it ! I dont take carb off all the time m8, before each trial take the draain bolt out the bottom, can still do this with carb on, nearly everytime you will find a blob of water in it then maybe every 3rd trial take carb out and give a good clean, its recomended that you clean them out as the are a carb that easily soon stops running right, if you go on beter uk website when you take carb apart will show you how to set them up. It sounds to me like needs setting up as mine did exactly the same to i set it up and if it doesnt give good clean out and that should do it. I find on my evo nevermind how you clean them will still get the tinyest bit of p.water in the carb and only 5 second job to take bolt out the bottom. p.s easy way to get carb off thake air box off, only 4 allen key bolts when mudguard off then with this off you can give the air box a good clean inside and also allcan get to clean inside of exhaust e.t.c with it off and makes it 100 times easyer to get carb off
  5. yea sounds good m8 you will feel condifent once you get balanced and will help alot
  6. Also as last post trials school are good idea steve saunders holds good ones
  7. Good club, dont know if you from that area but Tong can practise there on certain days, get trials training dvd think they still do it gives you good tips, i started going up small hills and worked up to bigger hills, balance is the key go in garage and try to balance, front wheel in lock when doing it to help you dont even need bike running, when a started i got some pegs and and put them randomly good to get hang of turns and feel of the bike and just work your way up, small rocks and work your way up will take some time but start small and get bigger you will sonn have confidence hope this helps
  8. av got some on ma 2010 evo to red beta racing ones, had them on a long time and still look like new, clean rim well before putting on i.e break cleaner or something similar, i heated rim slightly, stook them on then finished them off with heat agai just warm them up whilst rubbing them down jently leave for a bit then will be fine, they are good quality so seem to stop on well, did a trial last weekend and the guy had red beta ones with black round the rim looked different but gud. Clean mine the same as before with jet wash e.t.c, tend to use the jet wash on like the fan jet insted on the direct high power jet just to make sure doesnt start peeling them off but have been fine all time been on
  9. try them first different makes fit different just go for best fit may have to pay more but protects in crash
  10. Thanks m8 best get saved up then he he
  11. Hi all Been having a problem with the forks on my 2010 evo bought it at a few months old and not until riding it noticed that on the fork that goes into your tripple clamps ( inner fork ) has a slight dent in it, can just feel it, replaced seals to see how it goes and was ok for short time now leaking badly from fork seal. Does any one know if there is anyone out there that would repair it??? Have been told liquid metal and smooth it down or even super glue drop into dent and let dry and smooth with wet and dry. Any ideas know how much the new forks are
  12. Hi all just woundering if any one can help or has had anything similar. Got a 2010 evo fork seals been leaking so had them replaced thinking it was the seal, went for a quick ride on it and think it must be the fork leg as it has a scuff/ slight dent you can feel on it due to previous owner befor i had the bike must of fell off. Can this be repaired or is it case of ner forks? any help please
  13. Best method i find take old ones off, knife, clean bar ends where grips going on with a spray of break cleaner, quick spray of break cleaner in new grips, and on bar end, push new grip on easly goes on job done, leave for few hours, grips tighten break cleaner evaporates another method take old ones off get grip started and with a airline blow in the grip whilst pushing go straight on
  14. Yea mine was exactl the same then rewed the pistons and seals, pads, and new disk and was ok plenty of play in the brake and just seems to of gone the same again, its like the pads are allways are to close to disk
  15. Hi all has anyone else had this problem: got a 2010 290 beta evo, after couple of trials back brake was binding causing it to lock on and ended up melting seals e.t.c. had all of the pistons e.t.c replaced and has been ok had play in brake to. Just been in garden on it and seems as its trailing again, if you spin wheel can hear it binding play in back brake doesnt seem to be there anymore, dont want to ride it again and end up having to replace pistons e.t.c again any help please;
  16. Yes that is true about the coolant eating it away, had same problem on my rev3
  17. Easy job m8 just done it on my beta evo. Just drain the coolant thro the small screw on waterpump, take out the 3 bolts that hold waterpump on then just pull it away from casing, i put a cable tie thro one of the holes up to exhaust just to hold it awan then you can access the spindle, all you have to do is pick the old seal out with a screw driver (small) then replace the seal (thake note wich way seal goes on as the sides are not the same) push seal on, i used a small socket just to push it in correctly, build back up easy make sure seal on waterpump is on correctly that goes on waterpump to casing, use a bit of greese if it falls out just to hold in place bolt back up put screw in for the drain of coolant and fill back up with coolant, you dont even have to remove the hoses on it, give it a good blast about drop oil out and replace with new check coolant again because sometimes drop a little, good point to check breather pipes to make sure they are on and aso egnition cover give it a good spray with wd40, hope this helps
  18. Am 6ft 2" and have kept my bars standard no problems what so ever could suggest tho Steve saunders sells tripple clamps that have a lot of different adjustments on them
  19. Got one fitted on my 290 evo had it on since new but does give it good bottom end power and sounds amazing, really good bit of kit !!
  20. Thank you shall give it a try and check all breathers e.t.c to and see whats happening.
  21. Yea mine is exactly the same m8 i finished washing it today and it literaly ran out of it, dont mind letting it dry and that just supprised how much water they get in. Yea think shall give the seal ago on waterpump
  22. Shall give that a try then steve yea m9s hardly been used 1st thing i thought was waterpump, does yours get water in egnition ???
  23. Hi all woundering if anyone else has had this problem??? I have a 2010 290 evo engine oil been fine, change it after most trials, noticed with new oil in that it turned milkey, as in water with the oil??? has anyone had problems like this? could it be coolant getting in? Help please
  24. I think there the same m8 m9 really soft
  25. go on beta uk m8 website, tells you how to set carb up, float height wants adjusting, m9 did exactly the same need to be spot on to run perfect, if you get stook give lampkins aring there allways help.
