August 8, 201412 yr Here is my twinshock which is stripped down at the moment for restoring, build up coming soon.
August 9, 201412 yr Boost bottles - not much use on a reed valve engine or one with a decent carb. But...on a pre65 with old amal, they can make a difference. I tried on my bantam, did half the trial with it then half the trial without. Without doubt it cleaned up the very low down carburation (bantam are over carbed but this is a nice inexpensive fix). Have fun
August 10, 201412 yr Glad it worked for you , Do you still use it or did you get your carb set up better ? Weren't they supposed to store vacuum to improve low rpm throttle response / help maintain some intake velocity ? Wish I could find a add from back in the day ... Glenn
August 10, 201412 yr Still use it, the carb we have to use doent have as much adjustments as more modern carbs so youre stuck with somethings..
August 17, 201412 yr Very nice smack, I like the before and after pics of the montesa and have always been a fan of the TL's.
August 21, 201412 yr I think I understand the theory behind it, but did it make much difference in practice? i had a boost bottle on my TY250 back in the day....made a huge difference!
