October 12, 201510 yr Hi Gordo, yeah lots of thought..All those years of wondering why builders didn't do it this way or that, and an oppertunity to put my money where my mouth is. The pressure mounts as you get one bit right, to not stuff up the next bit. Makes you think lots and ponder the options before building. You certainly learn heaps.There are some very clued up guys here at trials central that have been great fun talking to about different aspects. I don't have as much spare time as when I started but I'm still making progress (just), and yes I will post results good and bad. I spend a bit of time balancing on it as it has a nice stable feel and is easy to balance on. Can't wait to see how it works dynamically. I suspect it will be finished for new years events, only because of time constraints. Cheers

February 19, 201610 yr A friend is in Kansas today and picked up this beautiful Can-Am 240 for me!!! Will post MANY more photos once it gets here and excited about not only a new project, but a new ride for the upcoming twinshock season!
March 10, 201610 yr My friend took this sweet old bike out for an inaugural ride today and all reports are promising that I will have a HUGE smile on my face in all the sections of next weekend's trials event!!! SO EXCITED!

April 12, 201610 yr LOVING my new ride!!! Got the chance to take it out this weekend after working on lightening the clutch and a host of other small items. Today, I made a front plate and looking forward to some fun riding this season. Even got a comment from a modern trials rider, "This bike is surprising! Really feels like a modern bike!!!" New pegs help and I still am smiling all the way...!
May 11, 201610 yr My new Beta TR 240 The standard bike felt kind of strange. Very short and very high front end, so i lengthened the swing arm by ca. 40mm and shortened the forks by 15mm. Then i also moved the fork up in the yokes about 10mm. Footrests have been moved back and down. Now it is a really nice bike to ride and very competitive. Not missing my Fantic 240 at all!
May 14, 201610 yr My great looking Beamish Suzuki 250 got it 2 weeks ago for £1650, it spent 25 years in a barn in bits, till the guy I bought it off restored her. Once I have had some practice, I'm hoping to do a few trials.
