My kickstart hits my fuel tank on return and generally shakes around a bit and it is starting to mark the tank. Is there anything I can do to fix it, or can I just glue a small patch of rubber to the tank....does the superglue for rubber damage the tank ? What is the centre pop mark for, it looks like it's for a ball bearing to sit in but there's no ball bearing and doesn't look like there was one.

Just a quick question, based on an action I am about to undertake. What sort of money should one spend on buying a privately owned 2003 model Scorpa 250 ? The bike is clean and decent looking.

hi, a friend of mine has recently bought a scorpa sy250 2001 model but it doesn't start and when it finally does it runs rough! What am wanting to know is; The correct fuel air mixture on the carb? how many turns out should the mixture screw have? what spark plug is required for this year bike? What gearbox oil should be in the bike and how much needs to go into it? the clutch is also sticking on this bike but the bike has been stood a year, new fuel has been put into the bike but not the gearbox oil, is this the cause of the sticking clutch? also any other information about the bike to make it run smoothly etc etc would be much appreciated. Cheers!!

Hi, newbie here.I am seeking some advice on the problem I have with my 04 scorpa, it boiled up last time out and spat steam from breather pipe on the rad, bike starts and runs fine.so, I have tested the fan with a 12 volt battery and it spins super fast.also, I bridged the wires to the thermostat(removing it from the equation) and started the bike..this would make the fan run ye??not on my bike, it only turns at a very slow speed and I can stop it with my finger.I think its voltage or current related...it defo gets some but not near enough to cool the bike.coolant level is fine and mixed correctly.also, my headlight stopped working, not checked that at all as yet any advic…

Afternoon all, I am new to the sport and managed to pick up a sherco 290 and a gas gas 280 for cheap. They're both in a bit of a state so I'm considering starting again with a bit of a newer bike. I like the look of scorpa, I especially appreciate the linkage-less back end. The thing which is putting me off a bit though, is that there don't seem to be as many people carrying parts compared with Sherco. What's it like owning a Scorpa in the UK? Is it an additional ballache if something goes wrong? Cheers!

When I am going downhill, the engine revs tend to drop slightly (and it is less responsive) and occasionally it coughs and dies as I open it up. I have the float height set accurately at 18mm. This is not the more common four stroke cough as I have spent a great deal of time optimsing the carb settings. It runs fine on the flat or uphill at low revs and picks up cleanly from low revs without any hesitation. The problem is ONLY when the bike is going down a drop. For your info I have the 17.5 pilot jet. Mine runs best with two turns on the fuel screw (it is sensitive to even a 1/4 turn). I have found that three turns as recomended by others is way too rich. If the bike …

I've owned my '05 SY250 since new and it's done everything I've expected it to do but is getting on a bit now. I am impressed with the Evo 290 and seriously considered getting one, but the cost of the new bike in comparison to any gains in results I might get has made me decide to keep the old Sy and give it a bit of a make over instead and save the money for another time. So I changed the tyres today, the original has not been off since new but being five and a half years old it was way past it's best. I've gone for another Michelin and as you can see from the picture it looks a little better. I've also fitted a new rear IRC but given up on the rim tape and stuck a …
