Hi all, had a cracking ride yesterday . I got an SY250 2005 whithout a side stand and I would like one, fed up of trying to find suitable trees to lean it up to. Where do I go to get one. Phoned Birketts and they wanted what seemed alot of money and they said they are rubbish, so don't want to spend money on rubbish. Tried company on Ebay that says he can supply any new part but never heard back after 2 emails. Is there anywhere that do them cheaper or can an alternative be used or has anyone out there got one they would like to part with? Thanks Steve

Hi, Has anyone on here had the joy of refiiting the SY swingarm? Had a bit of a clart on removing it, especially watching out for the brake pipe. I have noticed it is a rather snug fit against the brake cylinder when trying to reinsert the arm back into the frame. Was thinking if i removed mudguard, rear silencer and middle box along with the airbox, the arm would then fit in better from a more of an above approach. Anyone got any better tips/ideas??? Cheers, Paul

Just had the stator rewound on my 98 scorpa easy, the bike is fine at low revs and in first gear etc, put under load the bike doesnt want to rev out. A mate of mine said that this sounds like something is giving way in the electrics, anyone got any ideas? Just had the stator rewound so can rule that out. Cheers.

Hi, Getting back into trials after 3years of on and off riding. Gave the bike a bit of a service today, but there is one problem iam a little unsure about. Air is leaking from the valve and a couple of spokes (I will try to replace the valve and see if that helps) however some of the rear spokes are really loose. Is it true that you shouldnt 'just' tighten them? If so are there any tips on ensuring the spokes are setup correctly. I could just use slime if I cant fix it this week, but I would rather sort the problem properly if I can. Cheers guys.

I have been toying with the idea of putting a Tyz reed block i have sitting in a draw into my scorpa, i vaguely remember someone telling me that the reed stoppers make the bike i good bit smoother. Has anyone tried this mod?

It looks like Scorpa has started production again check out scorpa.fr for images. The news is that the bike is being built and will be marketed as the 2011 bike, with a 2T sherco engine & a 4T Yamaha engine. I thought that Scorpa were onto a winner producing the 2T bikes with the Yamaha engine but similar to Honda, yamaha are more keen to produce just four stroke engines. I wish Scorpa success, it feels like an exciting time in trials now, we are seeing big steps in innovation. Look forward to reading comments on this Best Wishes Karl Helliwell

Hi, i own a scorpa 250 sy model from new and have found that the clutch action is reasonably heavy. I was woundering if anybody out there knows of a way to make the clutch operation softer (less heavy). Any help would be much appreciated. Regards doudoubikes.

Hi, can anyone tell me how best to check the oil level in the forks. - upon lifting the bike onto the rack at the weekend, I placed my hand under the left fork tube, and got an oily finger ! Don't know how much has come out, probably not much, but thought renewing wouldn't hurt. I have just bought some neoprene fork savers, but haven't fitted them yet, so will be partially removing forks anyway......thought it would make good sense to re-fill now ! Can I just remove the bolt from the base and let it drain out, then refill from the cap at the top to a desired level ( want a measurement, not a capacity ), or is there more to it than this ! I suppose I want a " how to …

Good Evening, I acquired my first trials bike, a 2004 Scorpa 250, two weeks ago. I'm not new to motorcycling, [passed my road test, back in the 60's!], but I am completely new to trials. I always wanted to "have a go" but never did, too busy bringing up children, building dolls house bits for a grand-daughter, and soon will be assembling model railway stuff for the new grand-son. As a widower now, I can please myself a bit more, but now in my 60's, it will be strictly the "Dead Easy" trials for me! I have a question about my Scorpa - it runs fine, and is going for a new rear tyre on Monday, but there seems to be something amiss with the kickstart. It descends ok, pe…
