came to my scorpa today started it up no problem pulled clutch in selected 1 and cluch did't work , yet it was working only 2 week ago when i was out on it , theres no leak and resavour is still full has anyone got any ideas please surpose to be doin a trial tomorrow cheers .

Hi All, I have an 05 sy250 and was wandering if anyone knows what the standard gearing is? Mine seems too low or what do you run? I will be doing mainly clubman trials! Cheers!

I've drained the oil and added 600ml of new. It appears to be over filled as when I remove the level check bot by the brake pedal oil comes out. Will it find the correct capacity if I let oil come out until it stops ? An earler post says not as the engine is mounted at the wrong angle for this to work. Any advice welcome

Have just bought an 04 sy125 which has been sitting in a barn the last 6years and the engine casings and cooling fins have marks on them ,the only way i can describe them is like a tarnish in places ,has anyone else had this problem and if so how to cure or do i just paint it ???? CHEERS

Just a quickie, where is best place to get parts for Scorpa 175 ? I want some decals and engine gasket set, it is a 163cc engine. Thanks I assume it is Birketts but am in Wakefield so wondered if anyone keeps any stock nearer to me.

Anyone know if the 125 - 175 tys 4 strokes , share the same engine or engine parts , as any other yam models , ybr 125 etc ...Thanks

hi there my scorpa is a 01 on the swing arm it has 2x aluminium blocks with groves on it so you can move the rear wheel on the snail cams , the snail cams go up against theses but mine are getting worn now and there's not much you can do with them just wanted to know has anyone made a modification to theses , has anyone else got the same prob or even seen this prob before. ALL HELP CONSIDERED AND WONT BE WASTED!!!!!!!

Hi all I'm thinking of removing the swinging arm from my 07 sy250 just to clean and regrease bearings etc. I would like to know if there are any gotcha's I need to be aware of when doing so. Thanks in advance for your advice. Paul.

Hi all, Has anyone any advice on welding rims, I know it's frowned upon by some but others say it's fine. Ideally I would go and buy myself a shiny new rear rim but thats not an option at the moment as funds have been severely depleted. I decided to buy myself a nice new set of IRCs, removed the old rear tyre and found an innertube....oh joy....need a rimband phoned Birketts, one will be arriving tommorrow, started to clean wheel and found a crack in the outer flange...again..oh joy...ended up finding another 3 cracks. Im gutted, will be trying to weld it but would love some good advice if anyone has any, do I loosen the spokes ? As the previous Vee Rubber had an inn…

hi there i have a 2001 scorpa i noticed that it is quite smokey when riding , i have recently changed the piston , rings , bearing and gasket so i have alittle more 2 stroke oil in at the moment , but i have noticed that gas gas dont produce hardly any smoke at all any help will be great on how to reduce this smog when riding cheers james

Just stripped the swing arm on my 07 SY250 and one of the bearings is totally rusted, some of the needle rollers dropped out as I tapped the bush out. So is there anything to watch out for when removing the bush from the swing arm, or replacing them? Will they tap out or do they need pressing out? any advice appreciated Cheers Mike

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and new to scorpas. I have an 05 SY250 I want to change my gearbox oil. I see there is a main drain plug on the bottom 12mm and a small level check on the brake pedal side. but what is the other drain plug on the under the gear lever? Also how much oil should I put with 5 litres of fuel. Thanks.

Hello i can buy a brand new Scorpa Sy250fr for a verry low price (2008 model). I now ride a Rev 3 2 stroke but would like to change to 4-stroke. Is there someone who have experience with the 4-stroke scorpa? Greathings Luc The belgium rider.

I'm ging to look at a 2008 SY250 for a friend which I'm happy to do but not sure how to date the machine. Is there something on the '08's which I can ident it by? It's in a dealers and up for 2.2k which seems a bit heavy to me as well..

My scorpa has decided to come up with another problem its horsing out gear oil from breather pipe not a clue why???. Its a steady dip, started it up this morning after fitting my rad i had repaired by the time the fan kicked in there was a 12 inche puddle of oil on the floor i noticed i little oil on my right boot last time i was out but i had just changed the box oil so thought it was abit of excess but now i know thats not the case. I am just hoping it never got to hot last time i was out when the rad went it its damaged the motor some were. Someone please tell me its nothing to worry about or its a easy fix because and really running thin on faith for these scorpas aft…

I guess I don't get it. They've announced the return of the 125 with pics and even a vid that I saw, but no info on the rest of the 2012 models? They are a little behind now, GG, Sherco, and Beta have all announced their new models. Anyone have any info?

Just wondering how much fork oil to put in forks. I can find info on newer bikes but unsure if it's the same for a 2001. Cheers

Hi everyone been out on my scorpa a few times now and I pretty impressed with it to be honest. But yesterday the rad went and is completely wrecked so am looking for a replacement I know it runs a yam motor just wondering is it a yam rad also I do alot of gasser spares and the gas gas rad is I perfect fit apart from the filler cap is the wrong side. So am wondering has anyone used a rad from another bike or a yam can't find a secondhand one anywere or new so looks like it's going to be scorpa direct and I can see that being pricey. Any help would be grateful thanks everyone Andy
