Scorpa

Out on the scorpa today, rear brake was working fine, then suddenly stopped working. Took the lever off made sure the rod was pushing in to the piston, which it was fine, pushed up the pison again with an allan key, was pushing up fine, but still nothing transferring to the rear calliper ??? Any ideas what the problem might be ???

hi all i have changed bikes from an 07 sy250 to a 11 gg pro 250 and still have the spare wheel for the scorpa that does not fit the gg despite everyone i've spoken to saying it should. was the 07 on odd size? it measures 141mm between the sprocket and the disc the pro being 138mm as is the new scorpa, so what else will it fit?

Hi all, I am interested in getting a SY250f, maybe in longride version. As an overly mature ( nearly 50 ) novice, OK total newbie, as my wife has just reminded me !!! A few questions please : 1. Would it be suitable to enter low grade events on the novice route ? 2. When I progress to expert level ( dreaming ) what would it take to convert the longride to a standard trials version, would it need a new tank, seat and mudguard units ? 3. Any other comments on the 2008 f model would be appreciated. Or any other make/model that might suit my requirements. PS only other advice my wife has said I should mention is that I am 6ft and the wrong side of 18 stone at the m…

Just bought a 2003 scorpa 250. The back brake felt like it had air in so i decided to bleed it. I then found that where the reservoir hose attaches to the master cylinder for the back brake the hose was split slighlty.. This has been cuased because its being trapped between the sing arm and the brake pedal. Has anybody else had anything like this happen? How did they rectify it?? Im abit stumped...

I have just got a replacement motor for a 2001 scorpa that has the Yamaha TYZ 250 engine in it. The replacement motor has a cable clutch pull and the original has an hydraulic one fitted. It would appear that the hydraulic clutch system would fit but the clutch actuator is different. Can anyone tell me how to change the actuator in the casing, or has anyone got a workshop manual extract showing how to get to the actuator. Any help would be grateful.

Hi, i recently over tightened the nipple on my rear calliper and snapted the head off leaving the rest of the nipple indide the casing. I would like to know , firstly is there now anyway of bleeding it without the nipple, and has anyone have suggestions on how to get the nipple out of the calliper????

Been messing around with the clutch on my 07 Sy250. Never seem to be able to get it adjusted right and hate the set up with master and slave cylinder. Has anyone tried to revert to the original cable operated clutch, as was used on the Yam TYZ. As I remember it was a really light clutch. Would it be a straightforward mod or are the original fixtures on the Yamaha case not the same as on the Scorpa now. Am I forgetting the benefits of a hydraulic clutch and is a half decent hydraulic system still better than a good cable system? What do you think?

Been looking at the carbon effect frame and exhaust guards for the Scorpa on the 'bay' has anyone bought some off there? How was the fitment. Here's both items - one feed back review said the frame guards needed modifying [frame guards] cheers.

Hello all. New to this site and lots of great information! What I'd like information on is where to get a half decent manual for my 2002 Scorpa SY250. I got a piece of c**p printout with he bike when I bought it almost 2 years ago, but it's as described. ANY help would be appreciated. Surely, this company would have published something better than what I have as a document for maintenance/repair. Also looking for a TYZ250 manual as I know the engine is the same as this bike. I do know they are RARE! Thanks!

Hi, my sy (2003) seems to be over heating, odd bit of water and steam is coming out of the overflow at top of the radiator. The fan doesnt seem to be working, not sure why, as iv had no problems with it before. Anyone got any ideas???

need to order wheel bearings for the front and back of my 04 sy250 and want to do it online. What size bearings am I needing? Someone told me that they use different sizes from the other trials manufacturers and that the front and back are different. I want to have the new bearings ready to go before I knock out the old ones so any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Well then, I have just stripped the bike to give it a service and found this schrader valve at the bottom of the shock under the plastic cover. I have never seen this on any sorpa before has anyone else??? I bought the bike off one of birketts riders a few months ago, is this one of his mods??? what pressure should it be set too???? Any info would be great.
