Just bought a piece of history!! I have an 09 Scorpa sy250 2t,factory prepaired and obviously the last one with the Jap engine!! Im led to believe that there were only 30 of these made,i know they are not a revolution of the 08 bike but thought it would be nice to own one :-) Im a Gasgas man normaly and also have a 09 250 Pro,but thought i would give the Scorpa a try as it looks beautiful and built to last, unlike some other makes which turn out to be made of recycled coke cans :-) Benz

Does anyone have an easy way of aligning the rear wheel, in the past I've just eyed it through, but I can't seem to do that with the scorpa...... For some unknown reason, it seems to be offset. If I line it up with the shock mount it looks as if its turning in towards the right hand peg. I placed a combi square on the outside edge (from the rear) of the swing arm and it measured 75mm to the edge of the rim, but it measured 70mm on the left.....but looks to be running true.... Can somebody please enlighten me. ps. Ive been a welder/fitter for 8 yrs, and a sheet-metal/fabricator for 8yrs, so I'm not entirely clueless....( although I am now a shiny-a***, manager and cad…

Hi all, I've been meaning to post this for a while now, so here goes.... I seem to be able to find neutral very easily, not that I don't know where it is, but I have never had this before with a trials machine, and thought that was the way it was meant to be so you would find it difficult to hit neutral by accident, and avoid injury. Most Ive been on I get fed-up of trying to find it and sit down, and select it by hand. On the SY, if I dont hold the shifter in position momentarily when going from 1st to 2nd I hit neutral. I'm not complaining, Im just not used to it, and wondering if there may be something wrong. Are the Sy's all like this, or just mine.

  9. I need a flywheel / ignition cover and prefer a stronger (and expectedly less expensive) aftermarket one but I cannot seem to find anything on the web. With the exception of the TYZ250 (which I could not find anything), are there any other Yamaha models that used the same basic engine? Thanks, Mark

Are the front brake master cylinders generic or bike specific for the SY250. Reason for asking is I've just sheared off the cap head screw that clamps the whole shooting match to the handle bar and the other one won't shift either. I was trialing tomorrow too. Briefly (very briefly) contemplated riding as it was - brake held on by 1 cap head screw and spinning about all over the place. In stead got the trusty drill out to drill out the screw and yep,you guessed it, the drill wandered off into the softer alloy!!! Blast, drilled and tapped the result to M5 and put a bolt in which holds everything as it should be but it's not right. Are there any up grades, what do you rec…

Hi, has anybody got or owned a T ride, I have been looking at it for LDT and trail riding and the trail bike route at some trials. Don't see any at any events, i wonder why, are they any good , or are they to exspensive, I have a pampara which is good for all the above but just feel like a change, OR NOT.

Hi, site noob so hello to all. Got me an ebay bike and having problems; 1. The front brake refuses to bleed up, the front brake was poor to start with but I've actually made it worse. The master cylinder doesn't seem to be moving any fluid at all in my bleeding tube. There was a good lever to start with so I assume the cyl is ok but a routine strip has left me with no lever at all... who are ajp anyway? don't get em on 'blades.. 2. The clutch is useless, It gets better when the engine is warm but you still can't paddle backwards as it's dragging. I've heard that clutches on trials bikes stick until the thing's warm, (true??) but even then it doesn't seem to be 100%. Ca…

I would like some advise please. My 07 Scorpa has an intermittent running problem. The bike starts and runs fine most of the time but occasionally the engine dies. It sounds like it is a fuel starvation problem ie the bike revs increase, then it will either stall or if I'm lucky continue running if I rev it a bit. I have had the carb off and cleaned it thorougly, so i'm at a bit of a loss what to check next..Any ideas anyone ? Thanks
