Hello boys and girls. I have just bought a TY250, (1993).Info on its exact model name would help. It is my first foray into trials bikes. I have off-roaded on my DR350, but always fancied trials. As a total wobbler, can anyone give me any advice on good sites to get info, and preferably a manual, for the bike? Also, anywhere to have a go at some gentle trialling. I am near St. Albans, Herts.

You certainly have to be careful buying bikes on E-bay.If the special Fantic wasn't enough, this guy's trying to sell a TYZ with no airbox or cooling fan. He explains "that it has the usual Yam rattles, yes even watercooled ones rattle". Well what a surprise! hi can anyone help ive just painted my cilinder head with heat proof engine paint and it seamed to be smoking off the cilinder head cover but iv had it all to pieces and just put the petrol tank back on so i was wandering if it was that and it seames top be running very fast could it be because the engine is dry thanks

how do i clean the rear twinshocks and get get them off do i nead a spring clamp or not

I am restoring a pre pinky TY 250 with a group of school kids in Thailand and I am having problems with the front wheel spindle. Is there a specific tool or does anyone know of a suitable alternative. Obviously getting genuine tools is an issue out here. Any general help would be appriciated.

anyone know if you can replace the plastic slider? or do you have to purchase a hole new switch? anyone know any prices for switches? lukeo

ive now sorted my gear selecting problem

Picture this cleaned carb, (spotless) fitted carb, turned petrol on, petrol leaking from botton overflow not the top 2. Tried blowing down the fuel pipe and the cut off valve is working ok. Please help im sick of taking it to bits and finding nothing wrong.

hi someone said strip the gearbox on my old ty175 but how do i do this because the nut wont crack on the clutch plate holder because ive got nothing to hold the friction plate holder wuith thanks in advance

Hey everyone! I've been riding my dad's old 78 ty 175 up at the annual "bike weekends" at the cottage when my family and friends go up to do some hard riding.. My ty is running a tubed MT43,can i fit a tubless mitchy(with tube)?,getting different answers, like would,nt fit rim,come off at low pressures ect.Any help very welcome.

Do engine parts,(piston, rod, crank,clutch,etc) brakes, cables, etc. from the DT models swap out with TY parts? So if I found a Yamaha DT model I might could use the engine parts in my TY? Thanks, Mick USA
