does any one know where i can get some new or recon calipers or new seals for my brembo calipers for my tyz? front bleed nipple is seized and rear has blown a seal, any help most appreciated. thanks

Hi, Is it possible to get a slide for the carburetor fitted to a Yamaha TY 80 circa 1974, and how much would one cost. Also having difficulty cranking with the kick start, only starts to work half to three quarters at the end of it's travel and sometimes can't get it to engage at all....................rob PS. I have a new generic Mukuni VM22 carb I fitted to my TY175, I had the flange tuned to make it a round mount. Please help with jetting. I have tried to match the stock jetting, but I was wondering if anyone has installed a new 'pre-jetted' VM22 carb on their TY? What is the jet sizes you have used? Main, Pilot, needle jet and needle? I'm sure I need to replace the needle but don't want to buy several and they not work. Thanks,

I need a new 1st oversize piston for a 320 Majesty engine. I believe that a DT360 was used originally, do pistons from any other models fit? Thanks

I've got a couple of problems with the TY250 twinshock i'm rebuilding concerning the clutch basket. Well lack of availability really. the baskets on two of the engines have broken "fingers" and i need to source a good condition replacement. Now i've managed to get hold of a clutch basket for a TY250A but mine is a later TY250d i think. Has anybody tried to fit the A clutch to a later model? does it fit? are any mods needed to make it fit? Anybody got a couple of good clutch baskets if not? please pretty please

hi how do you remove chain tensioner on ty175 is the circlip on the inside by the tyre or the out side . as new ones show it hollow where it mounts and mine is like capped on the outside any help appreciated

Hi. Thanks for all the excellent TY info here. I used to ride a Bultaco in some of the local vintage events, but that was 20 years ago. I recently bought a pile of stuff that should yield one fairly complete 250, and tripped over a TY175 last week. One of them will be my new machine. I can't wait to go ride with all the other old guys. Personally, I'm hoping the 175 works out. Although they seem to be pretty popular in Europe, I don't know if i've ever seen another here in the states. It is a cool little machine. JUST WONDERD IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHERE TO GET PARTS FOR THE TYZ 250, ONLY HAD GASSERS BEFORE AND I HAVE JUST HAD THIS BIKE GIVEN AND IT NEEDS SOME WORK, IE THE BACK SHOCK TOP END IS A BIT NOISY, WOULD APPRECIATE ANY LEADS TO A PARTS OUTLET CHEERS.

my mono seems to be hunting a bit on tickover, any ideas? also there was a home made spacer fitted between carb and barrel, which i have removed, i presume it was to tame the power a bit any ideas, cheers guys

Hi i have the chance of an alloy kickstart off a Yz /Wr 250 1995 model does anybody know if this will fit my Ty mono please,the guy says it looks like it has 32 splines for the fitment onto shaft.Ay help would be helpfull. Thanks.

There might be the possibility, of a trade deal coming up... I'll wind up with a TY175 .. 74' model I believe.. I like the looks of the twin shock classics, and those tiny little seats.. Give this fat man a place to rest. Ha. Just saw a picture of a TY with modern forks and a disk brake. Yes.. watching the classic trials videos on YouTube.. Those bikes are really neat.

Anyone here know which front brake plate is used when converting the front brake on a TY250 mono to use an external arm as opposed to the enclosed one. I have one but it has been repaired and just need to sort a new plate. It is a Yamaha plate and has magnesium in raised letters on it. Thanks in advance.

hi yet another question will a majesty tank fit on my ty175 and will i be able to use my original ty175 seat just wondered as i do like the look of the majesty tank ? also i saw on here somewhere someone restored a ty175 and fitted a ty80 tank on it made the bike look a lot slimmer i though it looked good any one done this ? will a ty80 tank fit straight ion too many thanks

Iam going to apologise for this mail before I even start, but I've got ask. Todays the first time I've got to put some air in me tires. I did see when I bought the bike it had 2 valves per wheel but didn't think anything about it until now. Whats that about then and which one do i put the air in. I do feel ashamed asking but I've looked in me manual and on the net and cant find any aswers. Cheers Squid.

Hi, I need a shifter drum for my 1978 ty 175 and would like to install the ty250 piston in my overbored cylinder to up the displacement to 192cc. Please advise which 250 piston I need, pre-mono or? Cheers, Guy
