Whats the correct plug for a villiers 32a engine?

I’ve completed my trials project rolling chassis, but I’m now stuck for an engine! Does anyone know where the best place to find a Villiers 32a or 37a engine? (I’ve placed an ad in the classifieds) How hard is it to find just an engine, and would the earlier 9e engine be worth considering?

OK, so next question on the beezer :-) How do you remove the clutch operating arm from the drive that moves the push rod, is it a screw fix or taper? Thanks

I have two wide swinging arms for my cub and have been riding with the one that is an inch (25mm) longer than the standard, If I change to the shorter standard length how would that effect the steering, i.e. would I be able to turn tighter with the standard one. I hope someone can advise as it would save me a bit of work changing only to find its worse? Any thoughts would be great.

So, a mixed day today, the two Tufnol spacers have worked a treat and very little heat is being transferred back to the carb, great, happy days. However, after around 8 sections I get that very painful metal on metal noise. Diagnosis between sections ranged from, big end, small end, tappets, push rods, etc etc. I rode the bike back to van really slowly and after say 5 mins the noise had totally gone. I spoke to someone and tried to make the noise happen again, and after letting the engine run for a while and a few Andy Roberton type laps round the field the noise came back. Hi all, Apart from the standard black plastic like inlet manfolds you can get from places like InMotion does anyone know of any other type available? I suffered a bit with heat transfer to the carb and was trying to understand what options there are out there.

Anyone help setting up the points and atu on my side points cub. I had to split the motor to replace the kick start pawl, thats done but the atu and points arent right as ive a spark but dont know how to set it right. The haynes book seems to be written in imperial too LOL

Any tips on the best in line oil filter to use on a C15? Also do I put in on the feed or return oil pipe? Thanks

Hi all i have a disi . model tiger cub and have a Boyer mark 3 ignition for it , i know now it might not be ideal for trials but they were being sold off at the end of a show and i naively bought one,,,any way,,does anyone have experiance with wiring them , i've used an O.T.J. diagram off the web using a lucas capacitor with new coil and new alternator but so far no spark,,any ideas

Can anyone suggest someone who could supply me with a bolt that I need in order to complete a Bantam engine rebuild. The bolt I need is one of two that attach the gear selector quadrant to the engine case for a 4 speed engine.

I See some billet yokes for the cub have a 1.5° offset between the fork tubes and spindle, which way does this offset go? (Front wheel towards the down tube, or further away) And what’s the reason, to tighten up the steering angle or to help the front wheel clear the frame?

I'm currently rebuilding a bantam D10a 4 speed engine and i've got a couple of problems.... 1. The 3rd / 4th gear selector fork keeps popping out of engagement with its dog. I'm pretty sure that the selector fork is damaged but it doesn't look like there is any breakage. I have (hopefully) attached a few pics to help explain the problem. Is the fork damaged or am I doing something else silly ? 2. I need to replace the bronze bushes in the final drive gear. Are there any hints or tips for this ?

Dear all, Im just interested if any of you know how people maintained their small ends in the period pre roller cage bearings and for that matter, today at 4-t, eg ultra thin BMW. Press in the new bush in place, Ive done, fine drill by adjustable reaming tool 0.01-3mm, Ive done. Maybe Ive done it wrong.... Think Ive read when order new small end bush for eg Pre-65 2-t, "you need to fine drill inner diameter by reaming tool once bush fitted to the con rod" .... Hi there , ive just bought these forks for my Cub , they are 30mm diameter sliders the yokes have a big offset and have the tapered top Does any one know what they were off and how old are they suitable for the pre 65 scottish ?

Does anybody have any experience with these bikes? I have an opportunity to pick on up and would love any opinions. I would not use for trials but rather as a round town bike to run errands on. Cheers Jon
