Hello! A new BikeTrials club has been formed up in North Yorkshire, aiming at bringing in grass roots riders, young riders, old riders, people who have never ridden before into the sport. Its basically Motorbike trials without the motor. We ran our first ever event last month, with 14 entries, all local lads, most of whom had never ridden a cycle-trial before. The feedback we had was brilliant, so we are hoping round two is just as good. This year will be a three-part series, with Round two being this Sunday (20th July). If you ride locally or even want to try the sport out - please do get in touch, either on here, Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail from our website. This Sunda…

I am on the verge of buying a new bike but could do with some advice to help me decide. Am looking for something that would be fairly handy at bike trials (only practise mind you) but would also be able to go out with the g/f at weekends for a cycle along the old railway lines nearby. Is there such a dual purpose type of bike??? Any help would be good. Cheers

Just wondering what foot position you people use while on a pedal bike? I have always rode on the balls of my feet but recently was told you should ride on the arch!

I would like to buy a trials bicycle. Does anyone know of any bike shops in Amarillo, Albuquerque, or Denver who have them on the floor. I have found only online stores WebCyclery and Midwest bike trials . I would like to "sit" on one before I fork over $1,450. I am reluctant to buy one sight unseen. Advice on which bike would be best for a fat old man would be appreciated. Thanks Doug

Do you have to have the ability to hop around on the front and back wheel? to ride bike trials? Or is it like moto trials where only the experienced are riding on the back wheel?and the rest of mere mortals are riding around on two wheels. Forgive my ignorance for i have not been to bike trials event and cannot find a normal(for want of a better word) bike trials vid on youtube.

Some of you will know Sam and Tom Oliver. Ex Motorcycle Trials Riders (well still ride now and then) - converted to bike trials fairly recently, and been training hard, including the odd excursion with Ot Pi. The work showed today at round 1 of the British Champs: Sam came 1st in his age group (12-13) by a fairly large margin, losing 5 marks, the next being around the 40 mark. Tom came 2nd in the 10 year olds. Not a bad result at all - keep it up lads

What do Tone Bou, Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo & Takahishi Fujinami have in common? Well apart from being top world trials riders they all made there name in winning world biketrial championships before they moved to the motorized variety. They have managed to transfer the skills they learnt on a bicycle with balance and hopping onto the motorbikes with great success. In both Spain and Japan the sport of biketrials is big and is bringing new riders through all the time for a future on the World trials circuit. Britain has a small dedicated biketrial following and maybe can do the same in future being a stepping stone into motorbike trials. Currently we have t…

Evening all, I dont get to post much these days, its a bit difficult to follow or reply to mototrials when you don't ride anymore. I pop in every now and then for a look whats happening, but...I thought you might like to see what I gave up mototrials for. Thats what drains my wages, destroys my body and keeps me occupied these days Some people aren't a fan of the yellow rims, but nevermind, thought you might want a peek Enjoy.
